My thoughts on the game tonight. Marion lined up against Sequatchie tonight to play smash mouth football and got there teeth knocked out! Im not bashing this is my problem with football today. It use to be a contact sport. But today there is no way to determine who can take the pounding. Back in the good old days of football a person got his position by taking a beating in practice because the man across from you wanted you’re spot not to make you look good.. That’s how a person earned his spot on the team. If the man across from me only went half speed that ment I only went half speed that’s only giving 50% when it come to game time you have no idea what 110% is. You can practice all year long without hitting and some kids will look amazing but when it comes to game time and contact starts that amazing athlete that you was going to make a star out of may need to be on the sideline talking to his girlfriend or parents. There was a lot of missed tackles tonight because of not wanting to hit

That Coffelt man did that last year at a Marion County playoff game and his kids was hooked. They was very excited to wear that purple and white before the game was over. He said it was the best decision they had ever made for the kids.

If you can get them boys to Tracy City by 7:00am. I will give them a free ride to Marion. My boys pass by there everyday. I will buy a bus if there is more kids that won't to go just to give them the opportunity that my boys have got to be a part of. Get my number from your brother he has it . I'm always avalible .

Jnutz2, I played ball at Marion when y'all played at Grundy. You and you're brother was outstanding ball players.Bring them boys to Marion. Go talk with the principle or vice principle and just see what they have to look forward to. We drive 20 miles one way to give my kids the best option in the area to make there lives a successfull one. My oldest son is in his 3rd year at Marion and is an honor student and has been to the big show in Cookeville 2 years and hopefully this will be 3 in a row for him. He has accomplished things by being a part of a winning team that some kids will never get to enjoy or understand . I made the decision several years to drive from grundy to marion to give them this opportunity and it was the best thing me and my wife ever did for them. The boys are very appreciative of it. Some of there best friends still go to Grundy and my boys say all the time it's sad that there friends don't get to experience what they get to experience every day.

I will take Bledsoe by a bunch. That's even even if grundy has a team. How do you take kids out of the school and replace kids that have worked out all year with you.

If Marion County don't pick up the pace and is flat like today it will be a long night. They come out and score 21 in the first quarter and only get 1 TD in the 2nd.
