  1. Any prospects for who the new coach will be for this job?
  2. So far the jobs that are open and can be added to: Unicoi county Kingston South Greene Huntingdon Glenclif Hunters Lane Oneida Clay County David Crockett Munford Are there any other openings currently? Any news on who is applying for them or also who will get them?
  3. Where has it been posted officially?
  4. Can someone tell me how much they have coming back next year? Also what does their future look like for their program?
  5. Do you know what play days are going on, on the fourteenth?
  6. Well Cumberland will be rebuilding this year after losing 4 starters from last year. And in fact they don't have any seniors this year. By the end of the year they will probably be fine as young players mature but they lost most if not all of their scoring from last year. Epperson is doing a good job with the program and will have them playing hard as always so who knows maybe they can surprise some people. On the other hand I heard great things about Warren from the summer and most people think they have the second most talent in the district this year. With a new coach it is possible they could be second or third fairly easily. Coffee County struggled this summer and White County did okay from what I heard but is probably still just third in the district. So going into the season 1. Cookeville - return the best guard combo in the district 2. Warren - new coach and energy and enough talent to help them do great things - I would think most warren fans would be having a parade if they got second 3. White - could battle it out with warren but still third because they lost so much from last year 4. Coffee - bigger and much taller posts and more experience coming back then cumberland 5. Cumberland - could surprise people but who knows with lack of experience and very small team
  7. Many games will be close and the only thing certain is that only Cookeville looks like the favorite.
  8. A team that I am surprised that has not been mentioned is Stone Memorial. From what I have heard around the mountain they are drilling people at camp and have 6 seniors this year. They should be one of the top teams in this part of the state for certain based on their scores this summer. They have speed, size, and enough shooters to give you problems. I heard they played their jv a ton against Oliver Springs and at one point were up over 30 points. At one camp they went undefeated and no one got within 20 points of them. The top five from the summer based on scores and knowing who people are missing right now should be. 1. Gibson Co. 2. Westview 3. Stone Mem. 4. South Greene 5. Cannon Co. (they have the talent to beat anyone but are very inconsistant)
  9. He leaves a good team behind. He did a great job building the program up and built a great program from nothing. The could be great next year although Coach Foster has big shoes to fill.
  10. Just saw on the TSSAA website that Harpeth is looking for a girls basketball coach. What is going on there?
  11. The second makes some sense - it is definately a possibility if the other does not occur. The problem with both of those solutions is at least for appearance sake is that you do such a great search for a boys coach why would the girls now get that same type of time and effort to look outside the program like the boys did. Because both options look like they really are not wanting to even try and find someone that might be more qualified that is currently at another school. They did not even post the position like they did the boys job.
  12. So is there an opening at knox halls?
  13. It will be the assistant coach from what I have heard. They had a meeting and decided on who they wanted in boys and girls last saturday. We should hear about it publicly soon.
