  5. I think the program was going in the right direction under Bragg and his staff. With that being the case, it would be good if the school hired someone that has already been there. Out of all the names I'm hearing, Larry Lepkowski would be the best fit for the job. He knows the kids, parents and community, has worked close with Bragg as assistant head and DC. Bragg's first two seasons, the MCHS defense ranked in the top two each year for run and pass stop in the district. He's already in the building and would make the transition very easy and smooth for everyone involved.
  6. I am the Head Coach of a Tennessee High School football team as well as a Christian and my stance is this: I, for one, am no where near being perfect. I am going to put my team in a position where they can win at the scoreboard at the end of the field. But more importantly, I am going to put them in a position to win at the scoreboard's at the end of their lives. We Pray before and after every practice and games(in which I lead). We have a Team Chaplin who is at almost every practice and game. We also have an FCA Character Coach Speaker every Thursday to bring the Word and open the Invitation to Christian Discipleship (So far we've had over 40 kids to give their life to Christ and more than 60 to rededicate their lives (in less than 3 years). I strongly feel that God puts his people in leadership positions to help carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28). Like I said before, I'm not perfect. But I'd hate to be the person, who at the end of their life, have to explain to GOD why they didn't take advantage of the opportunities that he gave them to spread his Word to others. So as for me and my Family, we will serve the Lord!
  7. Have 101 on the roster as of now. I'm sure several will drop by the season, but kids are working hard. Been averaging around 65 at winter workouts.
  8. Rumor is that Ken Busbee has been named the new Head Coach at Clarksville High (Don't quote me on that just yet). He was the Offensive Coord. for Snider for several years at CHS. Last year, he was with us at Montgomery Central and did a great job. Good luck to Coach Busbee!! Clarksville High has them a great coach who really cares about his kids and knows his X's & O's. I really hope the administration gets behind him and gives him what he needs to be successful.
  9. The Indians seem to be really improving. I watched several ball games last year and thought they looked 10 times better than they did in years past. Heard they also got some transfers in from Hopkinsville? Does anyone know our schedule for this upcoming season?
  10. Well I was waiting for someone else to make this post, but I guess I'll go ahead and get it started. Two teams with the best overall records in their district (Montgomery Central 4-1 & Camden 5-0). Both are wing-t teams. Central has shown a lot of improvement this year, but can they match up to the speed of Camden?
  11. I thought the Spring Game was a success too. After the FCA speaker spoke, there were about 4 or 5 kids who gave their lives to Christ. We need more stuff like that going on in our schools. You know the kids and coaches only had a week to prepare (really 4 days of practice). Time to hit the weights and get big now. Let's bring it home Central!!!!
  12. Everything went well in the RED-WHITE. When the starters were in, the passing game and running game looked real well. You could tell those younger kids were still learning. It looked like everyone had a good time at the game and an even better time at the parent meeting and cookout. The FCA speaker (Pastor David Mackin) did a great job. Coach Bragg and his staff run a great program!! Very classy. Best of luck to our Indians this year!!!
  13. What is the outlook for our Indians this year? We've got our 2nd annual red vs. white game this Friday (5/14) We were able to bring home several wins this past year (I count Stewart Co. game as a win). I heard they have several new coaches on the staff this year. What's the word?
  14. I'm not surprised by the question. I was surprised at how fast you posted the question. lt was almost as if you were trying to rush Graham out the door. I know Spring ball is about to start and they have to keep the momentum going, but you posted that question almost at the same time he made his announcement to leave. I just thought the timing was bad. But you're right. AE is a top program and whoever gets the opportunity to coach there will inherit some great talent and great kids.
  15. Before anybody talks about new coaches at AE, I want to say Graham is one of the best coaches in Tennessee. He did a lot of great things for his kids/coaches that most other area coaches would never do. He has sent more kids to college than any other coach in Knoxville in the past 5 years. Fulton and Catholic kids would even go to Graham after the season for help to get into school (because their coaches weren't doing anything to help). I don't think Knoxville realizes the impact of Graham leaving AE. He was also a great assett and ambassador for the school. He participated in every in-service and faculty meeting. He will compliment Joe Gaddis/ staff and continue to impact the lives of young people in North Carolina. AE is losing a great coach. I can't believe you would post that question 2 hours after he announced he was leaving.
  16. Wow . Reading some of these posts made me want to go in a cold-dark room and slit my wrist. 'Oh no, my team can't win a game because the band is playing too loud. WAAAAAAHHH!!! Somebody please make them stop. It's not fair I tells ya!! WAAAAHH!!! MOOOMMMMYY!!!' If that's the excuse you have for your team not being able to win, then my response would be either fire your current band director and tell the new one to get with the program (of what every one else is doing), or take your liberal-thinking hind parts back to the North where no one gives a crap about football. This is the South, so get your head out & focus up on football. That's just part of it. I wish I could find the cry baby(s) who wined to the Georgia Athletic Association about this issue also. I guess teams who have a lot of coverage on coach T blogs also make it unfair during the season for the teams they play against because it makes more fans come out and yell for their team. I've got an idea: How about we all get the tssaa to just make things fair for everyone by only allowing 100 people for both sides to enter the game. Each person gets a certain amount of words to say & only 2 farts to make during the game. That way, no one's being too loud. We could even get the local librarian to mediate and announce the game. While we're at it, let's set it up where the band can only have one instrument a piece and maybe, if we're real lucky, we can get the offense to tell the defense what play they're running 2 out of the 4 downs. Yeah, that'll make it real fair . It sounds like all of you need to quit sipping on momma's milk and come up with a real excuse for why you can't win. Here's a start, Coach your kids up better to look watch the ball instead of listen to the QB. I sincerely hope this is not a football coach causing all of this ruccuss I can't believe I just wasted 5 minutes of my 'taking a dump time' typing this to the 'play it fair' fairies.
  17. I wasn't talking to your statement. It just happened to be the last one on the page so i replied to it. I read what everyone was talking about and its just crazy to me how times have changed.

  19. OK, i get it. You shouldn't cuss AT a kid. But what you all dont get is that this the problem with America today. I mean, what are cuss words anyway. Was there a committee that sat down a long time ago and said, "let's create some words that no one is supposed to say? It's like we allow kids to have rights as if they are equal to adults. THEY'RE KIDS, THEY HAVE NO STINKING RIGHTS!!! You have parents like yourselves who get offended over everything and want to blame everybody else for why 'little johny' is screwed up and cant take discipline or authority. But at the same time, you want to take discipline and authority out of the hands of everyone who has it. That's what makes people not want to even deal with your d*mn kids in the first place. No wonder we have so many kids disrespecting authority figures in the classroom and on the field. Its because of discussion boards like this. And I will bet money that the same parents and people who complain about things like this are the same people who take their sons on vacation in the middle of camp or allow their kid to miss practice for some silly reason. And the crazy thing is, these same parents will be upset with the coach for disciplining their kid when they get back. You all expect everybody to get trohphies at banquets and that everyone should have equal playing time too. Give me a ######*%$ng break!!! Oops I meant 'freaking break' wouldnt want to offend anybody. I cant believe I just wasted my time enlightening you all about this.
  20. Indian Nation Football just launched their new football website. Check it out when you get a chance. Its actually pretty nice. Coach Bragg is really making some huge steps out there. Give us your comments. Its been up for about 2.5 months now and we've had right over 1million hits. Thanks for all your support!!! Go Indians!!!
  21. Congrats to Coach Bragg. We are looking forward to watching him turn this program around. I heard he already has the ball moving on alot of different projects. Does anyone know the schedule for this Spring? Also, have any decisions been made about his coaching staff for this upcoming year? We have to get some knowledgable coaches who know football and will be respected by the kids. Especially inside the school. Anyway, let's find ways as fans and Indian supporters to get behind our program. Go Indians!!!!
