  5. Wednesday 8/10 - Scrimmage vs Alcoa @ Farragut 6:00 PM
  6. Unfortunately the schedule from Knox News was incorrect. The only place I know of that has the correct schedule is at each school's location. If someone has additional info....please post. At Farragut: 10:30am - Heritage vs Ooltewah 1:00pm - Dobyns Bennett vs Hardin Valley 3:30pm - Sevier County vs Ooltewah 6:30pm - William Blount vs Gibbs 8:30pm - Powell vs Farragut
  7. The announced schedule must have had some additional changes. If the Seymour game is moved to Webb @ 12:30pm that is in conflict with the scheduled 12:30pm - Webb vs Pigeon Forge.

  10. Poorest game Farragut has played in a long time. Freeman, Newby, Thompson, & Vannoy pitched but mostly lots of errors (I think around 7 or so), wild pitches, walks, hit batters and many mental errors. Not sure if they got the Bartlett game in. Farragut was going to pitch a freshman: Chambers.
  11. Semi Finals: Farragut 18 Science Hill 7 (6 innings run rule) Finals: Farragut 14 Independence 2 (5 innings run rule)
  12. Today's Semi-Finals: 1PM: Farragut vs Science Hill (Maybe Pfeifer vs Norris..2 of the best High School pitchers may go against each other. They both pitched on Wednesday) Independence vs Baylor
  13. Any scoring by either team after the 4th?
  14. I watched the first 4 innings between Anderson County and Farragut yesterday at Farragut. the score was 11-0 Farragut and Pfeifer hadn't pitched up to that point. #2 from AC pitched the first 3 innings and gave up 4 runs......#13 pitched the 4th and gave up 7 runs. Farragut then started to play all their subs after that. I do not know what happened after the 4th inning.
  15. This is MUST win for Farragut. If they are not totally up and ready to play a solid 48 minutes of football for this game I can not see it coming in the near future. They are 0-1 in the district and can not afford to go 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the district with Riverdale, Maryville & Bearden upcoming.
  16. Farragut 41 Oak Ridge 17 Hudson will run for 200+ yards...
  17. OL is up for this one.....bounce back Friday.....Ads 27-14
  18. Some observations from the Farragut point of view...... They ran the ball 17 times..... - Hudson, #3, had 6 rushes for 66 yards (avg 11) - The rest of the team (3 or 4 RBs/QB) 11 rushes for 33 Yards (avg 3) If Hudson had the same number of rushes as Sensabaugh, 19, and maintained his 11 avg that would have given him 209 yards rushing. Even if he only averaged half of the 11 (5.5) after his first 6 rushes that still would have given him 138 yards vs 124 for Sensabaugh. Maybe a closer game. Turnovers......3 fumbles for Farragut, lost 1, but the recovered fumble hurt just as much. Ball in the DB 2 yard line, 2nd and goal. Three shots at moving the ball 2 yards. Fumble, they recovered on the 8 for 3rd and 8. QB ran for minimal gain. Missed short field goal. Perhaps they should have had 7. Maybe a closer game. The lost fumble on the kick-off in 4th qtr led to DB's 4th TD. No fumble...Maybe a closer game. DB, except for Hudson, stopped Farragut's running game. They only tried 5 passes with 3 completions. When the running game was stopped perhaps more pass attempts would have helped open up the running game more. Maybe a closer game. I realize winning and losing is made up of missed opportunities and mistakes. Winning teams take advantage of their scoring opportunites and make fewer mistakes. DB took advantage of their opportunities, for the most part, and made fewer mistakes. Dobyns Bennett played a very good game on both sides of the ball. Farragut has a young, mostly inexperienced team. As the season goes on I believe they will significantly improve, fewer mistakes and become opportunistic. I think they will see improvement against Oak Ridge, and win. My Monday Morning Quarterbacking.......
  19. Here's what others think: Knoxville New Sentinel: Jesse Smithey:.... DB by 4 WVLT TV Russo:.... DB USA Today (Highschoolsports.net)...... Farragut 26 Dobyns Bennett 13 Preseason Rankings: (CBSSports MAXP) (DIV 6A):...... FHS #9 DB #24 USA Today (Highschoolsports.net) All TN...... FHS #10 DB #56 It looks like a toss-up.......what is your prediction?
  20. If DB can stop Farragut's running game they will win. Farragut has had trouble passing. Many picks vs completions. Same with their rushing defense....much better than their passing defense. They ran at will against Clinton and won easily. They completed maybe 4 or 5 passes and had 2 picks. Bottom line, if Farragut can run the ball and eliminate picks and holding penalties they will win. My 2 cents.
  21. Farragut looked bad only against Alcoa. I would not be surprised if everyone looks bad against Alcoa.....even Maryville. They are a young team, getting better in each game. They just may surprise everyone.
  22. Farragut 41 Clinton 7 Clinton could not stop the Farragut running game. They may have had 2 more TDs but 4 holding penalties and 2 interceptions in the first half negated 2 scores. It didn't matter who ran the ball, and everyone did, and they all ran at will. Either their OL was outstanding or Clinton's line needs some work. Clinton's score came on a long pass play. Farragut threw for 2 TDs and 2 Interceptions with few other completions, maybe 3. #3 played some at DE and could not be stopped. He consistently was in the backfield tackling runners or after the QB. Next Thursday is for real....let's see how Farragut does against DB.
  23. No details but heard A-E did very well.
  24. I heard it was "ALL" Alcoa......
