  1. Sure glad you are a "former" ref---seems like there are a whole lot of "I's" in your statement. While I agree that this score is over the top and not knowing the particulars of the situation, not a very classy move. But you sir, with your comments and how YOU would affect the game as official, are not far behind them.

May want to hold this quote until mid-February and re-visit your thoughts - they usually find a way....... I stand by my quote from December.....
  3. Give me the gate and I will take a team from a small, rural, Single A West Tennessee town over a AAA team from Memphis any day of the week.
  4. Here's the video if you want to see him in action: http://www.tssaanetwork.com/usj/events/27267

  6. My point exactly - would think Milan would be glad to NOT be playing a public school for a change. (Oh by the way - I AM pulling for Milan to bring home the title)
  7. If only Lee had a brother.....sigh......

Alcoa is public, right ---- how's that been working out for you?????
  9. This is about all the "reasonable facts" anyone should need: http://www.tssaanetwork.com/usj/events/24848 (link to the USJ-Webb game)
  10. Just really glad this will be decided on the field instead of the voters that decided the Mr. Football awards. If the voters decided, neither USJ or St. George's would win this game - it would be a 3 peat.
  11. Lee and Chase had much rather walk off this stage with the smaller trophy and prepare for the State Championship, big stage game Thursday than the other way around.
  12. If you think for one second that anyone in the USJ camp is overlooking this game, you are sadly mistaken. The win over Knoxville Webb was huge, but it was only a step to the state championship game. The regular season game with St George was a lot closer than the final score indicates. With 3 or 4 State Runner-Up Plaques in the trophy case, I guarantee you Marley and crew know that the final game is what matters, and there is not one kid that will be worried about the size of their rings until Dec 2nd. I do agree with you about the 9 days can't get here fast enough.
  13. Trust me buddy - from where I sit, it was all good !!! Guess good thing we brought Ryan Garner, Chase Rushing, and both lines--- You are right, Mayhall would not have beat them by himself...I don't think. Congratulations Bruins !!!
  14. On my way - will be there early and praying that I get your normal seat Good luck to all the players tonight - hoping for a good game with no injuries. Regardless of who wins (and yes Webb should be favored), only 4 teams still playing and that's quite an accomplishment.
  15. You do know this makes you look like an idiot, right?????
  16. Guess that's the reason we play the game - not for sure Webb will win as easily as you think. Long trip from Jackson - but that's why we have vacation days! - can't wait...should be a good game.
  17. Harding would have something to say about that. Think you can put USJ-ECS as the other top two teams, but realistically can't say one is better than the other. Both games went down to the wire - I have a feeling if they played 10 times, we would need an 11th game as a tie breaker.
  18. Wow ! What a game between ECS and USJ. The radio announcers that cover all Jackson schools said this was the best high school football game that they have ever seen. Referees were quoted as saying that players on both teams played hard but with as much class as any they have ever called. Congratulations to both schools on an unbelievable game - one that will be talked about for a long time.
  19. Guess time now to quit talking and start playing ! Hope your QB is back for playoffs and rest of the team goes injury free rest of the way. Good luck tonight.
  20. We may have been at different games - I remember USJ scoring on first drive after 7 plays. I remember one missed FG from SG after being 1st and goal from 2 yd line and getting pushed back to 20 yard line. Link to the game: http://www.tssaanetwork.com/usj/events/22512
  21. I was at the SGIS/USJ game - sorry, but have to disagree with the SGIS beat themselves statement. USJ was flat clicking on all cylinders that night and SGIS had no answer.
  22. Thanks all - I was thinking a year from date last played also. Not a bonafide move - just school to school in same general vacinity. Laughing out loud at coffeebreak comment - private to private. Guess if he gets to this point, coaches would know how to check with TSSAA. Appreciate the input.
  23. Kid plays varsity ball at one school, but quits team on 12-2-10. Last game played was 11-30-10. Played in 4 games + 2 HOF games. Transferred to another school - when would he be eligible to play on new school's team?
  24. I totally agree - http://www.jacksonsun.com/article/20111017/SPORTS/110170318/Focused-team-USJ-s-Lee-Mayhall-worried-about-titles-not-awards Mayhall gets my vote (on and off the field)
