Though the ND defenders did their job in keeping the ball out of the net, they were to quick to clear. Not "finding feet" as they say, or just clearing it out of bounds. I'd love to see a defender with an attacker on her back tap the ball back to the keeper and switch the field. Or would love to see the keeper roll it out to a player versus booting the ball 60 yards every time. Keeper did roll it out once,and Baylor was so surprised and so deep that a great ND attack resulted. ND had lots more chances on the crosses, just couldn't get the foot or head on the ball. I don't remember a legitimate shot from Baylor. There were maybe 2 dangerous Baylor crosses.

Baylor will try to win the game by any means necessary. They will also be practicing their playoff game plan with ND. So what if that means their playing 9 or 10 behind the ball? I bet ND will be faced with this sound strategy many times on their run to state.

2 A/AA teams should make state. My guess is Notre Dame and North Red Bank will advance. GPS should advance to their state tournament. I don't know enough about the teams that McMinn County and East Hamilton will face in their region and sectional games to hazard a guess if they will advance to state. I really like watching McMinn County play so I hope to see them there.

I think the ND boys posted 17 or 18 against Marion County last spring. I wasn't there so don't know circumstances but I definitely gave my fellow ND parents a jovial hard time about it.

Trevecca is a decent NAIA school. Every year they sign one or two from Chattanooga, including a Notre Dame graduate last year. Lipscomb seems to be on the verge every year of something good. Congrats to the McMinn girls for moving on.

ND's keeper's leg definitely works on short fields like at McMinn. Personally, I'd rather see ND build out of the back a little more, keeping possession.

I was glad to finally see my Sequatchie friends at Eberle Field. Maybe SC's administration have broken their misogynistic tendencies and we will see them again. It was evident to me that SC is well-coached and they played very hard.
