  1. Snow is a senior. She, Ramsey and Cravens made all-tournament.
  2. Gomab, he is 6'3" tops. He is not going to grow anymore either. He is obviously very physically mature and weighs probably 210. Saying he is 6'5" is like Charles Barkley was 6'8" until the NBA found out he was 6'4". Grades are most definitely a stumbling block. He is doing better, but he did sit out the 2nd half of his freshman year. There is absolutely no denying his skills, but the emotional baggage is filling up the trunk. I truly hope he can get his act together. As for big time tournaments, those are usuallly invitation only. Jamont didn't get out much this past summer to build his rep. I'm sure they will get invited to plenty for next year.
  3. Congratulations to the lady Buffaloes on winning the championship of the Smyrna Tournament over Dickson County. Snow played an outstanding game with 23 points and totally dominating the defensive glass and was selected MVP. Coach Rogers does a great job.
  4. Clarkrange shot very well (6 threes in the first half). Snow fouled out, but Goodpasture never got anything going offensively except for Hutchison (hit 4 threes). The lady buffaloes play on Monday night at 7:00 against Dickson County.
  5. Metroman, the player at Ezell is Mariska Reed. Tobin Steadman at FRA and Keeton Bodiford at DCA are pretty decent as well.
  6. Moore County was up 17-6 at half-time. Clarkrange will now face Goodpasture who defeated the host Smyrna 68-61 in overtime.
  7. As long as the game is not on Friday.
  8. A couple of observations. First Idiotface31, to leave Myron Carter off of an all-time Goodpasture team is a HUGE mistake. Went on to play at UT. Ask Coach Edwards or Sarver about him. McNine4MVP any Overton team of the 80's and 90's without the Jemison brothers, Bernard and Marcus is ridiculous. Led them to the state tournament. All-time McGavock team 1. Charles Davis-Vandy and 13 year professional career, 1976 2. Fred Harris---Rest In Peace, 1976 3. Ty Reed---Point guard extrordanaire, 2000, all-time leading scorer 4. 9. Go back to math class kid. Exams are coming up and you are not ready.
  10. It is hard to average 35 points a game when the last two games you scored 18 and 12.
  11. In a word, no. Why did you register a new name just to throw a misguided shot?
  12. Wrong again metrobballfan. The original official book was ejected at half-time. That means the other team's book becomes the official book. And I'm just calling it as I see it on both sides. I could care less if you agree with me.
  13. NCS03, if dunking was all you have to do to be considered "talent", then every high jumper in the country would be an All-American. No one on that team can shoot outside of five feet, sometimes not even inside it as well. I do thank you for solidifying my point that you know nothing about basketball. And by the way, there are more than 4 that can dunk. So what.
  14. NCS03, you think Hillwood has a lot of talent? You sir are the one that doesn't know much about basketball. Maybe for someone from NCS it seems like there is a lot of talent. Gomab, that is the most insightful quote I have read from you. EVERY POINT you mentioned is incredibly true. No shooters and used to running crazy out there. Good to see you at the game, however. And Jamont looked like a prima donna out there last night. He has a lot of maturing to do. Saffore has to find a work ethic before he will turn the corner.
  15. Jamont, Jamont, Jamont was nothing, nothing nothing tonight against Hillwood. Anybody who saw the game could tell you that. 2-8 for 3pt. 4-9 from the line. He looked like he dialed it in. And don't tell me it was because it was a blowout. GHS was up 10 when he came out and won by 25. He was loafing big time. His shot was WAY off. I guess when he couldn't get his usual points he just quit. His game tonight couldn't make the all-Nashville team. Straight to the NBA? What a joke. And yes I have seen him play a lot of times since the 7th grade. His effort tonight was a joke. You have to show up every night to get the attention you think he deserves. 18 points against a 1-5 Hillwood team. Yeah, I would say that has lottery written all over it. And yes his stats for tonight are correct. I was the official book. There is no doubt he can play, but you have to bring it every night. This night he didn't.
  16. Call the school 885-8850 and talk to Marlin Simms. I'm sure he can answer your questions.
  17. Purvis is my hero. Don't spend too much time in the gym, though. Your baseball building might disappear while you are away. Gotta love Wilson Co.

East Lit beating Hume-Fogg this year is no upset. And yes, Even without Smith in the paint. Hume-Fogg is down.
  19. Sanchez dropped out of Hillwood to Nashville Academy back in September. He would never have been eligible.
  20. Backcourt65, I hate to break it to ya' but Mt. Juliet has never been a state powerhouse in boys basketball. They have never been to the state tournament. Heck, they have never even won their district championship in the 70+ years of the school's existence. They do have a good team this year, however. Josh Helton is a player and Hayes and Simms are solid as well. Factor in that Tennessee High and SH are down and they probably win both games.
  21. For the last time it was NOT THE OAK HILL ACADEMY TEAM that is ranked #1. Oak Hill also has just a regular school team which came to play in the tournament. Anyone who saw them will attest that no one on that team could play for Coach Smith. Most schools would call it an intramural team, but that wouldn't sell any tickets to the tournament. Also, College Heights only has one team.
  22. They applied for membership in D2 so they cannot have fifth year players anyway. I didn't know that they ever had any in the first place. They only had nine dressed out against Goodpasture.
  23. I saw them play at Mt. Juliet and they looked horrible. I lot of wasted quickness. No shooters. They couldn't score. I had read all that hype as well, but it turned out to be just that. No substance. A team that has that much quickness and gives up 10 3's? Either they don't teach defense or just don't bother to play it.
