  1. Wow, two losses in a row to Ezell for Mt. Pleasant. I hope you go 0-10 Mt. Pleasant. You've got the most classless fans in Tennessee!!!!!! Go Eagles.
  2. Thanks for the info. Are there any point guards out there that might want to go? Rosters have to be turned in by Monday.
  3. If there are any players still wanting to play at the 19U AAU Nationals in Orlando the end of July, call Kris Frye at 931-205-4437. There is only one team from Tennessee going to the Nationals now, so if there are any players out there like Cory Pflieger, T.C. Jennings, Matthew Dotson, Jeff Barnes, Elmar Kuli-Zade or others, give Kris a call. Rosters must be turned in this week.
  4. I think that he will do very well in college. I've seen him play 4 or 5 times over the past couple of years, and he is much better than other players that I have seen go D-1. He is 6'7" - 6'8" with very good ball handling skills, the ability to go inside or out and has great hops.
  5. Congratulations to Coach O and all of the girls. Brittany really dominated tonight and the the defense was strong. With upsets of Davidson Academy, Goodpasture and a close loss to FRA, the CPA girls are rocking right now. Wayne County made a valiant comeback to tie the game with pressure defense, but CPA pulled it out. Great fan support tonight for such a long drive down the Trace. The Wayne County fans were great and we look forward to hosting them on Monday night. Hopefully we'll have two teams in the Boro this year, though it will be tough.
  6. Then what do you call the McEwen students caught kicking and Ezell Harding cheerleaders car? That's pure class! I was at the game and didn't hear anybody chant "baby". It was a hard fought game.
  7. Congrats to both teams. They are "friends" and have kept the regional final in District 9! Two very tought teams in E-Rob and McEwen, both excellent teams, fell to D-0 teams. Should be a great close game, though I hope the Lions rebound from the last game and get a home Substate game.
  8. Classy comment form the Unaka fan! Way to go ladies on a great win. We are so proud of you. It is amazing how the seniors have improved and the Frosh and Sophs have played. Keep the pressure on and let's get a home substate game.
  9. So there wasn't a R-E vs. Westside game, so is this a joke?
  10. How long did Gershom have to sit out after transferring from JPII? He is a good player, but I've never seen him in good enough shape to play a full game.
  11. If you haven't heard of him you must be living under a rock. Puckett is a very real deal, very similar to Matthew Dotson at Hickman County, though he might be better. He can play outside or inside and can jump very well. Wish he had of stayed with an SEC school so we could watch him play.
  12. As a very unbiased observer, it looks like MP is on a roll this year with an Ezell Harding type offense when Davis, Owens and J.P. were there. WC barely got past Eagleville, so I would say it will be MP 28 - WC 14
  13. Looks like Mt. Pleasant is running up scores like Ezell Harding did in 2001. I know that they have a lot of talent, and they play a big game the 22nd with Wayne County who just slipped by Eagleville this past week. That game shouldn't be a big challenge for Mt. Pleasant and they will end up a #1 seed. Also DCA and CPA play that same night, so several things will be determined at that point.
  14. It looks like two of the best games in the state will be on October 22 when DCA and CPA play and Mt. Pleasant and Wayne County play. Does the basketball player that transferred from Collinwood play football for Wayne Co. also? Davidson Academy can't be overlooked by anybody and seem to be on a roll with their new coach, and Friendship is steamrolling with only a loss to JP II. Looks like Mt. Pleasant is for real from the article in the Tennessean today.
