Probably the best hgh schooler ive seen.Dwight Boyd right behind, im talking high school only not what happens after. Dwight did play at Memphis. M.J. has alot of good high school talent around him and he takes advantage, which is what a very good ball player does. Just look at the numbers dude.

Home of the White squirrel. Class of 81 U.C. here ..Timmy White was a very good player, hope his son has his genes. Loved the old uniforms, looked exactly like Marquette.They were allowed to wear their shirt tails out and it said warriors on the bottom, soooo coool for the times.Eric King , that may not be his last name, he went to U.C. after the school shut down. He was an all stater his soph. yr. Had to sit out his jr. yr.One of the biggest mistakes ronnie carter made.Wasnt fair. He ended up at UTM.

Why do they have Union City, Humboldt playing so early in the season? Could be the best 2 teams in the state as far as 1a goes.

How good is Mithcell compared to Memphis teams? Just want to get a good read on Union City. They return 4 starters, none over 6'1, with or without 2 starters for Mitchell just need a gauge to go by. Thanks.

watch how college kids hit.. especially mississippi state...Ron Polk teaches it very well...hands inside the ball...balanced weight... transfer weight late...hips before hands...swing with bent arms (you are stronger)...short swing and big follow-thru...eyes will stay on ball if your chin begins at front shoulder and ends at the back shoulder...If you practice these type of swings you will hit most pitches...I could go on and on, but just watch Derek Jeter swing. One of the best hitting coaches in state is Phil Clark at bartlett

...and the food was great as well...watched the best two coaches in TN ...followed by a chicken wrap...great tourney Buddy!!..music was awesome as always David...look forward to Bartlett vs. Riverdale Sat. nite...again, always this is the best of the best tourneys for high school baseball!

Actually, John Ed Miller was the best ever, pre 3- pointer and even now...played at Vanderbilt and played in th 1965 regional final against Cazzie Russell and Michigan for the right to play in FINAL FOUR... Slayden was a good player and did not stick it out at Tennessee because a guard named Johnny Darden from Springfield beat him out at point guard.

Whoever survives region 7 will win the state...take my word...UC gonna get ya!! Cannot wait to see the tornadoes in Nashville for the first time since 1972. Tourney at David Lipscomb on 12-23-06. How many points are they averaging a game?

I coached Gerald in baseball when he was 9...he has been groomed for basketball his whole life as he was participating in AAU way back then... the talent across the state is down this year...so, he may be up there with the best of '07!

Middle School ball may have played in S. Fulton....However, UC played Fulton , KY Oct. 16, 1970, I was there, that is just a mile from South Fulton, funny how these things come up... that date is special in my life!!

Coach Brown graduated from Hillsboro High around 2000...graduated from Trevecca in 2005...played under Mickey Hiter in travel bal for several years... has coached travel teams the past three summers... if players respond, he will do fine. Comes from very good baseball coaching background....Congratulations to Nathan and Page High who got a real baseball coach.

Derrick Turnbow was born in Union City, graduated from Franklin High, parents divorced, I went to school with mother, Mary Sue Thompson, and played American Legion baseball with father, Tommy.

My old friend Phil Clark coaches Bartlett. My old friend Tim Liddle has a son , Steve, on the Rebel squad. I'm going to sit back and watch a great game and may the best team win!

According to TSSAA site Burke pitched 7 innings 4 hits 11 K's and 1 ER. Kole pitched for Ravenwood with 5 K's and 4 hits 0 runs. Ravenwood scored 1 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th
