It's 2015 and I need to add some schools that I have umpired in the last two years to my list...In East Tn, Silverdale Academy....Middle TN, Ezell-Harding...In West TN, Lexington & Tipton-Rosemark & St. George's...

What is their schedule for the Poplar Bluff tourney next week?

Stockton Adkins...played 4 years at Tennessee..was a blocking back for Johnny Majors in the single wing in 1956...

Pirtle and Jernigan will wear him out....he will be sucking air by halftime!....Givens should have warned him as they stood on the stage today..LOL

96.5 is an all sports talk located in Lexington..I really doubt they will talk about this game though...its an ESPN station..every now and then they will talk high school football, but there guests are from Jackson and have little knowledge of Union City....

The most anticipated game in a long time!!....tonight's forecast is 41 and clear with a slight breeze out of the south...great football weather...I attended last year's game and remember how cold it was....love to see a blowout, but feel this one will be a tight one...will the stands be full?...they oughta be as this team from Union City is very very good!...If they get by this game and it won't be easy, they should be remembered as one of the best teams ever in West Tennessee!...hope to see a complete game from Union City and enjoy myself with some old friends at the game of the year!

Rossview and Arlington came to Dyer County last Saturday...it was great to see some AAA baseball again!!

This Championship was 3 years in the making....the defeat in the semi's 2 years ago, the defeat in the Championship last year, & well this undefeated team this year...WORK, WORk, & lots of WORK went into this team...the schedule this year was as hard as any A team in the state, the draw for sub-state, as Middleton was upset by Jackson Christian, and then in the bracket with 3 other 30 game winners, & to face Jackson Co. for the 3rd straight year in the championship game....the first half was tense & shots did not fall for the Purple & Gold, they only seemed to fall for the best player on the court JC Cole, however, Eddie Suiter changed defenses...& the game changed with a technical foul which resulted in 4 points for the Lady Demons, however, fate was with the Lady Tornadoes as Jackie Hudson & Amber Fair were not going to lose!..the last 3 minutes were all UC...GREAT GAME, GREAT SEASON, GREAT CHAMPIONSHIP!!

technical changed the game as the refs did start to call some ticky tack fouls on JC as they had been calling on UC the whole game...Great defense by UC in the 2nd half..& they just kept pounding the boards...Jackie Hudson played a whale of a game!!

Clarkrange could only meet Houston Co. in the semi-final...Look at the schedules of each of these teams...Union City's was very tough...2 wins over Westview (AA State Tourney), Defeated Livingston Co. ( AA State Tourney) on neutral court, Livingston split with both Clarkrange & Jackson Co....

All the teams with over 30 wins are in this side of the bracket, I believe UC will handle Houston Co., and Clarkrange will defeat Meigs Co....These teams are all very good & any could win the state title!!..Exciting week!

Union City 34 - 32 over Middleton in a barn burner!!

What is UC shedule next year?...like to see they play Mayfield KY at UC..and Adamsville or maybe TCA...

It all has to do with academics...OC is much easier school when it comes to grades

Union City's schedule was the toughest it has been in a long time....Huntingdon, Dresden, & Trenton Peabody on the road....Humboldt 2 times...They are battle tested and won't back down from their next challenge...I have seen every football game over the years that UC has played in Middle Tennessee..Not to take anything away from NCS, but I do not see a White House or a Portland brand of football there from the 1990's...We will travel well, (probably more fans on the road than at home last week), that is sad, but the truth! Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, I am smoking a Turkey breast, have a safe trip up I-40..and lets pray no one is injured and we survive another round of football...I see Cookeville in our future!!

Typical Jackson Sun article whenever UC is involved...I thought the spread formation on the last drive was the difference..easier to pass, we did not complete a pass, however they had to play more honest & respect the deep threat, this opened up the middle just enough for us to keep running the same option plays and we scored!
