  1. They still aren't getting the athletes, Tyner and Ooltewah will not share the love.. and the one good coach they have had in decades had some issues and things didnt work out..
  2. are you trying to make a point because i wasnt.. just giving the other side of the story..
  3. Cleveland's sophomore Monte Scotton had 5 carries for 158 yards on Friday..
  4. would that be low as in high, or low as in low? Red Bank has started slowly on offense, but tend to do real well on defense and with all they had coming back from last years region champ squad they would obviously be in the mix of the best teams, at the same time they have yet to have their breakout game this year, although they did look pretty good against the trojans.. It would be hard to dispute them being one of the best teams in this area this year regardless..
  5. and zero through the air to one of the best teams in tennessee, as far as rhea playing close, 28-6 aint bad against a team as talented as ooltewah... rhea will be one of the better teams in the area this year.. this was their frst game and the owls second.. not to mention it was at the nest..
  6. 1. 1. McCallie (1-0)- what a game, they are the most sound team, with a great leader.. 2. 2. Ooltewah (2-0)- little slow on offense, but as soon as Marshall and Woods pick things up, they are talented, maybe toughest team to beat, big matchup next week with #6.. 3. 4. Red Bank (2-0)- they know how to win, if they can get in a groove on offense, watchout.. 4. 5. Cleveland (1-0)-lots of young talent running through the offense.. 5. 7. Tyner (1-0)- not sure they have it all figured out but they are hecka quick everywhere, and the Craddock bloodline is still kicking.. 6. 10. McMinn (1-0)- resurgence in Athens? 7. UR Hixson- if they find some consistancy, they could fight for the top of the best region in this area with Hardy at the helm.. 7. tie 6. Rhea (0-1)- always tough to beat, played the Owls tough.. 8. 3. Baylor (2-0)- not very impressive overall, but they sure so pound the rock, getting the wins but not yet against anybody.. 9. UR S. Pitt (2-0)- little suprised to see them struggle against Boyd, Robinson will carry them a ways though.. 10. UR Howard (1-0)- should take Nooga 3A..
  7. and your club pass is still honored, not that I would feel sorry for you if it wasn't.. if you can afford to go to MCcallie..
  8. ppp this might be the saddest thing I have ever seen on the internet.. just sad..
  9. yall all need to just pay 10 bucks a month like the rest of us and get on volquest.. btw.. the state goes like this.. http://www.chicagosports.Unapproved Website/viewrank.asp?ra_key=1544 1. Chris Donald 2. Golden Tate 3. Rae Sykes 4. Harrison Smith 5. Chris Walker
  10. So you think Cleveland would get beat by more this year than last year even though Cleveland is vastly better this year than last? Not that it matters, because they wont be playing anytime soon. Just dont get that logic..
  11. Red Bank returns Caldwell and that is all I would be concerned about.. He is very good.. AE better be ready because Red Bank is a much better team than played in the first week of last year..
  12. He will.. and the atmosphere at Cleveland is much less gangster now, much easier to see the path to college than it was in the Benny Monroe era..
  13. 1. McCallie 2. Ooltewah 3. Baylor 4. Red Bank 5. Cleveland 6. Rhea 7. Tyner 8. Soddy Daisy 9. Notre Dame 10. McMinn
  14. Cleveland will be much improved this year on offense, they return a whole lot and add the second coming of Dante hickey in Monte Scotton and 6'4" reciever Dominique Macon should be a loaded offense, however the defense is a question mark, one thing should be for sure, defense or no defense.. should be some barn burners on the way.. I have heard good things about Central, however this means they might get back to .500.
  15. Anybody remember Dante Hickey? Well Monte Scotton may just be better.. he is also just a sophomore at Cleveland.. watchout.
  16. although its not a big deal, and some will say the national top 25 polls for high school football are not possibly accurate, i just think that its tragic that maryville is never in the top 25. i know they arent in the largest class, but i have personally seen somw maryville teams that could wax many of the riverdale teams that have been ranked. maryville has almost always been the undisputed best team in 4a or the state, (5 of and probably about to be 6 of the last 7 and 8 years). they have also sent many players on to play at the college level including d-1. i just think that this shows how far off base those national polls really are. if riverdale is in the top 25 than maryville should usually also be in the top 25. somebody who knows, what is maryvilles record since 1998?
  17. Ooltewah is the best team in the area, they have lost a few key starters though. that is why they are not undefeated. mccallie and red bank as well as baylor are decent on a statewide level, ooltewah when healthy is the only real threat. notre dame for their class should do well in the playoffs, had they been in 4-4a or 2-5a they would have won maybe 3 or 4, maybe 5 games this year. thats about it.
  18. steve who r u trying to kid? chattanooga is not having one of its better seasons. you must just be out of the loop or something. tyner lost their minds against Brainerd. Mccallie lost to one of K-town's average teams (Powell) and to 2A's best team Alcoa, who got drilled by maryville. and Boyd, they are well coached but are not as loaded as usual. As good as Red Bank has been this year they are maybe a top ten 4A team.
  19. i would expect a good game, obviously red bank looks more impressive this season, seeing as how they have only lost one game and they were not blown out. they also beat brainerd by 56, whereas cleveland beat brainerd by 4. i think cleveland has improved with those two blowouts. red bank has has played solid against SD and AE going one and one, whereas cleveland got blownout by its 2 challenges thusfar. i see this being a good game, but cleveland will have to contain caldwell and the offensive line will have to play really well for them to have a chance.
  20. 5A Ooltewah should win first 2 rounds, maybe 3rd, if they win 3rd will make state and lose. Soddy should lose in first round as a 4 seed, thats if they make the playoffs. 4A Red Bank should win in first round in a close one as 2 seed, then lose in 2nd. Cleveland should lose in first round as 3 seed. Brainerd Hixson or Rhea County should will lose in 1st round as 4 seed. 3A Notre Dame or Polk should will win in first round and atleast 1 will win in second round maybe both, one regardless will get to third round, and probably lose. East Ridge will get past first round in a tight one, and lose in second round. Howard or Mcminn Central will lose handily in first round. 2A Tyner will win in first round, and win a close one in the second, then lose in the third. Boyd will win in the first round, and lose in the second. Sequatchie and Marion will lose in the first round. 1A S.Pitt will win in first and second rounds and lose in third. Whitwell will win in a close one in the first and lose in the second. Lookout Valley and GPA will lose in first round. 5A-Ooltewah, 4A-Red Bank, 3A-Notre Dame and Polk County, 2A-Tyner, and 1A-South Pittsburg are the only teams in their respective classes that will have a shot at the third round this year. Most of them if not all of them will not win in the third round. McCallie and Baylor will probably one or the other make the semi's, but not the finals.
  21. cleveland is young, they do have lots of talent in middle school coming up. they only have about 4 or 5 real good players on varsity and the rest are average at best with youth to consider. i think cleveland began to get hyped up after beating three teams who have a combined 3-12 record. nonetheless, for a team as young as cleveland, a win is something to build on. the chattanooga area is not very good this year so cleveland should win most of the rest of their games. a 7-3 season would be a good year for cleveland. red bank looks to be the toughest game left on this schedule. hixson should be a challenge, rhea on the road always disturbs cleveland, and walker valley shouldnt be that tough, they are much younger. anyway knoxville (knox central, maryville, alcoa, powell, WB, AE, etc.) and nashville or cumberland area teams are stacked this year so they are typically wearing out chattanooga area teams.
  22. i dont see cleveland winning this one, but they are a little better suited against the pass. bcrising is right about cleveland being weak up the middle, but beyond the dl they do well.
