i would say that polk could play most teams in this area pretty well, maybe not win, but they would hold their own. i could see them beat rhea or even hixson.

take 111 out of sparta to spencer take 30 in to dayton... take 60 from dayton, 60 is georgetown rd in cleveland, you'll turn left at paul huff pkwy, keep going, you'll go under the interstate and turn left at peerless which is the second light past the underpass. you'll take peerless about a mile, go left at the first stoplight, which is raider dr. you should be able to figure it out from there.

cleveland should be headed back to state status soon, they have some serious talent at the ms level and a talented bunch of underclassmen now. coach wilson will be able to foster some serious teams finally after 8 years of mediocre football with brown.

polk will represent the chattanooga region in 3a playoffs this year. by at least a few touchdowns.

Brainerd- 1-2 others: Boyd, Meigs, McMinn Central the only reason Brainerd is not ahead of Tyner is because they have to be consistant, they may have some of the best athletes, but they have to learn to win. they are obviously the most improved team week to week so far this season. i still believe tyner could beat all of the teams its ahead of.

even if it was close, which i dont think it will be (i kinda like the 38-20 prediction), brainerd wont win, because they couldn't make a PAT or field goal for that matter. if brainerd was fundamentally sound, they would win some games, because they do have athletes. brainerd is somewhat better than usual, but thats not saying much.

i will give central credit, that maryville game was much much closer than the score indicates, they played real well...on that note that was one of only two maryville teams not to make it to the state championship in the last 7 years. however, i dont understand how this thread goes from tonights game all the way to dodds av. keep these threads on the current season. central fans, you must have some heart because i couldnt see how someone could even care to be on coacht when there team will struggle to win 3 games. just let ooltewah say what they want, it may be trash, but its pretty accurate trash.

they've lost to a talented red bank team, and a resurgent William Blount team that would an easy top 5 in this area this year. the chattanooga area is very young right now and is not very deep. i have red bank and cleveland as the number 5 and 6 best teams, but they may not be in the top 10 or 15 in the state in 4a. soddy is 5a and could take any of the teams listed below them.

tony i noticed you started this post saying mcminn by 14, then by 10, which is it? also i think you underestimate bradley, not that they are good, but they are tough, they have some big boys and they are also young. you act like mcminn is a powerhouse, and you re not, at best you re in the ranks with bradley. its also funny how you guys try to say you played well against ooltewah because i remember it... the scoreboard sure didnt seem to think so. 27 im not even going to try and understand your post.

there are only about 3 games left this year for ooltewah that should even be asked about (WB, OR, Soddy). obviously this is not one of them. ooltewah by 45 or more.

there is no way for mcminn to hold ooltewah, ooltewah stops the onslaught after 2 and a half quarters trying not to go over 50 they fail. ooltewah 52-14.

bradley will be pretty good this year if they get some redzone offense, yall might have one of the best teams in the state that cant score, bc is also very one dimensional. running up the gut everytime will work well against most average teams, but without something to mix it up bc will not contend this year. honestly if the bears can find a way to execute in the redzone this year, i could easily see them win against mcminn, heritage, and walker valley. if they are lucky they could possibly hang with wb on the road, and soddy at home. all speculation .

just some notes on these three teams: Cleveland- i think they are very young defensively, but will do well this year overall. if cleveland wants to be a factor this year in the playoffs, they will have to pass the ball. they looked fierce when they did pass the ball the other night; it spread the field and allowed their talented backfield to get some looks. without the pass this year, i dont think cleveland will physically be able to line up against teams and run it up their throats. Bradley- i dont know if it was the same against warren county, but they are very good at running the ball up your throat; however i think the rest of their practices for the rest of the year should be completely on red zone offense. also they may try to add a couple of pass plays in there somewhere too. and its too bad they couldnt get a win these first two weeks, cuz oak ridge is gonna be 10 times more demoralizing than these first two losses. Ooltewah- they are a lot like the vols this season, they are ranked high and have a lot of talent, yet everyone bets against them when money is on the line. i was listening to sportstalk the other day, and the guy was saying "you can put it in the book, rhea county will upset ooltewah", he said "they (ooltewah) are a good team, but pretty much that they werent great" he agreed with a couple other guys though that ooltewah would get better as the season went along. my guess is he expected ooltewah to blowout cookeville, not knowing cookeville was a legitimate team, when they didnt, his uneducated thoughts were simply "ooltewah is overrated". i expect ooltewah to go as far as they want this year if they continue to gel well, however it wont be easy with teams like oak ridge, db, and riverdale to go through.

if only every school kid in tennessee thought i was a guru....gosh that we be amazing. i never said meigs didnt play a 3a or 4a, and say what you want about enrollment but 3a is 3a and 4a is 4a.BSrising exactly how did you correct me? if bradley or any team is going to have their way with cleveland this year, cleveland is going thru its worst 3 or 4 years since the mid 70's so that wouldnt be much to talk about.

cargo i hope you werent refering to me when talking about scrimmages meaning nothing, because that wouldnt be accurate in representing what i typed. i mentioned how they dont mean much, and they dont. dragon as far as 3a having any good teams, check for yourself. just take a look at last years (or any 3a teams since the five class system began) schedule for those teams. look at how many they have won and lost and then look at the records of those they played, few have a 500 or better record, and a lot of their opponents are 2a or 1a. that will help you figure out what i mean. meigs hasnt even played a down of 3a yet. the teams that were are sequoyah nuclear power, mcminn central, howard, and walker valley. walker valley was the only decent team and they won the region. polk county was 2a and has always been competing in their region, but always falling short to the only good team in that region tyner. also i would hate to see a team that wouldnt have murdered bradley in 3 or 4 years considering they havent won in 2.

3A is always loaded with the worst teams in this area, east ridge is horrible this year, they will fit right in and probably win the region. heck i know very little about knox catholic, but i know they are no powerhouse. im not saying bradley wont be improved, but they arent 21 better than cleveland or better for that matter. scrimmages mean nothing... much. and i would like to see bradleybears2004 5 wins this year.
