  1. I would have to say that I have seen every substate basketball game in FC's history and the athletes that played during those time periods. Secondly, I would have to agree with your assessment of the success of the program when all the best student/athletes play. There are two kids, sophomores, that would have helped tremendously this season, but they aren't playing for different reasons. I would even guess that their impact would have been about a 4-5 game swing in the win/loss column because they are guards. Both have said that they will play next year. I would venture to say that next years team will be one that will make some noise. It is just a shame that our last year in division 1 was a rebuilding year.
  2. You just proved my point about your recruiting exploits, then you go on a ridiculous tyrade about me being ignorant. Thank you for showing your blindness to the facts that JC recruits and keep spewing your on lies about FC cheating. I am finished here because DF has proven me right and didn't even realize it. Who is ignorant? Oh, try to stop all the "creeping," it is kind of getting weird.
  3. Keep sticking to that lie DF if you want. Everyone knows the facts. Just a few years back a tall/athletic girl from RBS made her way to JC. Worked out pretty good for both parties I guess. With regards to FC recruiting, you misunderstand the statement. By definition every private schools recruits through advertisement through commercials, billboards, open house (at the school), and brochures. That does not mean the type of recruiting that you are referencing is taking place or FC is engaged in the type of recruiting JC girls program has participated in throughout the years.
  4. DF is the ultimate hypocrite. He claims FC cheats, with no proof, therefore, our multiple gold trophies are tainted. But, JC's girls basketball program has a long history of athletic girls magically moving to scenic Gainesboro. Why, because they can't win with home grown talent as he calls it. But, in the "creepers" mind it is legit because JC is his team. If FC wins it is because we cheat and if we lose we didn't cheat good enough. He has some serious envy issues.
  5. You are one scary "creeper!" I would hate to think that one of the great joys of my life is hoping a group of kids lose a ball game.
  6. A success that you have absolutely nothing to do with other than question the coaches and the toughness of the kids that put on the Yellow Jacket uniforms. Actually, those kids deserve better than a fan like yourself.
  7. No, it is my understanding that the top 3 in each district get in. That is why the 6 and 4 split is not very popular among some of the coaches.
  8. From my understanding, the regions have been matched up East/Middle District 1 v. West District 2 and East/Middle District 2 v. West District 1. I for one really like this format because the 2nd and 3rd place teams won't have to go through the 1st place team from their district. This is a big complaint of many teams in Division 1. For example, Friendship and Trousdale Co. would always have to go through each other just to get to the semifinals. This will prevent a District, which might have the 2 best teams in the state, from knocking each other off before the championship game. If USJ and St. George's are the 2 best teams, then they will meet in Cookeville.
  9. I have no idea why it is not divided 5 and 5. Either Ezell or DCA should be in East/Middle District 2, but it will be how it is for at least the next 2 years.
  10. The East/Middle districts have changed due to FC, BGA, and King's Academy coming in and other teams changed districts. East/Middle District 1 has DCA, Ezell-Harding, Friendship, King's Academy, MJCA, and Webb. East/Middle District 2 has BGA, Davidson, FRA, and Zion. Does anyone know if the West Districts are staying the same or have they changed too?
  11. You are right. Sweeney hated Petrino (he figured him out before most) and transferred to Tech and was an all OVC quarterback. Alsup decided he didn't want to play anymore, but still signed with the midshipmen. Your statement seems petty, but maybe I am reading into that. I would understand why though.
  12. Lee Sweeney (Louisville), Bryant Alsup (Navy), and soon to be A.J. Long. You don't have to wait any longer because D1 does recruit 2A. Well, at least at FC they do.
  13. You said you weren't going to spend anymore time on this thread. I bet you keep coming back too even when you were left speechless.
  14. The kids are the only thing that I am concerned with, therefore, FC is doing its job. You continue to bash the leaders, but already stated that everything you know is hear say. That tells me that you are going to believe what you want to believe. Best of luck to Lebanon on a good hire.
  15. Most people have no clue how FC students demonstrate Christ-like activity. For example, many of our high school kids finished exams Wednesday and then hopped on a bus and went to Hancock County for 3 days to make many kids Christmas special. I am sure you didn't know or want to know that because FC is nothing but hypocrites. This is one example of service that FC takes part in. The Wilson County school food pantry has been filled by FC students many times during the holidays. How is that for being a light? FC does not take part in these projects so you or those that hate FC can witness our light, but it is what Christ would do. I have heard dozens of times from new parents that they had always heard of accusations about FC, but come to find they were simply false. Maybe you have heard these same things. There are people out there in this community that despise FC for no other reason than we are good at athletics and they believe we are getting "their" athletes. I know it is completely ridiculous, but true.
  16. So you dislike FC over one or two people and over hearsay accusations? There are good people and bad everywhere. I think your opinion has been formed mainly because of FC's success on the playing field.
  17. So you're saying that you don't like Friendship or anyone associated with Friendship?
  18. I would think that it would be hard for an administrator to simply get rid of a coach like Coach Martin. There has to be some other guys behind the scene pulling strings. Once again, if there had already been a verbal agreement made with another coach, then shame on Goodpasture and I would think real hard if I was the incoming coach. Don't think for one minute they won't do it to you too.
  19. I would hope that there was not an agreement with another coach to take over at Goodpasture before Coach Martin was notified he was no longer wanted. Kind of like the Tuberville/Petrino drama with Auburn.
  20. Coach Reynolds text Coach McNeal, the day before the championship game, and informed him that Boyd would have to play a team closer to Chattanooga, per his AD advising him. I can't say as to why FC was chosen to be let go when FRA was added to the schedule after FC, but good luck on the upcoming year Bucs. I really wish we could have continued to play because it could have turned into a great rivalry.
  21. Don't give up on this team too early. Coach Cleve does a great job and remember they have not even been practicing a week yet. The team will be fine and Coach will get the most out of them.
  22. I would sure hope that after 3 years of being gone that when the Commanders and Purple Tigers play it is just that and not FC v. Bradshaw. In my personal opinion Watertown deserves more respect than that.
  23. Adamsville is the State Runner-Up and the second best team in the state of Tennessee in 2A. It is how the playoffs are set up and to degrade their accomplishments is ridiculous. FC has been beat in the Quarterfinals many years to either TC or Boyd, but that didn't make us the 2nd best team. Let's give credit where it is due and the Cardinals deserve the credit!
  24. Please keep Coach McNeal in your prayers after the sad news of losing his mother last night. His mother has been ill, but was conscience for the state championship game on Saturday, which she was very proud of her son and his team. Needless-to-say, Coach was very close to his mother and is in a great deal of mourning at the current time.
  25. Adamsville will be a force for years to come. They have support from the community, good men coaching the boys, and fine athletes to work with. That makes for a successful program. I was very impressed with Adamsville this past Saturday and wish you guys the best in the future!
