  1. The Oak Ridge and Karns games have been spirited for many years and last season's Region game threw more fuel on the fire. As for the OR student who was involved with the Karns player after the game, he is banned from any remaining home games. Next week round 2 will take place at Karns. It should be fun. I'm not sure where the lack of depth comment came from but I would have to respectively disagree. The Wildcats are deep at the post position and solid at the guard position. The point position might be what they are referring to but that is working itself out with the injured Pryce Davis's return recently.
  2. Please come to our show at the Pizza Inn on Wednesday at 7:00. Or tune in on our YouTube Channel -Prepradio. Coach Rang will discuss the entire situation including Friday.
  3. Do people actually believe some of the things they put on here or is it just to get a reaction? This is crazy stuff.
  4. With a heavy heart, diehard Oak Ridge Wildcat Cat fan, Steve Palmer, known on here as Willie the Wildcat passed away yesterday. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.
  5. He’ll be there tonight but you won’t get the answers to those questions but I’m sure he’d love to hear your opinions on the subject. I directed at least 8 people on Saturday to him. For anybody who knows him, he’s very approachable and I’m sure he’d love to speak to you. Tell him Little brother sent you.
  6. Ah I know I look old for my age but can’t I be Gaddis’s younger brother? He’s 12 years older than me. I’ve never considered myself to be a media guy but thank you for listening. One of the differences between what I do and what keyboard people such as yourself do is I am willing to sign my name to my thoughts and opinions. Same with live radio. It’s out there for all to hear. What’s your name by the way and how do you know things ?
  7. That is the farthest thing from the truth and your sources are incredibly wrong or just starting to stir things up. The job officially closes Sunday. There are between 40 and 50 applicants for the job from all over Tennessee and the country. They will begin the process next week. Coach Gaddis has no intentions of being the coach and he loves what he’s doing now. Feel free to call or visit him. His door is always open. David Clary
  8. I am going to interview Coach Cummings at 7:00 on the Basketball Show. Below is the link if you care to watch. https://boxcast.tv/view/off-the-glass-with-paige-taylor-and-aaron-green-765708
  9. Tonight at 7:00 I am interviewing Coach Cummings on the Basketball Show. If there is anybody interested in what has to say, Below is the link. If you want me to ask him anything in particular, I will. David https://boxcast.tv/view/off-the-glass-with-paige-taylor-and-aaron-green-765708
  10. Coach Gaddis and I are going to do one more show tonight. Beginning at 7:00. The link is below. https://boxcast.tv/view/coaches-corner-with-joe-gaddis-973185
  11. Sweet Science is correct. Injuries too. The Senior Class across the board in all sports isn't as stacked as previous years either. It's an oddity in my opinion.
  12. A new era is about to begin and I know the new staff will embrace the tradition here. The Administration is already working hard to assure that Oak Ridge remains a factor every year. I personally will miss working with Coach Gaddis as the head coach. Coach Gaddis loves Oak Ridge football more than just about anybody I have ever known including former players. I am so happy to see so much respect being paid to him all over social media. You can question any coach on their coaching but you can never question this man's love for Oak Ridge. As Principal Garfield Adams said, he's a legend.
  13. Thank you all for watching the show. I have done that show or one similar with five different Oak Ridge coaches over the years and last night was not an excuses show but a true reality show. Coach made no excuses for the season, he took full responsibility. I brought up the reality of the shortcomings of this team. I never blame our kids because they are just that, kids. This team gave their all but honestly they were not as loaded with as much talent as you would believe by reading this. Great kids, big hearts but not the most talented group. Mainly because of a lack of experience in important areas and depth. Next year you will see this same group minus our ten seniors, yes just ten seniors, play much better than this season. Write it down. I feel for the ten that are leaving us. I just have to remind people that just last season we were in the State Championship Game. Better days are ahead. David Clary
  14. I have asked the AD in Greeneville this question and he has indicated that they do not allow live streaming of their games. So just radio coverage on FM 92.7 or Prepradio.com.
  15. He's usually pretty good about telling it like it is. I don't usually ask tough questions but I thought it needed to be done. If any of you all want me to ask him something going forward, please let me know.
  16. No, he has moved but there are other issues involving his eligibility. The only reason I spoke up was that it is his personal family business and it should be dropped. I'm never about parading a kid on social media about things not in his control. Hopefully for him, he will be back on the field when he is able.
  17. Oak Ridge has always crossed their T's and dotted their I's when it came to TSSAA rules. The young man you are referring to isn't eligible yet and the reasons are personal to him and his family and not involving any improprieties by Oak Ridge. Hopefully we will see him playing at some point.
  18. I have spoken to Coach Gaddis many times on this subject since the rumor of these young men coming to Oak Ridge began. He has told me that he (Coach Hundley) isn't on the staff now and wasn't on the staff in the spring. I have been asked this several times today and was told that I was a source. He is not on the staff. There is a rule the TSSAA has that a person that joins a staff from another school and players follow him, those kids would have to sit out a year. This happened several years ago when OR had several kids from a Knoxville school interested in playing basketball for us. They couldn't because OR hired an assistant coach from their school. They didn't come. The West kids couldn't play if he joined the staff. His kids could but not any others. Either way, he isn't on the staff and hasn't been. David Clary
  19. Not yet, but there are four or five coming. Several of our top players this season are great students and have elected to go to great schools and pass up playing sports. Cole is a super student but loves playing the game. He's such a great kid. I already miss him but wish him well. Thank you by the way for watching the show last night.
  20. There isn't a JV game on Saturday and the Girls begin at 4:00 and the guys will play at 5:30.
  21. Oak Ridge and Austin-East have had a very limited series dating back to 1974. They haven't played since 2002. AE leads the series 6-5. The last time they played Oak Ridge won 63-58.
