  1. At the end of 3 Riverdale 20 Smyrna 7
  2. Sounds like the Riverdale - Smyrna game.
  3. Riverdale 20 - Smyrna 7 at the half. Riverdale is looking mighty strong. They are on tv chanel Css. I don't think they're looking ahead to Lincoln Co.
  4. I'm glad to hear that Riverdale has never lost at home cause sooner or later it will happen. It may not be this year but you mark my words it will happen. The law of averages will catch up with them one day. Does their field have a track around it?
  5. Quote "its just that most stadiums have a track around their field as we do " The PITT does not have a track around it and it makes a big difference. That is why it is the PITT and I am thankful for that. I hate to go to a football game with a track around it. It put's you so far away from the action. Plus it takes away a lot of Home Field advantage.
  6. All I know is Lincoln Co. has never beaten Blackman. It may or may not happen Friday night but it will happen and Lincoln Co will eventually even the record and get ahead. Falcon Football is alive and well in Lincoln Co. Long live Falcon Football!!
  7. This is a different LC team than the last 2 years. They seem to have a different attitude and focus. The next 2 games will let us know if they are for real or not. The season is young.
  8. Congradulations to Phillip Petitt on a second place finish at the Tennessee State Amature. Phillip was 5 or 6 shots back on the final day, shoots a 30 on the back nine. Danny Green, a 3 time winner, had to sink a 18 footer on the last hole to win. Casey Whittenburg finished alone in 3rd place.

  13. I don't know of anybody that has a better on campus field than Lincoln County.
  14. Golfer's prayer IN MY HAND I HOLD A BALL, WHITE AND DIMPLED, RATHER SMALL. OH, HOW BLAND IT DOES APPEAR, THIS HARMLESS LOOKING LITTLE SPHERE. BY IT'S SIZE I COULD NOT GUESS, THE AWESOME STRENGTH IT DOES POSSESS. BUT SINCE I FELL BENEATH ITS SPELL, I'VE WANDERED THROUGH THE FIRES OF heck. MY LIFE HAS NOT BEEN QUITE THE SAME, SINCE I CHOSE TO PLAY THIS STUPID GAME. IT RULES MY MIND FOR HOURS ON END, A FORTUNE IT HAS MADE ME SPEND. IT MAKES ME YELL AND CURSE AND CRY, I HATE MYSELF AND WANT TO DIE. IT PROMISES A THING CALLED PAR, IF I CAN HIT IT STRAIGHT AND FAR. TO MASTER SUCH A TINY BALL, SHOULD NOT BE VERY HARD AT ALL. BUT MY DESIRES THE BALL REFUSES, AND DOES EXACTLY AS IT CHOOSES. IT HOOKS AND SLICES, DRIBBLES AND DIES, AND EVEN DISAPPEARS BEFORE MY EYES. OFTEN IT WILL HAVE A WHIM, TO HIT A TREE OR TAKE A SWIM. WITH MILES OF GRASS ON WHICH TO LAND, IT FINDS A TINY PATCH OF SAND. THEN HAS ME OFFERING UP MY SOUL, IF ONLY IT WOULD FIND THE HOLE. IT'S MADE ME WHIMPER LIKE A PUP, AND SWEAR THAT I WILL GIVE IT UP. I'VE TAKEN TO DRINK TO EASE MY SORROW, BUT THE BALL KNOWS . I'LL BE BACK TOMORROW
  15. I have followed Jr golf all over the Southeast for the last several years. Phillip is a class act and a great player.

  19. I don't think you'll find many people that would agree that 8 and 5 is a good year for UT. It might be a good year for any other team in the state but not for UTK!
  20. Boy, I knew I would ruffle feathers in this thread! Don't get me wrong I don't hate UT. I don't have all the facts on Fulmer, but I'm not blind. If you look at the recruits at UGA you'll see well over 90% of the players are from the state of Georgia. Alabama recruits mostly Alabama players. UTK has a history of recruiting more players from out of state than in state and UT is always in somebody's top 10 recruting class. 25% is a little low. To me it's a slap in the face to TN high school football. I've seen a lot of good high school teams in TN and players don't get consideration from UTK but I don't have the facts. I'm like Schultz, "I KNOW NOTHING!" Fulmer should not forget where his roots are and give a kid from in state a chance. I think they could do just as well as some kid from California or New Jersey or some other place miles from their home. It would make it a whole lot easier to cheer for them.
  21. It is just disheartening to see a UTK rooster and maybe 25% of their players are from the state of Tennessee when other schools have done better with in state or at least regional boys. Fulmer evidently is a great recruiter but his coaching skills are lacking. Yes he has one of the best records in the nation but he has at least 5 or 6 sure wins on his schedule every year. He has a national championship under his XXXL belt, but how many more could he have had or at least opportunity. In 01 all he had to do was beat LSU in the SEC championship but his players were out played and he was out coached. He lost control of his team, which he has recruited. Clausen is a joke when it comes to leadership. Keep those California boys out west and these southern boys will play harder. The Duck Butter Bandit
  22. As was evident this past season, UT dosen't have enough players that play with heart and pride.
  23. I see UT signed 5 players from the state out of 19. Is there a problem with high school football in Tennessee? It looks to me that UT lets all the good football players go to Alabama and Auburn. They haven't learned their lesson yet.
  24. Try sjgt.com which is the Southeasten Junior Golf Tour. It has tournaments in TN and around the Southeast. It is very competitive and semi expensive, $100+ per tournament plus over $100 to join the tour. There is good exposier and is run first class. Another tour is the United States Junior Golf Tour. They are still trying to get on their feet so they don't have the strength of field that the SJGT has but there have been some very good players participate on that tour. I would recomend the Vince Gill PGA JR tour to anybody. It's the best deal going for one day tournaments. Low cost to play some very nice courses all over TN.
