  1. Brumley Greene is still a coaching legend. He is at Greeneville now. He still uses the tactic of putting players in the Well.
  2. Morristown West finished sixth in the state last year and will return 8-of-9 starters. The downfall to that is they lost three college pitchers (Hite-Carson Newman, McClellan - Hiwassee, and Dougherty - Old Dominion). The bright side is the returnees of all-state first baseman Matt Spencer (the only all-state sophomore last year) All-Northeast Tn studs - Matt Noe, Lance Wild, and Matt Martin. They have three other all-conference players. They set a school record for wins last year in AAA, but they could easily surpass that this year. Pitching is deep (Isom, Campbell, Southerland, Wild, Spencer, Noe). VERY STRONG TEAM. They are coached by Bobby Haun, Chuck Stansberry, and Chris Ayers. Will they beat East? Yes. Can East beat West. Yes. Both teams are real strong because of East's pitching. But, I would put the bucks on West.
  3. Morristown West 9, South Greene 4
  4. Yeah, I heard that Travis Rogers of Tennessee Tech could not spell his name on the application, so he was not granted an interview.
  5. Morristown West. Voted top field in the state 2001.
  6. Notice the input of "off the bench". Poor McMinn County
  7. Trajan. I guess we do not meet eye-to-eye. So, I'll drop it with you. Peace.
  8. Pats... I would compare Chevez McCray's stats to James Littleman Stewart's any day of the week at West. I watched both play. Even though McCray was usually out of the game by the fourth quarter (due to West's huge lead) he still put up gigantic stats. Chevez was as good as Littleman in high school. No DOUBT.
  9. Dear Trajan, Go back to kiddie land and hit up them legos. Peace
  10. I wish it was Randy Sanders...a Morristown East alumn. KB could call the plays from the press box better than Randy.
  11. flyin pro. You are an idiot. Get off this board. Bring some knowledge and facts to back it up, little boy.
  12. Most mock drafts don't even have him in the first round. Holla.
  13. Why isn't Farrar coming to Jeff County? It was in the News Sentinal.
  14. It's all good in the hood. I used to be Chevez's baby's momma.
  15. Trajan. The reason McCray did not end up at UT was because of neither Don, Sparky, or Phil. He was suspended before his senior season because of drugs. He would have been a three-time all-state back.
  16. I also heard that Jeff was getting the N.J. QB transfer.
  17. How would the 9-10th/11th-12th grade split effect sports?
  18. Trajan. Are you a small child? To say McCray was not looked as a recruit at UT is ludicrious. The Sparky/Fulmer connection is friendship. Fulmer is friends with Sparky. Sparky is the brother of Don. McCray is the running back for Don. Sparky, Don, Phil= Friends. Don says "Hey Phil, I have a two-time all-state running back named Chevez. "He's the best I've ever coached"... Phil replies 'Hey, we can all be friends" But, Trajan jumps in and says "Hey, Phil, you are not interested...the sports writers declared him a two-time all-state running back.. please don't recruit him at UT..what do sports writers know" Trajan, if it wasn't for sports writers, high school, college, and NFL would be just backyard games. Get a clue. You have to be the worst message board writer. So, I guess Carl Stewart is awful because the sports writers voted him all-state. Get a clue, buddy, before you write on this board.
  19. Combining East and West; the school would be as big as Cleveland.
  20. The last time East and West combined in high school one thing resulted: 1969 State Football Champions. It simply wouldn't be fair to everyone else in Tennessee. It would be total domination. No arguement needed.
  21. This post is getting old. Let it be settled on the Field. Cleveland, West, Maryville. Let the games begin.... in six or so months. Drop it. It will be decided on the field.
  22. Nobody can beat WEST except for Maryville. NOBODY. Nobody has, nobody will. West may come from a weak region, but it don't matter. BECAUSE... Cleveland hasn't beaten them and no one else. Oh yeah, dude said West hasn't beat Maryville, check again... They were the last team to beat them. Cleveland. Po leeese. WEST SIDE
  23. Um. I still know what I'm talking about because Chevez McCray (FIRST TEAM ALL-STATE Running Back 4-A as a Junior) went to a camp at the University of Tennessee after his junior season. Well, since Phil Fulmer and Don Woods are close friends (Fulmer was a reference on Woods' application when he got the West job)... Oral agreements made upon gave McCray a spot on the University of Tennessee squad after his senior season. Too bad he got busted for weed in high school and got kicked out. Woods' brother is Sparky, former head coach at South Carolina.
  24. Same could be said at Morristown West. Only one players signed to continue playing college football.
  25. He has been the offensive coordinator at Jeff County for a while. Jeff County has lost a lot for a while. Meadows brought new hope. Hutchins brought offensive woes. Word is Jeff County said "Don't hit your behind on the way out".
