  1. Thank you jvb123 !!! Someone from Lawrence County has finally admitted that their students were "in the way of the locker room". THANK YOU !!! As for the scenario of the Shelbyville coach getting his Assistant Coaches and players to the dressing room, that is where they were going. There just happened to be Lawrence County students in the way. Just ask jvb123. It is right there in black and white, "blame LCHS for getting in the way of the locker room". Once again I ask, Where were the Principal, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director for Lawrence County? Still waiting........................... Doesn't matter if they were in the way. Andrews went into the STANDS to sucker punch a student, followed by his teammates. Not sure where the LCHS administration was. They don't have to be there. Just have to designate someone as in charge. The SCHS administration and coaches were there and totally unable or unwilling to control their players. Just shoved a cheerleader and hurled insults. So, things would have been better if they weren't there, either. The LCHS coach took his team to the locker room and kept them there. If someone happens to get in your way at school/work tomorrow, be sure to slug them. Apparently that is the Shelbyville way.
  2. When the first punch is a sucker punch...then he started it.
  3. But SCHS will continue to play LCHS because they are not a bunch of wusses. Now, back to the actual topic. You won't see these incidents many places, and hopefully not again involving these schools, but most schools don't have problems because the students aren't THERE.
  4. Would the same not hold true for about 50 other QBs last night, too?
  5. Both Page and Creek Wood's opponents won exactly 49% of their games this year. Creek Wood finished 9-1 while Page went 6-4 so you have to give the edge to CW.
  6. But he probably was under orders from Bush.
  7. I agree. Ridiculous argument. He is definitely better off at Ensworth. In the space of two years he has gone from the community buying him clothes to wear to away games to where he is now attending a school where the annual tuition is $19,200 ($76,800 for four years). But can you understand that the principal may not believe that it was for academic reasons? This conversation validates the reason for the split athletically between schools that give financial aid and those that don't. But, yes, Antonio is better off at Ensworth. Who wouldn't be?
  8. Do they teach selective reading at that school of yours? Of course Ensworth academics is better than Mt. Pleasant's. Are you saying you offered him financial aid based on his scholastics? Then what is the problem with him sitting out a year from athletics? Faith Hill and Tim McGraw came to MP to ask them to sign a release based on his academics? There are a lot of schools with needy kids closer to Ensworth than MP. Why aren't you busing them in? Could 6-6, 300 have anything to do with it? Again, everyone knows he is better off at Ensworth. Just don't insult their intelligence, or the intelligence of the other students at Ensworth, by saying the reason he is there is academics.
  9. Wolaver's reason for not signing the release was pretty simple and actually quite honorable. The release stated that Antonio was going for academic reasons and Wolaver refused to sign hi =s name to something that he felt was a lie. I wonder how many kids that Faith Hill would drive to Mt.Pleasant to ask the principal to sign the release for. A 5-5 saxophone player, maybe. Ensworth even sent a bus for awhile, to pick him up. 50-mile ride for a math whiz, maybe. The people in Mt. Pleasant understand why he left and would have done the same for their kids if they could. Their kids aren't the next John Henderson, though. They just don't care for outsiders trying to blow smoke up their behinds while passing judgment on them. Drive down to Mt. Pleasant this weekend and ask around. Bet Antonio is there.
  10. I like it, too! And, what difference does it really make. We come here to talk football and have plenty of people to talk to. I bet it looks really good in a month or two, though, not like something the freeloader wacojaco would make. When you freeload, waco, like you and I do you have no room to complain.
  11. You guys are deluding yourselves. Count the number of transfers Shelbyville has had over the years and compare it to any other school anywhere. Then realize that true bb fans have no respect for Shelbyville or for all of their championships.
  12. Interesting picture and web page: See if anyone can make all of the connections on this topic. This is the team that one of the transfers from Giles County is playing on right now. Then notice the first three coaches highlighted: Tn Flight Navy NIKE
  13. I think you just agreed with his/her point, that you have to cheat to win championships? Not that I agree.
  14. Mom mentions Hooptown. Isn't that Tiffany Woosley? Wow Who did they play AAU for?
  15. Someone needs to find that thread accusng Lawrence Co of recruiting those girls. Be interesting to see who commented in it.
  16. The average girls on this team will not be playing. Their positions were just taken. Now, what do you do if you are the parents of one of the current Clarkrange players who will no longer be able to get playing time? Do you go to the expense, hassle, etc to move because your daughter has always wanted to play high school basketball? Is it fair that they have to make that decision because of parents who live in another school zone?
  17. If you are good enough to get a scholarship at Clarkrange while playing on basically an AAU team then you are good enough to get one at another school, too.
  18. If you go to the camp you'll notice that all of the coaches are there. You see, it is within the rules to be there and coach now. It is BREAKING the rules to do so in April. That is what you saw, rightly so, on YouTube. Hopefully they will post it again if it happens again.
  19. And that attitude, from someone who hasn't a clue about what goes into a typical 7-hour school day, is going to make coaches welcome volunteer coaches onto their campuses? By the way, I got a raise for the coming school year. Comes to $21 a month, before taxes.
  20. Never been to Mt. Juliet HS. Saw the video. He is breaking the rules. Justify if you must.
  21. The person who is ruining his reputation and livelihood is the person who broke the rules, not the person who videotaped it. You blame the security cameras if you get caught robbing a bank? Every coach in the state knows what the rules are.
  22. The MBA student who got sick- went to the hospital, got some Tamiflu, went home and will be fine in another day or so. You can't close the school every time someone sneezes. Take your kid to the doc and keep him home if he gets sick. I've had the flu. Who hasn't?
  23. So you are going to close the schools every time one student gets the flu? No matter what kind they get you will have to close schools until you know what kind it is. What happens if we ever have a real health problem? Dyersburg survived real well before they even had a Walmart.
