Well this started off to a pretty good discussion until the ignorant postings about Manchester hating Tullahoma and the one about people in Manchester being red-neck inbreds. I've always felt that people who can't get ahead on their own abilities have to tear somebody else down in order to feel good about themselves. Lets leave this discussion to what it is, a GREAT rivalry between two proud teams. Both teams are well coached and any player who went through the 100 degree practices this year have to be dedicated to their teams and the game. The game is always played on the field, not on discussion boards. I feel this one will be one of the better Coffee Pot games in the history of the series. Good luck to both teams and as usual, the best team that night will win. I have no doubt both coaching staffs will have their players ready to do battle. Seems like the same people always want to keep the same old BS going. If you don't like Coffee County's film, get the game film from Shelbyville or whoever Coffee County's opponent is. I could talk about the time keeper in the Coffee Co/Cookeville Game 2 years ago in Cookeville. I was there and after 2 incidents with the clock being kept running while moving chains, I kept up with it the rest of the game. I still have it in my billfold. In the 3rd and 4th quarters, 2 minutes and 42 seconds were run off the clock that shouldn't have been. Even the security personnel at the game were shaking their heads. Lost my voice that night. NOW LETS GET DOWN TO WHAT REALLY MATTERS................................ The game films being cut don't have anything to do with anything. Running the clock probably didn't hurt Coffee County that much (its just the principle of it). Whoever shows up at Cookeville's field and plays the best game will win. Coffee County is as good as I've seen them in a long while. Coach Price and his staff have the Raiders conditioned better than I've seen any team, EVER! Coming back from a 21-0 halftime score at Brentwood to tie the game with 4 seconds left in the game proves this. 62 points and 604 yards offense against Shelbyville ain't bad either. On the other hand, Cookeville always has a quality football team. It has always been hard to win at Cookeville. Probably the only better home field advantage in this region belongs to Lincoln County. So if you want to see a really good ballgame Friday night, be at the Cookeville/Coffee County game. The best team should win. I think this year, the better team should be the Raiders. If the coaching staff at Coffee County can keep their team from making silly mistakes in the 1st quarter, it could be a big win. GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the half....Coffee Co 14-Tullahoma 3 Coffee County coaching staff have prepared the Raiders for this one. The Coffee County Defense is very surprising tonight.

With 6 min left in the 1st half, Coffee County is ahead 14-3. The very young Coffee County team seems to be pretty scrappy tonight. William LeHawkins (Coffee County) has run 2 back to back 67 yard touchdown runs, and several short runs. The Coffee County defense has stopped Tullahoma 2 times in the red zone, one time on the 1 yard line.

Thats the reason I started this thread.....I have seen CC play a few times and they were all against JV teams. Even so, they are holding their own most of the time. Looks like the future is pretty good for CC baseball.

The way it looks, there's not too many true freshman teams out there

Does anybody know how many True Freshman Baseball teams are in Middle Tennessee, or in all of Tennessee. I know many schools have JV teams, but I was wondering about True Freshman 9th grade teams.

I too believe it will be a good game. If Coffee County's defense comes out and plays 4 complete quarters, then I believe Coffee County wins. If not, and Lebanon gets up on the Raiders early, then Lebanon probably wins. Either way, I believe it is going to be a close & very physical game. Yes...other RB's exist in Tennessee so why don't you post about them instead of using all of your posts to downgrade Jake Nunley. If you don't have anything good to say about him, then shut up and post on who you think is a great back.
