  1. Wal-Mart started selling kayaks and it has made it easier to get to the other side of the river. lol Carthage will be fine. It looks like they have some skill players in 8th grade to go with a decent size line. It will be interesting to see if the new region they are in is a blessing or a curse.
  2. Wasn't able to make it tonight. Somebody give me a game summary. Good/Bad takeaways for both teams.
  3. DeKalb up 20-0 at half. Carthage has went 6 quarters without a score.
  4. I seen where the game is cancelled for tonight. I assume one or both schools is having Covid issues?
  5. DeKalb takes to the field for the first time this year after a cancellation against Warren Co in week 0 while Carthage looks to get some offense going. Thoughts/Predictions.
  6. It was the peace sign or deuces is what I believe the kids call it now. I was surprised it didn't get called either but there was so much excitement and intensity in the game that some emotion was going to come out. The ref did speak to him after the play. The atmosphere last night was one of the loudest and most energetic I have seen at Gordonsville in a long time.
  7. On paper Upperman is the best they have been in several years. Moving up to 4a this year and should probably still see at least the third round.

  10. Having seen both teams play this year, I predict a running clock sometime in the second half and South Pitt adding a gold ball. Also any tips on keeping my skillet in tip top shape. I currently clean mine with hot water and a little salt then wipe it down with oil over low heat.
  11. Could it be called Caney Fork High with an Eagle mascot and blue/gold colors. There are pros and cons and arguments on both sides.
  12. Starting a post before the current game is over is bad juju. Just saying. Good luck South Pitt, very impressive team especially the running game.
  13. Big return for Gordonsville called back. Lots of penalties for both sides.
  14. South Pitt with a big return. First and goal. Tied 7-7
  15. If Chuck wins a Region title at Lebanon they may very well erect a statue in his honor. I believe the gate is almost closed on those driving by Lebanon to play at Watertown and other schools which will only help his cause.
  16. Chuck isn't coming back for several reasons. A few are he has pretty decent talent in his freshman and sophomore class and Lebanon has been gifted a very winnable region. Going from 6A to 3A isn't appealing especially with three Nashville schools in the region and with him still living local and being involved in the community he knows what is or isn't in the pipeline at Smith County for the next couple year's to come.
  17. Might even have a player or two swim across the head waters of the Cumberland river to wear blue and white next year.
  18. Old Pirate can you provide more insight on what you think Gordonsville does that can cause SP trouble. Obviously we know SP has plenty of offense.
  19. lol no powerp but I was referencing them with that. Yes they hated on Gordy too especially not even knowing their record during the broadcast.
  20. Pop-up showers tend to follow the Caney Fork river this time of year. Gordonsville will have to play four lights out quarters and capitalize on any mistakes the University of South Pittsburg makes. The winner of this game makes Cookeville imo.
  21. Trousdale has ended Watertown's season the last two years. What does Watertown do to stop the cycle. The 10 day forecast doesn't show any rain. I feel like Watertown has improved the most throughout the season and played a tougher schedule. How healthy is Trousdale?
