I remember the excitement that Coach Kerr brought to AC football when he returned in 1993. I remember how in his second year AC went to the third round of the state playoffs. I remember how AC went to the second round in 95 and to the semis in 96. How the 96 team ended the then longest high school winning streak in the country of 54 games by beating Cleveland in the quarterfinals 31-7. I remember the 2001 team that went the quarterfinals. I remember the 2001-2003 teams that went 30-7. The last two teams he coached went to the 2nd round of the playoffs. He had an undefeated regular season team at Lake City High School in 1980. He won a AAA state championship at Halls High in 1986. There are also a lot of good things that he will be remembered for by the people he coached and coached with that no one will ever know about. Thanks Coach for all the good times.

Region Champs. With the talent they have returning and the coaching staff they have, nothing less.

Yes, that was me. AC was well represented last Friday and I'm sure there'll be more of us up there pulling for you guys this Friday. TL has lots of "fans" who want to see him and the Indians do well.

I can't make a prediction, because I have not seen TC play. I got to watch Oneida play Greenback and was very impressed with how well Oneida played. Obviously, they are a very well coached team. Having coached with TL, I will guarantee you that they will be very prepared mentally, physically and emotionally for this game. His players feed off of him and I can tell you that they are getting "razor blade soup" this week. If TC is as good as advertised this should be a "smack em in the mouth" game. Good luck Indians, this Maverick will be there Friday night pulling for you.

TL is one of the very best at any level. Those that know him on and off the field will agree with me that he is not only a top notch coach, but a good man as well. If you played for him or coached with him he leaves a lasting impression on your life.

Does an AC win eliminate Kingston?

E-x-e-c-u-t-i-o-n. Simple things: don't turn the ball over. Block and tackle. Coaches coach, players make plays. AC has coaching and talent. What has been lacking has to do with the players. AC made plays early in the season. The last three opponents have had talent to match AC. What has been lacking is the players have not executed and made plays. Go Mavs! I'm "down under" but I'm still pulling for you.

Hola to the Indians! I'm not down under but pretty dad jim close. Coach Lambert know what I'm talking about. Raunch 'em tomorrow night. Friday night life.

Much more athletic and should prove a tougher test than some of Clinton's earlier games. Still a game Clinton can and should win.

Does this mean you'll play nice and start referring to AC's coach as "Coach Kerr"?

Sounds good to the Powell people because Larry Kerr has done a pretty good job against Powell since he came to AC. Feels good when you beat a good coach and his team. Congratulations. Kerr has 7 wins and 3 losses against Powell since 93. I'll take Kerr over Lowe or Duncan any day.

Won't be a barn burner unless AC gets the turnovers out of their system. AC has the coaching and the talent to compete with Catholic, but they have to get back to the way they played at the start of the season. Catholic is well coached, I don't see them beating themselves, AC players need to simply execute. Make the plays they are capable of and most of all play with an attitude. AC hasn't beaten Catholic but, I know this team can do it. Good luck Friday night.

450 yards against Lambert's defense? Not gonna happen.

Powell played a great game. Houston threw the ball extremely well. AC turned the ball over so many times I lost count. AC needs to take this loss and learn from it quickly......it's the little things that count. Big game next Friday with Catholic.

Most of the fans who support AC teams are first class people. And I emphasize most. Unfortunately all schools have fans who show themselves. I can remember a few years back when the students at Kingston basketball games were not exactly on their best behavior. As a matter of fact, and I emphasize fact because I was there, one of the finest young men to come out of AC was attacked by some students from Kingston. But I don't call the people of Kingston or their fans classless. I have deep respect for people like Jody McCloud, Vic King and others that I have gotten to know over the years. The AC people I know are all about class and I know alot of them.
