Nashville Eagles????? I Agree the mid 1990's team had some very impressive and talented players. But the Eagles of the past two seasons come on now U.S.S.S.A. state thats not a tournament I would brag about or the N.s.A. World although its impressive to say WORLD CHAMPIONS. The last two A.S.A.Nationals I've been to the N.S.A. champs have'nt finished in the top ten and last year not in the top 15. M. Rhodes is very good pitcher and the rest of the team must have had a good season but to say no other team was as good as the Eagles last year? I should say once again the FIREBIRDS or 14U NIGHTHAWKS AND EVEN T.E. ELITE when healthy were better from top to bottom. Everybody deserves a cinderella season at least once but to be considered as a top team you must prove it over a period of time.

Why do High School coaches penalize good atheletes who choose to play more than one sport. Young atheletes should not have pressure put on them by coaches to choose one sport over another.

Hey Catchman from h"ville the Nighthawks work hard year round we LOVE to play the game but we also love to WIN !!! Color of the uniform does'nt matter because if it did your team would"nt be very good being black and gold Ha Ha. We all play for different reasons and we all play because we love it!! Lets do"nt bring (J.W.) into it because he has done alot for softball in the mid-state. If it was'nt for him taking everyones players in the early years maybe all of us would'nt have worked as hard as we have to make our teams and players better so we could keep our players on our teams.

Hey Sport...have you heard of a TEAM.....TOGETHER EACH ATHLETE MATTERS......hello.....don't get on the frost falcons...I have had dealings with these guys for about 6 years and they are a class act...We all want to win......Isn't that the idea?....

Hey Cornpup....good post....I figure this is how it goes...When your daughter is playing on a team...they are the best team around....but when things don't go your way ...oops...the coach is suddenly HORRIBLE.....as far as the colors....it had to be a man....I'm with you on the hate...hey it's the holidays.....have a little fun ...then come spring...fight it out on the dirt....

I think players and coaches are looking for College offers..There are alot of talented GIRLS playing sports in TN that deserve a look...If summer coaches would take the time a talk to a College coach or two at some of these tournaments they suggest you travel outside of Tn....They do not ask if you won the tournament...they just ask What tournaments you have been to?.....Put these girls out there to be seen...you never know who is watching......play your best at all times...no matter what TEAM you play on....anybody who really loves the sport will not fault a child on any team...afterall...we all want to win.....right....bottom line...EXPOSURE...IS WHAT IT IS ABOUT......

Hey catchman.....sounds like you have some sour purple grapes.....let me know which team has a trailer....full of equipment....I think you have your teams mixed up.....Welcome to the big leagues.....Sometimes you are a big fish until you get out of your own pond...Nighthawks are not the only team who have roster changes....anybody who wants to win looks for the best...at this age the child either wants to be the best or not....league ball plays on Sat. morning...I'm sure they have open spots....As far as picking up better players......nobody should be comfortable or guaranteed a spot.....

Hey Fpfanatic you must be from east tn. capital of N.S.A and you dont know as much about the Nighthawks as you think. The NIGHTHAWKS did start out playing alot of N.S.A. in there early years but we were smart enough to stop and play real softball. The NIGHTHAWKS dont have any trouble finding players because they find the NIGHTHAWKS and over the next three years we will show all of Tennesse what the GOLD means infront of your teams name!!!!!! They will also do with alot of 2and3 sport athletes and i do mean ATHLETES..

I have heard of these other teams but just because you put GOLD infront of your name does'nt mean your a competitive team. Being able to compete and win consitantly every weekend is what I am talking about. Going to A.S.A. Nationals every year not every two or three and othter teams and coaches knowing of your team "White Lighting" of Powell Tn.????????

goodpasture will be the best team in any class

Goodpasture had several 8th grade players to make their team last year...one of their starters was a 8th grader...I think as long as the school is all on the same campus...they are eligible...

Buggs did not play cause the game was under control...he will play Friday Nite and will be in rare form...Good luck to both teams....

How many age groups did Elite have? I assumed organization to mean more than one team....

My vote is to Jeremiah...I have watched him for two years...yes, he size is compact...but he moves and uses his size to his advantage.....Nothing against Brandon..it's just I've watched Jeremiah and he is my favorite..

Goodpasture would like to also extend our thoughts and prayers for the family and the school.....Playing hard and winning is the name of the game...but sometimes there are more important things.....this being one of them...we all are with you guys in one way or another...May God give you the strength to get through this horrible tragedy...This calls for a play that we all must pull together no matter what team we are on....

Blaming it on the coach is a way out...if they played since 7th grade and they have a love of the game...and you can't tell me the current coach is the only one who has ever yelled...Don't think so...I was also around the players and I have heard they didn't like the prior Coach....so at this point you play for the Coach that is there or you leave..? They have a choice and we must respect their decision...personally I think they were worried about the success of the upcoming season and chose not to invest the time or effort. The girls who made other choices are good kids....and we must remember...It was their choice....let it go......As far as a degrading Coach....that is a matter of opinion...I, myself don't agree....Have you ever watched Pat Summitt?.....Nobody bashes her...She is a great Coach...So go figure, It is all in the eyes of the beholder..

You could not have said it better.....The athletes must have the drive from within...There is not a coach around that can give it to them.....Some have the fire and some are satisfied with second best....

YES, THERE WERE PLAYERS WHO QUIT THE TEAM...BUT IT WAS NOT ALL THE COACH...SOME GIRLS MADE OTHER CHOICES..AND THEY HAVE THE RIGHT...ONLY TWO WERE STARTERS....THE COACH IS TOUGH..BUT WHAT MAKES A BETTER TEAM...A COACH WHO PUSHES THE GIRLS TO EXCEL OR A COACH WHO LETS THE GIRLS CALL THE SHOTS?....GOODPASTURE WILL HAVE A POSITIVE SEASON...THE BENCH WILL STEP UP AND COVER THE VACANCIES....MAYBE THEY SAW THE WRITING ON THE WALL...OR HEARD THE KNOCK AT THE DOOR...THEY WILL BE MISSED...BUT EVERYONE CAN BE REPLACED... GOOD LUCK TO THE LADY COUGARS...THEY HAVE A POSITIVE SEASON IN FRONT OF THEM...

WHAT ABOUT GOODPASTURES NATALEE WEISSINGER. SHE PLAYED WITH BROWN FROM CLARKSVILLE WITH LADY TIGERS. NATALEE IS AS QUICK AND AGGRESSIVE AS THEY COME. LOOK OUT EZELL AND THE REST OF THE DISTRICT.
