UC man, let me correct you about Bledsoe in the mid 90's. My junior and senior years were a combined 18-5 with wins over Upperman both years, Smith , Livingston, York , and the like. This was 94-95 football seasons. Only district team we didn't beat was postman westy teams with Dobbs Brown, and crew. They were good. So were we. To say they stunk is pretty idiotic because bledsoe was down in 97 but made a decent run in 98 losing in second round to DCA by 7.

Actually you scored twice. One int would have been a TD. Clay lost both guards to injury in first series. They double as a dt and Mike linebacker. Clay moved the ball on the edges. Dekalb rb is very good. Both teams got work. Clay ol is decimated now. Starting center was out and now both guards. If down and distance Dekalb first td would have been negated by int . Dekalb will be fine. Should compete for top 2-3 in their district

Rumors are just that, rumors . Went through that as well when I resigned it was rumored that I was fired but in fact was asked to reconsider . Sometimes coaches need to move on for reasons beyond anyones comprehension . I'm sure it is to better themselves and family. I know it was a tough decision and the folks in Lake County have been awesome to my brother and his family. Lewis and Stewart senior year was 2010. Opened at Finley with central. Played Signal early, who won AA state, redeemed themselves against Bledsoe and lost to Goodpasture. Difference in Goodpasture besides the QB was OL/DL and 230 pound FB. As far as the next season 2011, we lost alot of offensive punch without Lewis, Stewart, Baldwin at TE was a huge loss because he was a great blocker. As for Harpeth, the QB was as good as we had seen plus their center was the only player I saw dominate our noseguard all game . Other than those we matched up. Not making excuses but we would have beaten Harpeth if we contained th QB and not have 5 turnover. Should have won 1di0 in 2010 and 8 in 2011 but didnt. Every coach has certain games they could get back and Harpeth is. 6 turnovers in 10 games and had 5 that night.

Indian I respect most of your posts but to think they were more athletic than central Goodpasture, signal or even Bledsoe is crazy. Lewis was a gifted athlete but to think they were a super athletic group is crazy. Those kids played very hard and loved their team. They matched bledsoe in athletes but the others mentioned were way deeper with athletes but not heart. As for the rest of this, good luck in the future and Indian i appreciated the time spent in Dunlap and wish those kids nothing but the best.

I believe it would also be a pay cut for Coach Fitzgerald. All I know is coach is a great guy and very good football coach who deserved to be treated much better than he was while he was at Rhea. I hope the Eagles land a quality guy and if fitzgerald is interested then hire him.

South Pitt will be fine. Coach Grider will find a good coach to lead the Pirates. Marion has made strides so the Pirates better win that game this year because the tables may turn for a while after that. I have tons of respect for both programs and I think it is great that "Jasper" is on its way back up. I have a ton of respect for Vic and Mac. Those guys are tops in my book. So good luck to the Pirates and Warriors next year.

When will Cook be announced? Seems like he was the one most people wanted last time.
