  1. Here's mine: 1. Tyner 2. McCallie 3. Baylor 4. Ooltewah 5. Cleveland 6. Hixson 7. Soddy Daisy 8. Red Bank 9. Marion County (Dark Horse) 10.Sequatchie ( Gotta show the love)
  2. Sweetwater is a very good team but they will not beat Goodpasture. Until something is done to stop the privates from playing in the public area the road to the State Championship will go through goodpasture. By the way, the team with the most talent in AA is Tyner. They are just not multiple enough on defense and the offense lacks any real strategy. Any good team with talent and a good staff can beat Tyner.
  3. I don't need a film because I was on the field coaching my kids. What you need to do is take some remedial math and learn how to add. Enough said about the stats, good luck to the red raiders but they may only win 1 game.
  4. So have they scrimmaged anyone yet or will Whitwell be the first this coming week? They scrimmaged Taft but I heard it was an evenly matched game. They were beaten by Whitwell in the spring and they have fewer players than Sequatchie does. I do not think they have a good chance to be successful this year.
  5. Have any idea what time & direction of travel the Indians will take Friday? No need to worry about the 127 yard sale except for getting the kids to the school. The route will be I-24. Try to be careful next weekend. From where I live I was thinking through McMinnville or down the Pellam Valley to Winchester. Also you haven't seen who we play in the Jamboree have you? [Edited by Sequatchie on 8-10-02 10:47P] We play quarters 5 and 6 but I would have to look on the sheet to remember who we play. I am too busy getting ready for the season and awaiting the arrival of Grundy on the 29th.

  8. Polk County will be good but they might finish 4th in the region this year. The region will be full of surprises. Marion, Tyner, and Sequatchie are greatly improved from last year. I also know Polk will not sneak up on anyone like they did last year. I hope they do well, good luck wildcats.
  9. I heard Marion came down and absolutely thrashed them. I hope the best for Coach Brown but he is going to have to find some help quick or it could be a long year.
  10. see my long response under scrimmage results. The stats were wrong from the sports newspaper guy. Maybe his degree came from a cracker jack box. The stats limited Sequatchie to 31 yards rushing. I know for a fact 5 or 6 first downs came from rushing the football. The math doesn't add up. The Indians took it to the Red Raiders. Plain and simple.
  11. SCTribe, They run the Wing T and alot of loose formation, I know you know that look. I haven't found out what they run defensively yet, but I will know by Monday.
  12. Bledsoe County runs the I formation and a 5-3 defense. The numbers are way down. Coach Boynton is going to have a hard time winning more than 2 games this year, if that.
  13. Rumor out of Jasper was 1st Team Sweetwater1td Marion 0. Sweetwater scored on a trap and Marion ran out of plays inside Sweetwater's 10 yard line. Marion was all over Moore 3-1.
  14. Sequatchie and Indian, You saw me there but I was busy on the field. I will leave it at that. I though Bowman was too lethargic on the field. His attitude would definately have to change if he were to play for SCHS.
  15. Sequatchie and Indian, do not worry about the offense. The scrimmage was a controlled scrimmage where the coaches blew quick whistles. The Indians dominated the Irish except for one play, where Bowman jumped offsides and caught a TD pass. The game should have been 3-4 TD's to 0. The defense is extremely quick and the new style will be exciting to watch. John was hurt , he will be cleared this week from a strained back. It was Jesse who took his place, Cain always had been a starter for the defense. Glad to see Indian fans on here. Hope to see you guys at the BBQ dinner this friday after the Coffee County scrimmage.
  16. Guitarman, be realistic. No one can bring Grundy County to the level that Marion was at in the early 90's. The old saying is you have to have horses to pull the wagon and Grundy don't have the horses like Portland, trousdale, and other AAA teams in middle Tennessee. Would Marion have been as good as they were without Eric Westmoreland and Anthony Martin, I think not.
  17. Guitarman, where do you get your facts? Marion County will be a very much improved team than the 6-4 last year. To whoever said that losing Colquette hurt the program. Do you know what his record was the year that he left? I do, it was 5-6. Sounds like the decline had already begun. Look to the facts before making conclusions. As for Indian, look at the lack of talent, size, guts, ect from the players. the coach before the current one ran the program into the dirt. Discipline and hard work has now been reinstalled. What out for the Indians this year, they may surprise some people.
  18. People, Goodpasture recruits! Everyone in the state of Tennessee knows this. It is not an earth shattering discovery that the school recruits. this is what PRIVATE schools do. I think people should quit crying foul over the recruitment thing and find other ways to beat them.
  19. Rebel96, The oldest rivalry in the state is the Marion County VS South Pittsburg rivalry. This game is between county rivals who usually field excellent football teams. The games are always very physical and close. this years game will be just as interesting.
