If it was a match of two former players (Layne/Rockwood vs. Yaden / Scott Co.) Oneida would win easily. But since it is not, Wartburg by a lot.

Should be. Temple, a school with a tradition over the last few years. Grace, a school building a tradition. Sexton vs. Pridemore, Slusher. Good match up.

Wartburg won a close won. Maybe 52-49. Not an accurate score but close.

Walker Valley = AAA

The four posts that play are 6'5, 6'4, 6'2 and 6'2. Both starting wings are 6'2. Have seen them play this year three times. Seem to be bigger than the opponents they have played.

Spring and summer play does not mean much. But Rockwood lost to Hampton in a jv scrimmage at Hampton and defeated Hampton at UTC team camp this summer. But no one is butting any stock in summer play.

Agree with keesball. The Tigers understand that Greenback had a bad night. expect a different Greenback team in Jan. at Greenback.

Run and Gun may be right. Depends on the night that you saw them play. If you watched against Kingston, you saw a team that couldn't drop one in the ocean. But against Harriman they shot the ball much better. Hard to get up for two county rivals in a row.

Don't go overboard. One win over Kingston does not make you state bound. Greenback is coming to town. Need to focus on up coming games Tigers. kingston

Most athletic team in District 3A. Have good makeup of inside and outside players. Probably a year away from hitting full stride.

Has some size to go with the athletes and quickness. Will be a factor in the district.

Well said Took. But you overstate the importance of Coach K. Players play the game. Coach K wouldn't be one of the main factors in how Rockwood plays. Players are.

Checked lasy year's results. Rockwood beat Kingston twice last year. Been competitive with the Jackets over the past few years.

Add Coach McCollum and they have the mix to go a long way.

Grace Christian will be single A power. Cameron Pridemore is as good a guard as there is in the area. Excellent chance to get to Murfreesboro again.

Will Amos and big kid at Knox Christian play basketball at Grace since Knox Christian has decided not to play basketball this year? If they do, look out. High school dream team. Will give Grace three good guards and two good big men.

Greenback has a new post. Looks to be 6'4-6'6 range legit. Harriman has two new posts that give them good size, plus a PG that played AAU with Inman. That's a rumor though on the PG. No physical proof. Saw the two posts this summer.

Thanks for the info Run & Gun. Looks to be my take also. Greenback and Harriman have picked up some new players, but not enough to challenge Grace.

If you look under PrepXtra.com, go to stats and schedules. Click on teams. Click on the letter R. Rockwood should pop up. Click on Rockwood. Rockwood page should pop up. Hit 2008-2009 roster. Should be there.

Don't know about Cloudland's transfer, but in talking with Coach K @ Rockwood, he said Cloudland was very good this summer. Said they shot the ball well and put a lot of pressure on your defense because they are so good offensively.
