  1. Science Hill's Nick Bradley and Jerome Odom are great together. They will definitely be considered some of the top players.
  2. Boone is horrible. Just because they beat Science Hill one year, then their fans think they can beat anybody. Granted they were on top top of their game last year to finish middle of the confrence. Science Hill is the toughest mountain for any team to climb. Don't count on Boone to suprise anyone this year. Hall is gone. Who they got? You said in a post before that Ploucha is their man. I hope for your sake, he improved alot cause he was a nonfactor last year.
  3. Can't we all just get along? Chill out and have a nice tall glass of apple juice together.
  4. I haven't heard of any scrimmages. At this point in the summer I don't know if anything is going on. They start school back here in a couple days i think.
  5. don't even start on the science hill refs. they do their job whether home or away from the topper palace. if you want to complain about them, start a new thread.
  6. nobody mentioned anyone from science hill...do you wanna see anyone on your lists shut down? just play science hill and ask for nick bradley...your man won't touch the ball
  7. Science Hill beat Oak Hill Academy while they were ranked #1 in the nation. That is the best basketball game i have seen ever.
  8. And Science hill lit up Maryville in preseason in the first half so bad...The Hill played their JV the second half.
  9. I was gonna get on here and talk about how great Science Hill's fans are but it looks like Surf beat me to it. The William Blount game was crazy. The fans made the team play at a higher level. I'm very sure William Blount was a better team than they showed at the Hill. I think our fans my have had something to do with that.
  10. Hey kryptonite, is your name BJ Miller, and play on the basketball team? just wondering why you're an elizabethton fan and have #20.
  11. Did you happen to go watch the State Tourney? Someone different stepped up each night. Love? Scored well below his average. Hairston? Played through a stomach virus so he wasn't 100%. Anton? Science Hill would have won the gold ball if he was ready to play for any of the games. Again Kryptonite, don't say a word unless you have proof to back it up. I don't know what your problem is with the Hill, but get over it. Just because they have dominated the court in every aspect people like you look for other ways to attack them. Just comment on your town's basketball, not ours.
  12. I'm not sure who they have played. I haven't had a chance to go watch them. From what I hear though they haven't lost a game. I guess that's to be expected since the camp is for little kids right kryptonite. i think tommorrow is the last day. Western Kentucky is at the end of July. [Edited by UNCCJP33 on 7/11/02 10:39P]
  13. Can't hang with the big boys? Oh and the State Tourney was just a Junior Hornets league game? I guess you don't know that the Hill is going to Western Kentucky Unviersity to play the best teams in Kentucky. Make sure you know what you're talking about before you say something stupid. You should learn from history, it doesn't take the Hill any time at all to reload. If you think it was it last year. You're in for a suprise. This year's team could be better than last year's. What team are you for? I'm sure the Hill will more than hang with them. Don't give them any bulletin board material. You know what happens then. 32 minutes of Hill. You think your boys can handle that. We'll see... You better not be from Elizabethton talking this smack. Let's talk about wusses. Drop down a classification so we can win games!!! WAAAAAAA!! 14. I was informed after my initial post with Ongie at back-up point guard, about Matt Hardin. Corey Davis will probably be playing a 2 or 3 guard instead of the point guard he played on JV. He's tall and can handle the ball very well. I don't know how much PT he'll get. I was told that Science Hill swept their first day at Milligan Camp. So i'm guessing they're playing alright.
  15. Matt Hardin is new. He's from Indiana. And from what I hear he can play. He will be the back-up point guard.
  16. Seniors: Nick Bradley Rahman Graham Matt Lorencen Matt Ongie D.D. Hamilton Ju Bowling Juniors: Anthony Barcell Brandon Frye Jerome Odom Matt Hardin Corey Davis Sophomores: Josh Jenkins Kirk Hughley
  17. Don't expect anything new from DB. Same ole same ole. Science Hill will win the confrence and WILL make it back to Murphreesboro. Heard it here first. Leadership will come in the form of DD hamilton. The team is just melding together right now and finding what works. Don't count them out. Although I am partial being a Hilltopper myself.
  18. He's not new. He traveled with the Varsity last year as a freshman. He's going to get a chance to show his stuff this year. Starting Five: PG: Odom SG: Bradley SF: Hamilton PF: Graham C: Bowling Second Five: PG: Ongie SG: Frye SF: Jenkins PF: Hughley C: Barcell Second group will light it up with Ongie, Frye and Jenkins throwing it up there. Hughley and Barcell will clean everything that misses. The first group will be clutch. Not great shooters, but gets it done when the game's on the line.
  19. There's another kid I forgot to mention. His name is Kirk Hughley. He's the one who will be dunking. He's a sophomore. He probably won't start over rahman or ju, but he will be second group for sure. Everyone on the team won't be able to dunk like last year's team, but Kirk can soar. As for the pressure defense...what kind of question is that? Pressure defense is a trademark of Science Hill and it will probably always be. This group doesn't have a star like last year but they have many people who are capable of turning it on.
  20. Barcell will come into his own this year. I promise. D.D. has a hard-nosed, in your face kind of game, and he brings great leadership. He's not as athletic but he makes up for it. Frye IS a deadly shooter. Another shooter to watch is Josh Jenkins. He's young but he can light it up too when he gets the jitters out. Julius Bowling will be better than his brother Bryson. Ju has a more well rounded game with the same athletism of his brother. He's one to watch also. I can't stress enough, watch out for Rahman Graham. He has game nobody has seen. He just needs to get out there and play it. Matt Ongie is another. He is a point guard who sees the floor VERY well. Lorencen has been in the weight room and is bulking himself up. There are so many more players that can contribute. But with the 5 in 5 out philosophy at the Hill, if you're not in the first 10, you get clean-up, or 11 in last year's case with that phelps kid. But they are deep this year as they were last year. [Edited by UNCCJP33 on 7/6/02 5:45P]
  21. Science Hill will be just fine. Every year there are people who say their inexperience will hurt them, and they always push above expectations. You mention Jerome, Nick, and Rahman, but you forget about D.D. Hamilton, Brandon Frye, and Barcell. Some of these guys haven't had their chance to shine yet. They will next year and they won't disappoint. Hamilton is tough as nails and Frye can stroke the three. Look for them to make it to State again. How far they go is up to them.
