  1. you said in three of four lines what took me about 30. I gotta learn to be more direct. Nice post man
  2. You're going to have to re make your point. I missed it. Not saying it wasn't valid or good. I just couldn't find it. Still in your post you show many schools with large populations that would likely move down to A. that is a huge difference between them and the smallest current A team. How is that fair playing field? That is my question. I don't understand your South Pit thing and the point you were trying to make. Please restate, so we can discuss.
  3. cleveland is good to go. don't know about the other boy
  4. puj, think here man. you say: your post is not worth responding to in a response to that message!!! come on dude
  5. Swamp, you're right on. All male and all female schools are automatically doubled for enrollement purposes. I like the stay where you are and play plan. Sounds good to me.
  6. Ok, so they prolong the problem. Maybe the numbers would be set first. Then, the TSSAA would change the figures the next time it comes up. Question: Do these ignorant split wanters not see the harm they would be doing to themselves? They would create a VERY flooded 3A which would make qualifing for the playoffs very difficult and the regions VERY large. Oh well, maybe they are not just after trophies after all. Or, this is all hogwash political garbage (AKA a bluff). Either way, a possible solution (as already mentioned) would be for the TSSAA to require that a team file to move up before numbers are set under the basis of the need to set numbers with knowledge of how many teams would be in each class. A school would be required to give interest to move up to a certain class and then the numbers would be set after that. That is EASY to justify. Of course, I don't think Ronnie has the intestinal fortitude to take a stand on anything, so this porbably won't get done. Either way, all the votes lie in public school hands. 7. Swamp, you forgot the main reality in this thing. You are using logic in this situation. Split supporters do not allow logic or reasonable thoughts. They ONLY allow thoughts that are in their best interest. Logic is not allowed in the picture. I, however, like your idea.
  8. like I said in my thread "enjoy your new friends" (First post in the thread). If 30 1A schools move to AAA, the number of schools in each class would be adjusted. In the case of some schools moving up and then adjusting the numbers, all that would likely happen is that a bunch of current AAA teams would move to AA which would tick off all the AA people The bottom line is this: You can cry all you want, but there will NEVER be a solution that makes all the cry babies happy. Mostly b/c the cry babies will always be losers, b/c they focus their attention on the wrong thing. [Edited by panfan on 9-23-02 11:34A]
  9. COLE: Here is my take on your Q's (and this is my OPINION!! -- not fact) 1) Yes they can. if there were a body of water around and some tea, you'd have private schools dumping the tea everywhere. ultimatly, private schools have NO SAY in their fate. Publics know they have nothing to stand on, so they take out any power to privates. 2) NOt a likely court battle. what is more likely is a split from TSSAA in which privates form their own governing body. This would be very bad. 3) NO, TSSAA can not afford another lawsuit. The schools who are going to have to pay off the debt and the now increased premiums on insurance are going to go nuts. A lawsuit from DI privates would be a good idea, but I don't see it happening 4) I don't see any DI privates jumping into court. I see them telling Ronnie and his inability to inflict logic into this sitution to shove it and form their own league.
  10. Puj, Calm down puji, if you guys are so good, why are you so scared of private schools? Also, if you are seeking a level playing field, why are you playing so many big schools? Is that a level playing field? If you read between the lines in your own post puj, you'll see that the only reason you want private schools out is b/c they are private. you have something against them. And, mr eager to forget, I have always claimed that there were plenty of public schools who work hard enough to win and have GREAT coaches. Those teams win (collinwood, Bructon, south pitt, trousdale) on a regular basis. I have gone further to prove beyond any doubt that good public schools can compete vERY well with good private ones in 1A. The point is: you have a jelousy problem, or a resentment problem or something. Bottome line: if you wanted a fair playing field, you would be upset at the idea that there would be much bigger schools playing you. That is not an even field. instead, you choose to harp on simply not liking privates. come on puj, fess up like ELA did. You simply don't want to play private schools. You have no real argument for it. You just don't want to play private schools.
  11. RARE for a public school to match athlete for athlete??? Trousdale and/or Collinwood mean anything to you Puj? What about Bructon? Rare for public schools to match? You must not watch 1A ball much! Get a clue. I guess you're saying that getting beat by better athletes is not as good an excuse as getting beat by a school with 2x the number of kids you have. Sounds like you know you're going to lose and just want a good excuse. No wonder you don't win much
  12. I have a question for all you crying split support folks: What do you think is going to happen to 1A if all the private schools are taken out? Well, let's see, you'll lose around 20 private football playing schools I can think of. Then, those schools have to be replaced. So, the smaller AA schools are now A schools. So you have a larger enrollement difference than you had before between the smallest A and largest A. So, is that your fair playing field? Second, I want all you young, tuff, split wanting guys to meet Cling Satterfield. He'll whip you all over the field on friday nights. Trousdale is at the bottom of AA (enrollment wise) and would almost certainly be in A after all the privates have to be replaced. Then, without any private schools to make political statments over, Clint can drop to A and continue to beat you guys every friday from now till you figure out that you lose a lot b/c you can't coach and not b/c privates have a "unfair" advantage. Oh yea, meet Tyner Academy, they'll be thumping you to. Of course, they are a magnet school, and by your stupid reasoning, they should be in with privates. But, split supporters are hypocrites, so we know that magnet schools will stay in DI. Meet Alcoa High school. they'll romp in 1A also. You see. If you take 20 + schools out of 1A, you have to adjust the numbers to ballance the divisions. You split lovers have fun with the new guys. I am sure you'll cry yourselves a river of pity until you all get a nice trophy in the end even though you're under 500 and couldn't beat my little sisters sorority flag football team. Here are the figures. Notice the bottom of AA and meet your new rivals. http://www.tssaa.org/Classifications/schoolstable.htm [Edited by panfan on 9-21-02 1:30A]

  14. Hey you landers people get kids from out of state a heck of a lot more than private schools. GET REAL landers mom!!!! VG, You asked a question that requires specific answers and resonable support. They will not be able to answer that.
  15. VG, If everyone else was a smart as we are, life would be a better place. You are 100% correct. Public supporters won't handle real issues. You make great points. I'll go back and re-read the thread you mention.

    Boyd and FRA

481, you are a negative terd. I mean, good grief, at least I get mad at split supporting goons who have never met an ridiculous point they didn't like. You get on here and talk bad about kids. FRA kids CPA kids. You can look back through all of my posts and I have never talked bad about kids. Now, coaches, yes, especially Darth Vador. But kids, no. You need to spend more time doing your Math homework or cutting the grass around the car in your yard, than talking bad about kids. What is your major malfunction anyway?
  17. Remember EGO, logic is not something split supporters like much of.

    Baylor-McCallie

actually, that is a good point there EGO. I don't think tyner stopped him, but they may have contained him a bit. Then again, Tyner did actually win that game. Oh well, i still see McCallie with the Victory

    Baylor-McCallie

McCallie wins easily in this one. No one can stop their little tiny tiny RB that runs faster than Neo from the Matrix movie.
  20. All schedules have been updated. Just click the thread of the team you want to know about and scroll to the first message in the thread.

    FRA???

I have told everyone this already man: I don't have anything to do with FRA. The only thing I know about them right now is they lost last week and have new people in charge at the school. Other than that I don't know. If you look at their region, this week's game is a region game. One would think all region games are must win. As far as Mike Street goes, is he a coach or a player. Either way, it is the responsibility of all. No one person is more important than another.
  22. stan, I guess you have already read the last post, but in case not, read it. some more info: Trousdale used to win all the time in single A, which they were classified as for MANY MANY years up until they grew into a AA school. When that happened, Clint decided to make a political issue out of it and elected to move to AAA where there are no private schools. I hope this makes things more clear for you Stan.
  23. VG, you have forgotten the golden rule with these people. Logic and facts are not included for them. By there reasoning, magnet schools should also be thrown in DII. But they never say that either. VG, we are dealing with people who have their mind made up and will not listen to facts and logic. Good post on the open zoning stuff. Later man

    TOP 10

McCallie would dethrown them -- even if they are DII. Except, oh yea, the head coach at Bradley is to scared to wrestle them.
