  1. Hey Mister....why you put your weight and height on your post?....that is weird.....it scared me though when I read how big you are.....I'm surely not gonna mess with you....I'm just a little ol Divison II chump. Good Day [Edited by fatkat on 4-16-03 6:30P]
  2. The City Paper is awesome and they do a great job with Prep Sports. I get in online and at the stands. Thank you Dominic for the great coverage of Prep sports. The closest thing to you was Tom Squires at the Tennessean in the 70's. What these sports writers don't realize is how many parents, grandparents, alums and just high school sports enthusists WANT to hear about the local high school sports, and they are the ones with the money who buy the paper AND shop where their advertisers advertise!! Get with it sports writers. It's an open market just waiting to be better covered!
  3. Coacht and Moderators, I totally agree with shutting down a thread that becomes too personal, too venomous. I have not spoken on Coacht in several weeks because of the constant backlash of one's thoughts or opinions, (especially from fellow fans of your own school). Coacht, I think your website is great, yet I am very tired of all the mean, hateful things that so many say to each other on here. To me, sports, is one of the world's last great OUTLETS to turn to to ESCAPE from the worries and hatred we are subjected to so much lately in this world. I am sure that this particular response from me today will be sarcastically ridiculed saying thanks for your long, boring speech, etc... But thank God for the "grown ups" on here (moderators) and keep up the good work. I will continue to occasionally pull up Coacht and read some noteworthy thoughts, but I refuse to be a part the redneck, name calling and down right ugliness that so often comes through on this website.

I'd have to say Fr.Ryan's Matt Morales
  5. OOOOkkkaaayyyyyy! Let's see........I believe Ryan came in second in the McCallie Invitational behind Macheren (misspelled I think sorry, from Georgia)and Father Ryan had two starters out at that tourney and FINISHED AHEAD OF MCCALLIE there. Then there was the Father Ryan Invitational that Fr. Ryan won handily. So, pardon me for my misunderstanding of your calculations. It's just a little confusing for I think those two recent meetings kind of speaks louder than your thoughts. No offense meant here. But, like you say.....we will see! 6. This "bad apple" also noticed frhsrules mispelled "fashion" and "wrestler", but that's okay frhsrules cause we know you're really wonderful [Edited by fatkat on 1-28-03 1:45P]
  7. Stark DID win and Greenwood did as well.
  8. The next BIG match will be regional duals at MBA, Saturday, Jan.25, before then they wrestle Hillsboro on 1-21 at H'boro, and Frankin @ Franklin on 1-23. Then of course, on to State Duals in Clarksville (1-31 thru 2-1) and then to State Individuals @ UTC on 2-14 & 15. Their last HOME match was last week against Overton. Kinda sad....they don't get to wrestle in their house much at all, and they don't have a football field either. Oh well, at least they have the Ryan Invitational.
  9. I never said they were down and out, only lacking enthusiasm. And hey....maybe you're right about others stepping up to the plate and become leaders. I feel as if they'll take state and come back strong, they're just in a funk right now. We all get that way sometime or another.
  10. Yes they are tired, yes they were on top early in the season, yes that's makes them a target for wanting to beat them, yes the varsity was there last night, but Chris Lomas (ankle)and Kyle Adams (hand surgery), and Frank Mondelli (missed school& was home sick yesterday)did not wrestle. Three starters out. As I understood it, Coach Simpson wrestled many, if not most, of the guys UP a weight class. The JV wrestled Rossview and Nashville Christian and the majority of the varsity wrestled Clarksville. Clarksville looked good according to my sources and they wanted to win. I understand they were VERY EXCITED to beat Father Ryan. The MBA Ryan results are somewhere here on this web forum CBG, also check out yesterdays' Nashville City Paper on the web. I think that the Ryan boys are lacking one thing and that is enthusiasm. Okay now, I'm gonna sound old, but, in my day coming up the wrestlers RAN out onto the mat, looked fierce and fired up, had an aire of pure adrenaline and confidence about them and followed through with their actions. I've sat through hundreds of matches and these boys just seem to be lacking in it (except for Raymond Dunning, what a LEADER he is). Please, other Ryan folks...don't crucify me for saying this, gosh, are you guys mean to the other Ryan fans or what! Anyway. I have one question, WHY do the above threads hate Fr.Ryan so much? just curious.
  11. Okay RR, I edited it just for you...I'm sure you're a bigger fan than me.......have at it. Boy you guys are rough on your own kind huh? [Edited by fatkat on 1-14-03 5:05A]

CBHStrnr, "a fat guy that stunk" wow....that's real nice to say. I hope you don't have any kind of leading role at that nice Catholic school, like trainer or something..

    best at 140?

Doesn't the STATE in February settle this entire post?
  15. I believe they came in third behind Franklin County, with Mater Dei taking first. Keeps the Irish on their toes, and at least they go up there and challenge others as good, if not better, than themselves. Says a lot for the Irish. [Edited by fatkat on 1-4-03 5:22A]
  16. Ahhhh. Father Ryan is in definite state form. They are by far the classiest, most talented team. None of this attitude with them, they just wrestle and don't strut their stuff either on this forum or in person.

    Mater Dei

I heard at 4:00 p.m.from folks at Mater Dei that Jared Medlin lost, Tyler Mayo, JP, the heavy weight filling in for Tom Hoover while on vacation and Frank Mondelli.
  18. Well, let's just all say......Thank you girls for such a great job!!!! We are appreciative of you and although you may not know it, like many "behind the scenes" folks......the show couldn't go on without you! So, from Nashville, Tennessee.....Thank you girls!!!!
  19. Ahh, sorry to say, but you're out of the loop guy
  20. Ahem.....no offense to all the "talkers"..(and God knows there's a lot of them on here!) but what did I say about Fr. Ryan?...not too shabby, #1 in Div.ll Tennessee, congrats to the "Mc" team in Georgia, good wrestling I'd also like to thank Gordon Connell, it was a smoothly run tourney,(only one complaint...turn the air on - when that many people are together there is nothin but heat generated and the air needs to kick in - seriously....us fans are gettin old we need to keep cool :)FRHS had the air turned on last year and it was well needed and well appreciated by the fans) Thanks again for a wonderful tournament Gordon, and one more time.......Go Irish
  21. thank you that was very nice of you to supply this
