Sequatchie County scored on it's second possesion of the quarter against Whitwell; after that, the 2nd team O played the rest to avoid injuries. Most of the quarter was played in Whitwell territory. Whitwell never threatend to score against the Sequatchie County D. The 20 minute quarter lengths of each game were not very well managed. I understood that the clock would run constently until the 2 minute mark then it would stop according to play, but during the Whitwell / South Pitt. game I noticed the clock had stopped during the 4 min. mark (not because of timeouts but regular play)....this added another 5 or 10 minutes to the quarter which Sequatchie and Marion could have used to scrimmage each other. Also the rain didnt hit the stadium till about 9:30 and the scrimmage was called off before 9:00... we could have gotten one more in there at least, but with Grundy knowing they were only going to play their second string during the last quarter I guess it wasn't that big of a deal to go ahead and call it for safety reasons. I just wish things would have been more consistent with regular game play as far as the clockwork went. I believe all the quarters would have gotten in if it were done that way.

Old Raider I didnt see you there either but maybe I will Friday. I'll be sure to hollar out Old Raider! several times then maybe you will find me.

Bledsoe will score their 40th point of the year in the 6th game. They may not even score against Sequatchie County and probably wont. Rivalries are when both teams win every now and then. Bledsoe is a minor bump in the road. Don't get your hopes up this year. How can Bledsoe be any better than they were last year? I don't see Bledsoe winning a single region game.

Soddy Daisy will win this one by 4 or more and some of Oaklands fans will try to protest the game by making up false accusations that the Soddy players cork their bats and the parents sneak secret vials off vaseline to the Soddy pitcher through bags of popcorn to add movement on her drop ball. Oh yeah, the umpire will be accused of taking bribes and there will be alledged use of mirrors by the Soddy fans to blind the Oakland outfielders anytime there is a pop fly. "The Americans aren't even in Baghdad they are not anywhere."

Coffee County will win this game. Playing at home and riding on momentum will give the Lady Raiders the edge. Great fan support and great sportsmanship from the people of Manchester pays off in this one. Coffee County 3 Cumberland County 0

Congratulations Lady Raiders! Don't let the sore losers from Oakland try to bring you down. Both sides should be proud of how their teams represented their schools, and the losers should look ahead to Soddy Daisy. They will have their hands full with them. Parents who try to start trouble by making up false accusations about Coffee County fans or any fans from the teams that beat theirs need to realize that the game is played by students not them. Some of Oaklands fans need to quit trying to live their dreams through their childrens playing ability. These parents should grow up and respect the game for what its worth. I dont even live in Coffee County or Murf. but I went to the game just to see great softball being played. I never once saw any birds being thrown or parents from Coffee County being rude to Oaklands fans. I am not partial to either school I just saw a great game, and now I'm reading lies about the good people from Manchester from what it sounds like adolescent sore losing parents from Oakland. Congratulations to the Lady Raiders and Coach Breeden for a good job and good luck against Cumberland County. Anyone know the game time and date? I want to be at this game also.

The only new team we play this year is Walker Valley. East Ridge is off the schedule.

Bledsoe may not score 42 points combined until the mid point in the season. Seriously. and most of them will come against a team like Sewanee St. Andrews.

I agree with Sly. If your gonna slander someone time after time at least have your facts straight. Do you think your the only one that has all the information about Coach Price? Quit hiding behind your nickname and tell us who you really are if you feel so strongly about what your saying concerning Coach Price. Cowards hide behind statements like the ones you've made. Bledsoe will finish last in the region again. They will not win a region game. Young coach or old coach or Don Shula it makes no difference. Last again. (What happened to the yearly weight meet?) No speed + No athletes + No work ethic = Very Few Wins = No Surprise.

Bledsoe will finish last in the region next year. They will be worse than they were this year. Truth hurts.

Once you people decide who has the best Junior High teams lets start a thread on who has the best elementary teams.

Elk are you Lucky from 101.5 now @ WMSR in Manchester? And is the Bill you speak of Bill Bouldin? If so how is he doing? He was one of my football coaches in junior high.

Like I have said in the past and like I will say for the future Coffee County at the begining of the season had a chance to win 4 games now that chance drops to 3 games. (Warren and Franklin County....but will probably loose to Franklin County) The players have always given up on themselves and the coaches are always ready for a break. This team will finish 2-8.....you heard it form me first, but I'm sure a bunch of other people are surprised at having 2 wins.....how you doin underpar? ha ha!

Sequatchie County is better than they were last year (when there healthy) there is no question about it. Check our scores. The teams that have beaten Sequatchie were pretty good. Sequatchie County will make the playoffs with wins over Tellico and Bledsoe. Justin Price should be back by the Bledsoe Game. This will help at Middle Linebacker. Go Indians!

The score of this game was closer than I thought it would be but outcome the same. Coffee has a tough game next week vs. Cumberland Co...probably another region loss. Coffee still has a good chance to make the playoffs with a win Vs. Frankiln Co. and one against Warren Co. all to go to Riverdale. I still think Coffee at best will sport a 4-6 record at the end of the season. Oh to underpar...this is what I have to say after Coffee Co. beats Tullahoma or wait Tullahoma won didnt they my future predicting friend. (YOUR WRONG!!) ha ha! no offense to anyone but underpar.

Coffee will be slaughtered by Grundy and Sweetwater. Tullahoma will win by 2 touchdowns as well as Franklin County maybe a shot at Lavergne but thats it. 3-8 at best but thats it. Get real if you think they will beat Sweetwater. Coffee needs to put Sewanee and Dekalb Co. on their schedule if they want to win more games, but that would be embarassing to have a 3A team a 2A team and two 1A teams on their schedule when they are a 5A team. Coffee is on a long road to nowhere. Get real.

I agree with that. We saw what we needed to see in the scrimage. We won but who cares. We ran all of our plays not just the ones that were working. If we were playing for points or to beat the point spread we would have and could have pilled it on stat wise, but its a scrimage. I think people are making to big of a deal of it to. I'd rether win in the fall.
