  1. I too think that another open date for Henry County is a good thing. Like you said another quality opponent is never a bad thing even though it might not matter in the long run. Spreading the open dates apart more will help in scheduling.
  2. Hegotgame, great post. Even though Gallatin and Lebanon are rivals, there is no reason Lebanon should not be winning a lot more than losing. You make a lot of sense.
  3. On the defensive side of the ball, I give a distinct edge to Mabin. Mabin plays his linebacker spot very well. He is on multiple tackles. Having seen Hurd, I think he is much better suited on the offensive side of the ball. If he is projected the #1 runningback next year and plays defense, then thats a tragedy. He is a very very good runningback. And I am not a Beech fan.
  4. Hurd played in all 4 quarters against Hillsboro, I know, I watched the game. The biggest difference between the two is the team surrounding them. Beech has a lot more weapons. Therefore Hurd doesn't have to carry the team as much as Maybin. I would like to see a foot race between the 2. Maybin may be a tad faster. Should be a good matchup either way.
  5. Wilson Central did not have much of a secondary though. I think even Mt Juliet exposed that on the TV game. Kenitzer did not look near that effective against Gallatin. Still Beech should win another title.
  6. I would take Beech and Northeast if I were a betting guy. Both have huge game changers playing on the offense. Beech got a lot more dangerous when Carter got back on the field. Now they can line up Hurd at reciever or flanker and keep you guessing. I was not impressed by their QB but he has decent stats so he probably had a bad game against the Wave. Gallatin did what they could in the 1st half but were doomed by turnovers in the 2nd. I think capitalizing on the breaks would be key in beating Beech. If they give you the ball, make it hurt. Their defense is not overwhelming and you can move the ball on them. On defense use the Wilson Central method and crowd the line. Just hope your secondary is better than theirs. I would without a doubt make the QB beat you and sell out on the run. Having said that. Beech is my frontrunner to the title this year. Its theirs to lose.
  7. Well we can agree on several things then after that post. Our district usually isn't very tough for Gallatin either however this was a very bad year. Next year might be even tougher. However I see no worse than middle of the pack in 10-AAA. So after finally acknowledging a small amount of respect from you for our past I end until next year or until I feel the need to comment on another outlandish prediction. And I really don't care about basketball.
  8. One more thing, if Gallatin had your district opponents they would have been in the playoffs this year too. Not your fault but that is fact.
  9. And what matters to me is Gallatins all time record versus all opponents. They have never lost to Henry County. Like I said before, I have a great deal of respect for HC and the atmosphere in Paris but give some to the others who have earned it. Things will change in Gtown before long...its way too big here for it not too.
  10. 3-7, 8-3 it doesn't matter RedWarrior we all are playing roundball now. Like I said we wont be down long.
  11. I will worry with whom and whatever I choose to worry with. Right now it is your inept snubness about everybody because you were a surposedly a coach. No offense to any other Patriot fan but you need to leave Paris and realize football is played all around the state and not just Henry County. Your phantom sources cannot direct your mouth from spewing ridiculous slanders at other schools without giving them proper respect. Your false predictions do humor me though so I am sure you will keep them up. As for Gallatin...worst season in 40 years. Not too many teams in this state can say that. It might not get any better next year either. I am fully prepared and if the new coaching staff cannot do any better soon they will not be here long. I can promise you one thing and my sources are very good with over 30 years worth of watching Green Wave Football ( jab), we won't be down long so jump on us while you can. Have a nice off season RW.
  12. As I was told earlier in the year by Redwarrior, welcome to basketball season! This guy is clueless.
  13. I saw Indy early on and they have some good pieces but not a complete team. I guess I am blind to all the love for Wharton. He is a nice player but I do not see why he is getting all of the attention from recruiters. Mt Juliet on the other hand is not as good as last year but still a big handful. They have a speed back and a power back and the defense is tough. Perry is a very good coach and these guys love to play for him. It probably will not be anything like I think but I would not be surprised to see Mt Juliet win but a couple of tds.
  14. Having seen both, I think Wilson Central is a little better. They have a strong defense against the run. Brentwood will have to throw the ball to keep WC from crowding the line and stopping the wing-t. Wilson Central is also not near as good in the secondary. Both have good kicking games. Should be a good close game but I think WC gets the W.
  15. Roundtree looked very uncomfortable last night and the turnovers killed WC. Mt Juliet defense rose to the occasion. Good luck to both teams. Where are all of the WC posters?
  16. No where close to 10000 at kickoff. Still a good crowd though.
  17. Coaches jobs I am hearing are on the line after a dissappointing year at Station Camp. This was supposed to be the year they turned it around.
  18. I hearing Crane is out and a huge package is being made for.....Rankin.
  19. I guess winning brings new fans to the T. I wonder how many will stick around because when WC is bad only about 2 post on here. Also whoever said certain players ran a sub- 4.5 are nuts. Need to get a good clock because I never saw that kind of speed.
  20. Having seen both, I feel Wilson Central definitely has a better defense while Mt Juliet has a better ground game. I give the edge to WC at Qb too. I think because of that Wilson Central wins in a close one.
  21. LOD, it isn't too bad at Riverdale. Just look at Gallatin. They are probably going to wind up 3-7 for the first time since 73'. At least we did beat Hendersonville though.
  22. This was a fun exciting game, but I just wonder how far Gallatin has fallen this year. Portland ran their version of the single wing really well. I was surprised at how fast their little running backs were. Nice fight all the way to the end but Gallatin just doesn't have it this year. Not good in several areas. It will be very difficult to get up for the season ending game. Congrats to Portland and their first win since 1966.
  23. Yeah, I never realized you could see the ridge line so clear. Hope for an injury free game and a Green Wave victory!!
  24. Well one thing for sure, with Portland being better than expected and Gallatin struggling, this makes the game very big and important. Playoff spot on the line. Hopefully one day before your son graduates he can be apart of a huge crowd at Gallatin with maybe the district title on the line. I hope y'all have a safe trip down to the game Friday. No injuries and a good well fought game. Looking forward to the game.
