AS a true Cherokee fan - we must not make fun of anybody else's football team. Just as a remindar - we are the worst football team in the history of th game. We own the longest LOSING streak in East Tennessee at 16 games and hold the state record at 26 losses in a row and more than likely will not win a game this year. So let's not make fun of anyboody. We stink until we prove otherwise. Your talk of other teams and how they are no good reminds me of Swafford and it's ot forget it is all is fault. The Kee's are going to break loose and the goal posts are coming down. The 16 game losing streak ends on Friday - Kees by 14. I hope we win b/c if we don't then we are going 0 - 10 again.

Who are the candidates to replace Coach Painter? Isn't Puleo's dad the baseball coach at WB. Will he have heavy influence in the decision on the coach? Any possibility on movement within the district to get this job? I thin kI heard that Puleo's dad is really close to another coach in teh district, not for sure who it is, but was wondering if that card would be played by Puleo to get the next girl's coach at WB. THey will always be at the top until someone knocks them off. I am sure that they will be a great basketball team until it is proven that they are weak.

The best freshman group in the state is South Doyle led by freshman senasation Cody Hawn. Zurcher. Hawn, Roberts, and many others should be making immediate impact.

TribeFan - I am glad that you got true hint of sarcasm. I think the only team that Coach Swafford will be leading, will be the PoDunk County Monarchs from Gooberville, USA. I wish you the best of luck in finding a great coach at McMinn. Tell mw more about the offensive and defensive schemes ran by Coach hutchins.

Rumor has it here in South Doyle land, that we will be simply trading coaches. Jim Swafford is rumored to be the front runner. He really impressed McMinn County in the playoffs several years ago. I mean he started 2 fights, cussed out the officials, and then wouldn't shake hands, but never fear, Coach Swafford apogolized and mended a lot of fences. I won't be surprised if Coach Swafford is soon again leading a tribe of Cherokees!

Last I heard, Hoard was not going to hire Meadows, supposed to let Martin know this week and Blount will have to go with their 2nd choice.

Couple of observations for you Farragut lovers that more excuses. AS I think about it, excuses are like behinds, everybody has them and they stink. 1) South Doyle simply outplayed you. The resaon why you guys foul so much, you play no defense and slap at the ball. THey alst time I checked, when you slap at the ball and you impede a players progress to the goal that it is a foul - plain and simple. 2) The reason why you never shot FT's is b/c your offense is Gibson shooting 3's and leak outs. No offensive concepts whatsoever. Gibson played well, but I believe that he can't do that on a consistent basis. 3) Dodgen was completely outcoached by Smith. If Coach Smith coached Farragut's talent, they would go to the State tournament. Tell Dodgen, who has coached for over 30 years and has over 500 wins, to please get a press breaker. That is simply uncalled for. South Doyle executes everything they do on offense and defense, there are no leak outs and flex offense for them. Also tell Dodgen to get some more Out Bounds plays - come on the same ones for the last 30 years, Coach Smith had those things defendes to the tee. Oh well I am sure you will some more lame excuses to throw our way, and I am sure you will be ready to play on the 28th. But just remember, talent alone will not get you anywhere.

Rebelsman - are you still predicting two significant spankings this week of SOuth Doyle. They whipped Farragut last night, so I am still guessing that you guys still don't think they can play at all. That's okay with them - they just add you to the list of non believers and after they win on Friday, we will be anxious to hear your sorry excuses, just like Farragut,

I totally support William Blount on this one. Coach Blevins is classless and he will do anything to cover his back side up. Here at South Doyle when we beat - he didn't shake hands with anyone, he just stormed off the court. Is this a true sign of a good coach? The only reason everybody thinks that he is a great coach, is b/c he has the best talent around year in and year out. I remember when he was the girls coach at South Doyle and only won like 5 games for the year - so I guess maybe since he went to Bearden and got all that talent he figured out how to coach. Remember, TALENT = GREAT COACHES! EVERYTIME! Lastly, two years in a row, the Bearden program has been bruised in January and February, when will their support dwindle and people start realizing that Blevins needs to go. He needs to go back to Bluefield College or back to Johnson County, or wherever he came from. I bet the new principal at Bearden doesn't like seeing her schools name flashed across the sports section and her coach having to defend himself for running up the score on somebody. She buy his story, but Coach Blevins all the other people see right through you - you are classless.

THe only reason to beat a dead horse is for pure pleasure Hey Govman, I am a supporter of SOuth Doyle and would you please let Coach Cupp that we got his message about calling us "clowns". Brett Conner - not enough body mass to play in college. Maybe walk on at Maryville, strictly to get his daddy's money Jody Fersner - must show that he can score a high level ona consistent basises. Starting to level off tremoundously and anybody would average 30 in that offense. ALbert HArris - not a basketball player, just an athlete in a town where there aren't many athletes. Maybe D - 2 or 3.

Must be talking about Shoemaker from the Knox Ridge assocaition. THe man is certifiable blind and still gets Varsity games. I think his association should just let him call JV and Freshman games. No wait a second - Knox Ridge Association; the worst in the state, with out question. Only teams to benefit from them - Oak RIdge. That whole association is awful.
