I would rather see us in the west just because of the media coverage and tired of traveling to Clarksville.(basketball, baseball, soccer etc.) Some new scenery would be nice. The main thing is we will be in 4A where we belong. This year we have more athletes than we have had in the last several years. We got beat by a 2A team that had a weaker offence than in the past. A Franklin team that was not as good at throwing the ball and weaker as well. We also lost to a good 4A team in Northwest. This group of Sophomores and Juniors will be able to compete with any 4A school. We should have some exciting years coming, the kids, fans and coaches need to keep in mind that we are young (only 1 senior on the D-line or O-line) and that the move will make a big difference. This may be a tough year, we still have Brentwood, Ravenwood, Centennial and Dickson County but there will be better days ahead.

Henry County did not play any first string against Huntingdon. Don't know why but they did not.

Soldier Field had great tradition with several hall of famers going through there .............but even they had to rebuild

We (HC)played at Rothrock several years ago (3). It was by far the worst visitor locker room we have seen. Kids were throwing stuff from behind up at the fans and other delinquints were cursing from beyond the fence at our fans. Having said that if you were on Milans schedule and they knew one game would be there they should have never scheduled JCM. Forget the tradition and get a new field

Croach, looks like Henry County may move to 4A in 05. That is better than the Z plan as long as we stay there. I for one am glad to move down, but there still is a few people in HC that think we can compete in 5A. We hope to get them help soon for their smoking problems!

If these numbers hold it will be a big boost to Henry County. We won't have to travel to Williamson County and we will get out of one of the best (if not the best) regions in the state.

Spencer is not playing varsity but will surely play next year. Henry County is loaded with Seniors and returnig starting juniors.

Bland accepted the job and at the last minute turned it down. The front runner now seems to be Joe Gaddis, I know he was here over the weekend. Hopefully we will know something by weeks end.

It is all about adjusting....play to play.....game to game.......year to year... If a Coach can adjust and not get set in his ways he can Coach as long as they want. Too often Coaches young and old learn one way to coach and stay with that mode of operation even to the point of failure. Just look to the college and pro ranks if you think age has an impact. ###### Vermeil has got to be pushing early 70s and as long as he is winning he will be able to coach.

Baseball does play at the highschool because grove does not have a baseball team. Basketball and footbll players can not participate at the highschool because Grove fields these teams. I agree with mustang69, most of the players don't get adjusted until they are seniors and it is too easy for a ninth grader at another school to elect not to play vs. quitting once you are part of a program.

Coach Webb will land on his feet and will be in Middle Tennessee more than likely. This may turn out to be a good thing for him and Leann. Henry County could take this bad situation and take advantage of a new beginning. If truehchsfan wanted to help the program instead of pretending nothing is wrong she could lobby the admin to (since she seems to be chummy with them or maybe she is one of them..hmmmm) ; 1. Petition TSSAA to remove Grove as part of our numbers and lower our classification. This can be done, I talked with an official and he said, if the school system truly wants a change they need to lobby for it and he felt like most would agree especially with the travel that we have to do. 2. Hire a qualified Coach and give him the support that is needed. re: assistant coaches and plenty of them Some in Henry County would prefer to live in the "Glory Days" and disagree with lowering the classification saying that we competed in the 80s. What they fail to see is that when we were competitive we were playing in a region that we could hold our own. 75% of the time we played schools the same size or smaller than us. In the current set up we have been playing schools the last 6 years that are larger than us 75% of the time. Henry County has never been successful playing larger schools, sure we have had some great classes come through and competed with large schools. We will never year in and year out be able to compete with the Brentwoods, Franklins, Riverdales or Germantowns simply because of our student numbers.

As yahoo210 said Cliff Curd and Paul Putman put in for the head coach, I don't beleive Coach Admas has, have not talked to him in the last week so he might have. I have heard that Counce was called but has turned it down as well as Ward in Camden. At this point I don't know of anyone with a proven record stepping forward. Rumor has it and again this is rumor that their were something like 20 applications that came in and got tossed due to expeience. As soon as I hear something for sure I will let you know.

First I will tell you that Coach Webb was lied to.... not a rumor but a fact. Truehchsfan , if that is what you are you should be concerned that the admin is not activley searching for a coach. Regardless of what they did to Coach Webb, if they wanted to turn this program around as I do, they would go out and target a proven coach instead of sitting back and hoping someone applies. Now as for liable statements, you know nothing, what I have said is the truth. If you want the truth go ask Coach Webb or someone in the admin, but you apparently do not know any of the truth or you would be as dissapointed as me in the admin.
