  1. CPA, congrats on a wonderful season and on a hard played ball game last night. seeing all goodpasture games this year, that is by far the best anyone has played us and there were actually times you had us on the ropes. ya'll have a great coach over there with coach Matthews and i hope to see him stick around with you guys in this area for a long time. his teams have been a joy to watch play in his three years there. once again, keep your heads up, you had a great season and hopefully you boys can produce again next year. hopefully we will do region five proud.
  2. wow.... i can't believe the amount of people that have nothing to do with either team that are already jumping the milan wagon. i guess people just can't stand a great thing. but if your looking to jump a band wagon thats gonna win, you might want to reconsider you choosing. i don't like to say that things are certain, but let's be real here. milan has played one team that anyone would say could play with goodpasture this year (Crockett Co.) the score of that game being 42-14 in favor of Crockett. i enjoy, as a Goodpasture fan, when everyone goes against us because we know then that we're doing something right. honestly our boys could care less if every soul on this planet picked them to lose because in the end it's nothing but a bunch of peoples predictions and it means nothing to the kids on the field. mike tyson said it best, "Everyone has a plan when they step in the ring, and then i hit them in the mouth." and that is exactly what the west tennessee boys our gonna see this upcoming friday. i hope for a fun game to watch, like last night, but i just can't imagine that happening. not ready to make a prediction yet, but i think everyone knows who i think will win.
  3. other than being really bored, i am a good, honest friend. so when my friends asked me if goodpasture would be able to pass the football if it came down to it i decided to tell find them actual numbers other than just say yes. so here they are. Starters Compared Conner Lowery (CPA) is 116/243 for 1977 yards and 28 touchdowns that is 8.14y/att - 17.04y/comp - 48% comp - 8.69 passes/TD Coleman Stroud (GCHS) is 36/68 for 1018 yards and 14 touchdowns that is 14.97y/att - 28.28 y/comp - 53% comp - 4.86 passes/TD Backups Compared Luke Romen (CPA) is 14/25 for 137 yards and 0 touchdowns that is 5.48y/att - 9.79 y/comp - 56% comp - O TDs Whit Mahan (GCHS) is 16/27 for 387 yards and 6 touchdowns that is 14.33y/att - 24.19y/comp - 59 % comp - 4.5 passes/TD I know that this seems like i have too much time on my hands and maybe i do, but instead of just bragging about our boys i wanted my buddies to be able to see numbers. goodpasture doesn't throw because they don't have to, not because they can't (just look at the #s)
  4. wow, this is a football board not english class, get that mess out of here.
  5. I'm not exactly feeling ya.... i have no problem with him being a finalist because that means nothing - but if he was to win it i would be very dissapointed with the decision made. i don't doubt his ability but i know very well the year that mark fisher has had (and he's a big time recruit as well) and if you give it to the best player this year, i have a hard time not giving it to him
  6. well if cpa doesn't say anything thing about their kicking game i will tell you that clay paul (goodpasture's kicker) is the man. maybe not the strongest fit ever but he puts a ton of the kickoffs in the endzone and is fairly accurate with field goals. i don't like to jinx extra points but he hasn't missed many since his freshman season
  7. without a doubt in my mind, one of the top ones if not the best is Glenn McAdams over at Lipscomb (and i'm a Goodpasture man). but if you ever take the time to look at the talent he has, it's not really that much especially in the trenches. every year however he comes out with his well disciplined boys fired up and ready to play (and usually win) even though in most big games they are easily overtalented by the opposing team.
  8. I figured such was the case. getting excited about the game over here, 35 hours and counting!!
  9. what does the caps lock on the team concept there at the end mean? certainly that isn't a stab at anything is it?
  10. how many legit recievers does CPA have. i mean how many can be the number one stud if others weren't there. i know two years back when goodpasture had patrick turner, that will cripps, austin tice, or kj beavers were capable of being the main man in a some what passing offense. does cpa have one guy they like to go to or are there more than one or two that matter. i remember ( i believe it was 21 ) was one guy you went to a lot, but lets say he isn't there, can anyone else pick up his slack or is it game over?
  11. i think your off your rocker, no one understands the situations that the small private schools are in so to you be yours and to us be ours but leave us alone and grow up
  12. well we here at goodpasture appreciate the respectable fans from LC like you, and we are thankful for the game that was played on friday and enjoyed hosting you guys. best of luck with everything from here on out and hopefully we can meet up again with you guys next here
  13. everyday when i leave the country club, i get in my mercedes and head back to my mansion on belle meade boulevard. i park it in the garage in between my viper and my hummer and go inside to ask the cook what he has prepared for dinner. he replies stuff duck with roasted almond green beans and rice pilaf with a nice sorbet for dessert. i then use my silver utensils to eat such a glorious meal before i go watch the news on my 250 inch plasma screen in the movie room. - who really gives a crap what we own or what we have, when we play football being a millionaire or being a beggar makes no difference. we put on the same pads as anyone else, play on the same fields as anyone else, and run the same plays as anyone else. silver spoons and mercedes have nothing to do with how we beat your team or any of the other 12 we have beaten this year. please understand that by saying we have all of this we understand that you are just jealous and upset that your team got beat and we won't hold it against you. so please quit talking about lewis county on this thread because cpa and goodpasture fans both would like to have a continued discussion about the game and you are well on the way to ruining that for us. so you can stop now, thank you
  14. would lohen be considered a better player for Sycamore than what garza was? just wondering
  15. probably to let goodpasture know that they can and will fake and make us have to practice and prepare for it. i'm sure it wasn't a smack in the face of Camden but rather an oppurtunity to practice it in a live situation where it doesn't matter if they get it or not and now people know they can pull up and fake if they want to.
  16. well this moron is laughing at you right now for your football stupididty and i will be after the game on friday (you can apologize to me then if you would like), your passing game will work against us again on friday - not as well mind you if the conditions were the same, but cpa has a decent passing game and will complete some passes (CPA's passing offense doesn't even complete 50% of their passes). but mark my words - GOODPASTURE will have yet another 500 yard+ evening in their victory if you don't believe me mr. largeandincharge, then come to 619 due west avenue on friday november 17th at 7 pm, have seven dollars in your pocket, pay to get in, and then eat your words AND THE FIELD WASN'T WET, NO RAIN CAME DOWN DURING THE GAME I WAS THERE THE WHOLE TIME, BUT THE FIELD WAS VERY MUDDY - SO DRY BALL AND NO REASON FOR GOOD PASSES NOT TO BE MADE, PICTURES ARE ON GOODPASTUREFOOTBALL.COM IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE - so let me know how those words taste this saturday
  17. you can get over it. i believe it is because of the talk that lc did that goodpasture wanted to make the game end like it did. the so called "onside kicks" were far from that, they were pooch kicks to keep the ball away from two very good return men because it got to the point were are kicker wasn't kicking it into the endzone and we didn't want them to touch the ball (also known as respecting their ability). one of the kicks was miss hit and only went 15 yards, sorry that happened but we teach our kids to be players and we they see the ball on the ground they are going to go for it, it's just how we play the game at goodpasture. Lewis County had a good season and a good team, don't let yourself say stupid things to make people on here forget your team for what it was and think of a bunch of whiners. to the true lc fans who have a good working brain - good game, good effort, and i wish you the best of luck in the rest of the sports this season and especially football next year. did you not read my comments on how the weather favored the passing game last time. you should and then you should consider deleting your inaccurate comment.
  18. as a goodpasture fan i don't know why anyone would be intimidated to play at goodpasture, we have a normal stadium with a quit crowd for the most part. but as for most intimadating stadium, i can remember in 2003 when macon played smith at macon in the third round. my family and i walked up at half and it sounded like neyland coming down the road - and your man with the fog horn was set up in his front yard at that time as well. it was a great highschool football game won on a end of regualtion 50+ yard field goal and then the posts wore torn down as the fans mobbed the field. awesome football atmsophere there at macon county.
  19. goodpasture fans, let's continue to support our team against cpa this weekend. understand that we have to win two more and so does alcoa before we get the chance to play each other. arguing about a rematch right now does us no good. if we get there and they happen to be there as well then we can see if they can beat us then because if we get there then no one has beaten us and maybe they can do what no one else in tennessee has. lets not worry about people that have no respect for us and already have begun letting us no how bad they are going to beat us. until we beat them in the boro, they can laim that they are the better team, but lets see what happens the rest of the year. my continuing prediction for the game is: goodpasture: 48 CPA: 21
  20. you would say that he deserved it over patrick turner??? as for backs i like jonathan shaub from lipscomb, shaka hill from goodpasture, terrance bell from huntingdon
  21. well machine, i would be scared of what we are up too as well - they should probably just start preparing for us now
  22. CPA lost the first matchup by 14 with 2 more turnovers than GP and no points on a drive that ended at the 6 yardline. - divepix these are your exact words, seems to me that these would be reasons to say that goodpasture out played cpa by making them turn the ball over and not allowing them to score, but thats just me
  23. also music city football, how are you worried about the valet parking at camden and then talking to your son the next day a player (i suppose) at goodpasture. i mean its good fun getting on here and stirring up stuff and making the games on friday more fun, but why in the world are you posing to be someone. i could care less if your a cpa fan or goodpasture fan because you and i don't matter a hill of beans as to who wins the ball game, but please pick a story and stick with one if you choose to make crap up.
  24. i didn't know that there was anyone at goodpasture as dumb as you
