If SC received a letter stating the player was eligable whats the hold up?!?! Gotta love the TSSAA! If SC's coach played the player without the letter he stated he received then all blame falls on him and SC's admin's should take a hard look at who they have as their head coach.

Congrats to the Raptors. Hate Franklin fell short but was glad to see them fight back from down 10 in the 4th qtr to take it to OT. A loss this late in the season can be a good thing if the coaches use it as a teaching point. Look forward to seeing how Franklin rebounds against a good Independence team this Friday.

First of 3 tough games in a row for Franklin. One heck of a way to finish up a season. I have no idea how the playoff picture works anymore but if Franklin does make it these next three games should get them ready for whats to come in the playoffs.

You can throw records and stats out the window when it comes to Franklin/Brentwood week. This game is the biggest of the year for both teams and no senior on either team wants to lose their last game in this rivalry! Should be a great game!

I agree with you that Franklin's 4-0 start is deceiving however their close win against DC was also deceiving. Franklin allow DC to stay in the game because of stupid penalties and undisciplined football. Granted this has been the only game I have seen of Franklin so far this year but if they can cut out the stupid penalties they would have won that game by a greater margin. Franklin has the oppurtunity to do good things this year but it is hard to measure them until they start the bulk of their district schedule.

Great to see Franklin at 4-0 but have they really played any decent competition yet? DC has been their closest game so far in what was a sloppy game from what I saw on Franklins part. This weeks game against LC should be a good test for the Rebels.

Couldnt have been more happy to see this game back on Franklins schedule this year. These games were always a classic. Cant comment much on current Franklin team because I have only seen em play on TV against DC but from I did see they were pretty even run/pass.

I am a little biased but IMO Franklin was the better team last Thurs. If it wasn't for Franklin committing stupid penalties the game would not have been as close as it was. DC's offense struggled for the majority of the night to move the ball and was aided several times by Franklin's defense/special teams committing penalties. DC played well and kept fighting to stay in the game but based on what I saw they did not have near as much talent on the field as Franklin. Franklin has a long way to go this year to be considered a really good team but I like the way DW has his team moving in the right direction.

I was impressed with Dickson Co. last night and how they continued to fight to stay in the game. Hats off to your seniors and coaching staff for keeping the players heads up and having them play an entire 60 min. Franklin will have to do a much better job executing and cutting out stupid penalties. 4 turnovers and 90+ yards of penalties will not win them many more games in this district.

Will be interesting to see how Coach Webb's system comes together in his second season. Looking forward to catching Franklin play at Indy and Summit this year (both close to new home).

Surprised to see Franklin not playing week 0... Any idea when the last time they didnt play week 0? Also, glad to see Lincoln County back on the schedule.

IMO Bwood will have to be more than one dimensional to beat WC. Should be a good first round matchup. Good luck to both teams and good health as well.

Indy runs away with this one early and Franklin will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2000... Problem with this season is DW was up a creek regardless of how he faired. If Franklin would have competed people would have said he did so with talent started by CC... With Franklin not competing well it’s easy for people to say Franklin's admins. made the wrong choice in firing CC. It has definitely been a disappointing season for Franklin but it is unfair to put all the blame on DW. Let's see what he can do with an entire offseason under his belt and see how his team competes next season.

He used to tell us at practice all the time about that team. He would tell us how they scored a point a minute that season! One of the best things about Granddaddy was his smile! There was never one person who he wouldn't stop and talk to and make them walk away feeling better about their day!

Franklin High School has lost one of its most legendary coaches this past weekend. Grandaddy passed away on Saturday at the age of 84. He has touched the lives of many young men and women who have walked through the halls of Franklin. If any of you have played Franklin you would know him by his suspenders and straw hat!! There are certainly no words to explain how much this man has meant to this community. Thoughts and prayers for his family and those closest to him.

Brentwood lost a good one. Always had a lot of respect for Crawford and his staff. Good luck to him at Cleveland.

Wish I could give a plus one on this from my phone! Rebel there are plenty of us who have love for FHS. We just are smart (most of the time) about what we say and can look at the big picture. People told you all week to watch what you said and that it would be difficult to beat Crawford twice. You predicted 21-0... Not only did you lose but you failed to even score 21 pts....

Your comments make you look ignorant... Week in and week out you talk about the D hittin and the O rollin and when you all have lost you make up childish excuses as to why. Franklin should pull out a W in this one but it will be much closer than your prediction...

according to radio, only turnover tonight was interception thrown by Franklin. penalites were high in first qtr but didnt hear much after that. I believe both teams missed xtra point

havent had much chance to pay attention to seeding lately. again, congrats to CHS. will this not be the first home playoff game in school history?
