  1. I do not know Allie B, but I do know of her times and I know what she looks like. If I'm not mistaken I saw this fine girl at around the 10.5 mile mark of the country music marathon that I placed 154 of 3020. I read Allie's comment that Sunday or Saturday morning....I thought it was genuine and one that could be read out of context....it sounded cocky but facts are facts...Allie and most of her friends are used to running very far in front...God bless her...she meant nothing wrong and even if she did she was not blatent with her possible sarcasism. To you BA fans, I could not have gone anymore out of the way to show love to Annie Santi when she left my restaurant in Green Hills last spring(and she was very cool...talking about Princeton and all)....I was just getting going as a runner and I had seen her perform at Doug Halls...she was a total "BA"...BA . I believe this Allie from HH is the kind of athlete who could be in Annie's class...or beyond (ALLIE IS AWESOME)...I understand the MBA coach said some stuff that was not cool...but this Allie is not only not uncool she is awesome...and I cheer for FATHER RYAN... I've got to tell it like it is...just like saying Annie Santi is creme de la creme when it comes to athletes.........BUT ALLIE JUST RAN 5:05 IN THE MILE....SMOKING.........GO IRISH

    BA Game Today

I don't doubt for a second that BA could have won both games...But I think the fact that they did'nt shows their weekness vs. last yrs. squad. On the other hand....with the Irish returning soooo many players from a good club last year, you've got to wonder about their offseason condtioning (or lack there of). Time to step up for all...we will see who is a very fine softball team, and who is just a good one....GO IRISH

    BA Game Today

I'm kinda wondering if Kerr is an MBA supporter trying to make us look bad (just kidding), (kind-of). Anyhoo, BA is an awesome softball program. I've seen 3 of their games in the last year and not only do those girl's look good but they kind of look intimidating (very confident). I've seen the mighty Lady Irish as far back as Rachael Hawkins vs. GPS for the title 2 years ago...FRHS is just a very special program....what they don't have in tallent they 10 fold make up in spirit...and they do have some talent. Props to Ezell Fan in this thread giving love to the afoementioned...Ezell is the Mack-Mommy (thought mommy would be more appropriate in this case) of Nashville softball...As a matter of fact, after hanging out in the Green Hills/Belle Meade area for so long...and hearing of the accolades of the HH's, BA's and FRHS's of the world...I must say when you look at the accomplishments of the Ezell's and say the DCA's of this beautiful city, their lack of attention inspires me to say they kick ---......GO IRISH _

    BA Game Today

Telling it like it is...HH is improved and may well win the region title. FRHS and BA are the favorites to take the plaque. PREDICTION...FRHS 1, BA 2, HH or BGA 3......GO IRISH
  5. After having to endure the sensitive nature of those on the v-ball and b-ball boards, I fully expect to handle myself well here all the way to chataHOOCHIE (and yes I partied A LOT in college). Wes Vols hit a sensitive spot with his analysis. He's probably right however....I saw the lady Irish a lot last season (including Chatta), and they grind and fight for what they can get. No reason for anyone to get too upset about the use of "smallball" or even "rudolph the red nose" (don't ask I could not explain). BA is an awesome program. If they beat FRHS they probably deserve to do so. Likewise, FRHSRULES. This year however, state may go to the "HOOCHIES"...ie GPS or B-girls.....enjoy the HOOCH.....Go FRHS and BA....improve and take it to everyone down south in May!!!!
  6. O.K., let's see...HH spanks Riverdale AND Ezell, not to mention Antioch. HH takes 2 of 3 against a senior laden and proud FRHS squad. HH beats a Briarcrest team in the STATE FINALS who has a star player who will play in the SEC next season via FULL SCHOLARSHIP. Hmmmmm....O.K. enough of that. I heard they got calls...Yeah, but they won with calls too. Mabey Briarcrest had won before getting the calls...Mabey...Uh, Definately we all have. Moving on...I've read posts about some at HH who know who I am...Like I did'nt know what I was doing...the students at HH ARE BEAUTIFUL and most especially those who may not be "deemed" pretty as some ARE BEAUTIFUL TOO!!!....as far as their coach, here's an even better c-ment...she reminds me of Gail G from Duke...and that woman is very nice. As far as this thread is concerned...after all this time and the culmination with your title....Uh...yeah, I think I'll show some RESPECT. And to be quite honest, I really wish I could have watched HH play, I think I would have loved to see the BB's Bo and Baker...much less the rest of the TITLE crew....GO IRISH.....congrats in beating an incredible TEAM for the region title...You deserved the region title. (this is my last post in this thread...thank you very little)
  7. Nightstalker is "controversial", but is he or she respectful?....stay tuned
  8. This post is to Wesvols....you boys have stepped up, I hope you get the title. BA is a tough school....GO IRISH
  9. Her team beat both D2 fianlists in briarcrest and Harpeth Hall. Her team beat Harpeth Hall (state winners) by 21 in the region title game. MVP speaking, I've got to go with Archie...Father Ryan
  10. Just got back in from Chicago and a VERY LONG ST. PATTY'S Day weekend....but I survived....HH won the title and deserved it. I can honestly say that i admire the HH program and most especially the girls. GO FRHS...hope you girls beat HH....Oh, and HH is the best in my opinion...EVEN THOUGH YOU LOST BY 21 IN REGIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Congrats to Briarcrest, you girl's are like the Lakers in that you step up when need be. FRHS, it's not like I'm gonna say anything that will make you feel better, but I'll still try. With all the BS that is going on in this "civilized" world you have to realize how blessed you really are. You made me very proud of you...I even have guys (in their 30's and 40's) at work asking me if Father Ryan beat Harpeth Hall. Since I graduated Ryan, like in 1927, the girl's sports have improved so much...and I dig that. Get to spring break, that will make you feel tons better. Oh, and kick butt in softball and lacrosse. And to Nancy Sisk and HH....WINWINWINWINWINWIN..........GO IRISH
  12. That was a great post Hoopfan 1, not that it means the Lady Irish even get through Briarcrest, but an intelligent post nonetheless. I will say this about that however, even though it seems The Tennessean writers' have all but given the championship to the honeybears, their presence at the season ending game at Ryan was probably in anticipation of an Irish victory. The next week after our region title victory, press allocation probably did not involve D2. Regardless, in my opinion the Lady Irish have not been given enough respect, and they have a lot to prove (to others, but not to me...they already proved themselves to me). I hope the Irish can take it to Briarcrest. I expect they (Briarcrest) will be quite ready...I hope the Lady Irish are ready to prove those who know less about them to be quite incompetent for at least not recognizing their season's accomplishments to this date. Oh, and by the way, that 5A Alabama team the Lady Irish almost beat earlier this year went undefeated and won their second straight state title (they have now won like 68 in a row). The 4A Atlanta squad that beat the Irish in a close one, won Atlanta's 4A region title....FRHS'S only other losses were at ECS (without Archie), and to HH in 2 O.T., and the aforementioned well earned victory for HH at Ryan. It would seem wether you worked for The Tennesean or the A.P., you could understand this a club more than worth mentioning...Go Father Ryan, SEE THE RACE TO IT'S END!!!!!
  13. Of course I love the Irish...but facts are facts...Mc is a good team. They beat us and deserve to move forward. I believe this FRHS team could have gone MUCH further...CHEMISTRY is one of the toughest classes in school.....CHEMISTRY makes the world go round....Right now, Mcalllie has...CHEMISTRY!!!!!!!!GO IRISH, congrats on your state wresteling title!!!!!!
  14. Brownhut, I did not get to go about 14 miles down the road to see my beloved Lady Irish...instead I chose to party some, as usual,(although I have a 13.1 mile race next saturday here in Nashville). Judging by the boards, the Lady Irish won, but not in the handy fashion they are accustomed to. I expected this somewhat judging the results of SBEC's schedule. They, to me, looked like the toughest draw in the first round. I really believe it will be Harpeth Hall vs. Father Ryan for the title. At this point...I'm just glad we at least beat the honeybears for Regions (6th in a row). Brownhut, I love talking with you...I loved hanging out with girls from your school when I was in Knoxville....hope to talk to you soon...GO IRISH...IN HONOR of you B-Hut....I promise to attend the semis in M-Boro on friday and give you a post...please hook me up with info on who I should look out for on the Saints...On Saturday morning at 8:00 A.M., I race the TOM King Half Marathon in downtown Nashville....then I hop in my car and drive to Chicago to party with my brother ( a professor at Depaul University)..for Saint Patrick's Day...In Chicago....It is a huge party...GO HUTCH... GO FRHS...I"ll be posting to all this Friday....till then...got to lose 3-5 more pounds just to tone up....HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE.........GOD BLESS [Edited by frhsrules on 3-9-03 2:48A]
  15. Sidetrain, you had me virtually in tears before I continued down the ladder of this thread...I eventually became so light-hearted I facetiously asked myself "what's a shortstop" and burst into laughter...You let me into your world, I let you into mine...God Bless and good luck...and if anyone could please comment on the Beech Playday results, with specificity on Father Ryan's team, I would be obliged. GO IRISH...(good luck to your shortstop)
  16. Very elaborate updates on the boy's board WV. Probably won't be at the games tomorow night although I think both could be more competitive than many believe. Good job scoring tickets for the game. Vandy is reeling, if they win coach Stallings deserves a lot of credit. I think, however, the Volunteers will eventually get through the endorphin rush of senior night...(hey, I think Vandy students are still on spring break....that might cut U.T. a break of it's own). Anyhoo....have fun and look cool for the ladies...speaking of ladies....BA, I know you will improve with what I have heard is a good new coach. Excellent job taking state #1 to what appears to be the 4th Q. To ECS, congrats but...if you get HH in the next round, they will be foaming at the mouth over your final score with BA, and running into a (honey)bear foaming at the mouth can be a fatal incident. Good luck to FRHS girls tomorow...I've been piping my horns about you since november. I predicted you would win region and state and that was after your first loss to HH. You've turned out to be a great team, stay focussed!!!!!! (how cool is that Alex French girl that won the spelling bee this past week....I'm constantly hitting SpellChecker.net...oh well, that's what I get when my only reading comes from the local sportspage)....GO IRISH, GO VOLS and yes, as usual edited by FRHSRULES due to spelling deficiencies...and yes I had to look up deficiencies...came close...OH WELL!!!!! [Edited by frhsrules on 3-8-03 12:42A] [Edited by frhsrules on 3-8-03 12:52A]
  17. I just wanted to chime in to wish coach Meyer the best...MBA is an outsanding program that will continue to succeed, best of luck to coach Meyer though.
  18. Good luck WES VOLS...go big O and go BA...uh, up until we see each other again!
  19. Checking your post and your identification as a Vandy student...let me say this about that chump. HH has really represented D2 this year as bold as anyone...HARPETH HALL BEAT RIVERDALE worse than Shelbyville DID. HH also spanked Antioch worse than anyone else did this season. Ezelle Harding is a very fine club...Harpeth Hall more than clubbed them in their second dance. Harpeth Hall to me by judging scores...looks like a top 10 in the state in any classification. Father Ryan High School has lost by 5 to St. Pius of Atlanta...their AAAA region champion team...lost in final minutes to one of Alabama's finest teams who was on a 50 game win streak at the time. Beat a very decent club in DCA 70-29 earlier this season...yeah sure, they got beat by Oakland....but with all due respect...Oakland is very good and Archie just got back from an injury...our only other two losses were to MIGHTY MIGHTY HH...and they are really good. SO in conclusion...I predict you are a former MBA boy who caught hold of this thread. You are venting over the fact we do not have much to play...YOU ARE RIGHT....but let me assure you...D2 girls on the top half KICK A--. P. S. and if you girl's on the bottom half want in....go for it....D2 B-Ball is UNDERATED!!!! Look for FRHS, HH, Briarcrest or THE EAGLES to win it all...GO IRISH!!!!!!! [Edited by frhsrules on 3-7-03 2:12A]
  20. Ya,Ya,Ya....the lady Irish are all this and that right now...but facts be facts...they have not won a state title in basketball. Even though FRHS got no media recognition from their victory, I'd say Harpeth Hall is still livid. Then we have to deal with Memphians...who can often step up and play very good ball. So let's think...FRHS does indeed advance...that is one heck of a start (if FRHS is focused...they can win the title game by 10-20).....Oh, and can anyone tell me and the rest of the crew on this website who plays who after sectionals?...GO IRISH...get to the BORO' [Edited by frhsrules on 3-4-03 12:48A]
  21. Well put Wes Vols. The irish got the plaque this weekend, but the real tourney starts now...Pressure on FRHS to defend...I think they will do very well. Memphis and Chatanooga teams will be huge factors.....this could be the best tournament in the state!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Way to step up defy gravity, if it makes you feel any better...I have a 2 inch verticle...your right...HH and FRHS will see each other again...they are one of the best rivalries in the state...hands down.....FRHS rules...but HH is much cooler than the "other side of the pillow"....that is VERY COOL. [Edited by frhsrules on 3-3-03 1:26A]
  23. FRHS just pulled off a stunner and the biggest stunner was that none of the aforementioned said a word....GO FRHS.....the real love is and always will be with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  24. did they play this weekend?
  25. "Stoked" I am...no green eggs and ...yeah you get the idea...thanks for the reply...FRHS girls kicked and will always kick butt...in honor of "behind the arc", one of the fine people on this website...I call out ...............UH....I'll save this for a seperate post...GO FATHER RYAN GIRLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
