Oh how easy it is to make all the right calls and coaching decisions from the sidelines after the game has ended. Bleacherbum, I don't agree with your choices for all district, which is the subject of this post. It's true that Brentwood had the most depth in the district with talent 9 to 10 deep which resulted in the best district record, but that does not mean that other schools in the district do not have individuals as talented as Brentwood. I am in total agreement with bigchief with his selection for All District. I'm glad that our district has coaches like bigchief that can see beyond his own school and have the ability to make the proper selections for All District voting. Bigchief I've enjoyed getting to know you better over the last couple of years and hope you get the talent you deserve in the near future. But as you know, coaching is about the kids and teaching them to be better players, even if they're not the most talented in the district. It's easy to win with talent, but to make it as a good coach you must be able to teach skills and attitude.

Hi, I'm the coach for the Xtreme Edge 18U and we've played the East Cobb Bullets a couple times in tournaments in Birmingham and Atlanta. They are a very good and well coached team. A great organization that used to have about three levels of teams at each age group with the cream of the crop making up their Gold or "A" team. Each team is a step up in talent, if a girl does not perform well she gets moved down. What I remember best is that they are a very good hitting team. In one game we started a pitcher that was a little slow with good movement, they hit her hard, so we went to our number one pitcher who throws hard mostly a riser they never missed a beat.
