  1. My pick at this point has to go to Gallatin's running back Jordan Mason. He has an incredible stat line through 2 games in the 2015 season: 71 carries 436 yards rushing 7 rushing TDs He also added 2 receptions for 60 yards and a TD last night versus Springfield.
  2. Its WAY to early for crowning a Mr. Football, but hey, thats what message boards are for, right? Post your early picks for Class 5A Mr. Football below. Be Sure to include stats if you can. Enjoy!
  3. The Green Wave has had Springfield's number for 30 years... Nothing changes tonight. Wave 31-17.
  4. Well Said Gwave1. I Hope The Wave Yard Is Rocking Friday Night. This Will Be The Biggest Game Gallatin Has Played In Years. The Win At Henry County A Few Years Back Comes To Mind.
  5. After An Impreasive Run In The First Two Rounds, Gallatin And Clarksville NE Square Off At The Wave Yard Friday Night. Lets Hear Some Early Thoughts On This 3rd Round Matchup.
  6. After the Wilson Central loss, i had all but chalked this game up as a Gallatin loss. But as wave88 mentioned, we have since found out WC is for real plus Gallatin has improved immensely each week. I think this game has the makings to be another down to the wire contest. Can't wait for Friday!
  7. Remarkable comeback last night by the wave. 30 unanswered points is a solid effort on any day! Keep it rolling wave.
  8. Does anyone have any info on Gallatin's Spring Scrimmages, times and loactions? Also, does anyone know the date for the Green and Gold game?
  9. I suppose there will be no reason for Gallatin to take up parking money on the vistors side of the stadium this week...they would only make $8.00 Green and Gold in both stands this week guys!
  10. Let the games begin... Who can shed some light on the Glencliff Colts this season. Offensive and Defensive scheme, players to watch, etc? What are your predictions for this throw back Region 5-5A matchup?
  11. I like to think I am one the most objective football fans out there; however, this game was the most poorly officiated I have seen...ever. On the Janario Perry TD catch in the fourth quarter, Perry was interefered with while the ball was in the air AND there was a blaten face mask after the ball was caught. Somehow he still caught it and dragged the defender 10 yards into the endzone. Exhibit B: Gallatin's Darrian Banks breaks around the end on a 3rd down deep in Wave territory, a play on which he would still be running BUT it was blown dead??? Still can't exlplain that or how Beech was not called for the obvious face mask on the same play!!! Exhibit C: Gallatin (in punt formation) fakes it on 4th and throws to a streaking TE over the middle AFTER the ball is caught and #86 is 30+ yards downfield, the line judge throws an inelligable reciever penalty. Watch the tape, #10 comes off the line, motions from right to left and lines up off the line of scrimmage, thus #86 is eligible!!!! I could go on but you get the point. By the way, to hopefully silence to assured Beech doubters, Gallatin had an obvious late hit out of bounds on the Beech sideline in the 3rd quarter as well, bottom line, terrible officiating. Hope to see the Bucs again in the 3rd round (it won't be this close next time)
  12. Another interesting tidbit: Mt. Juliet opponents this season have combined for a total record of 8 - 21. (38% success) Just a stat, guys, just a stat
  13. Tomorrow Night!!! It looks like the weather is going to be perfect with temps dipping into the upper 40s by the end of this game! Its gonna be a great night for a great game. I get the feeling this one might have some of that same electricity as the Gallatin Mt. Juliet games of old!
  14. This one has all the makings of a classic down to the wire all out brawl. Gallatin comes in to this game having played a tougher schedule than MJ but there is no arguing that MJ has put up more attractive stats in the games they have played. Gallatin will have to focus on the full back for Mt. Juliet but cannot fail to guard the pitch man like they did against Brentwood. Is this game a 7:00pm kick? Either way I'm gonna get there when the gates open! I'm guessing there will be an outstanding crowd. Mt. Juliet faithful better get there early if you don't want the Wave fans to take over your home side
  15. Just to add a little more of a team comparison (not that these stats mean much): Average Points Per Game: Gallatin 31.5 Mt. Juliet 43.6 Average Points Allowed: Gallatin 15.6 Mt. Juliet 16.8 Common Opponent (Lebanon): Gallatin 41-0 Mt. Juliet 38-13 Even on paper this looks to be a premier match up!
  16. I usually don't buy into the whole revenge factor thing when it carries over into another season, however, Gallatin got absolutely embarrassed last season by Brentwood. Considering the majority of the Wave squad played in that game, I would find it hard to believe they have forgotten...The Wave will be ready tonight!
  17. I would agree with the statement that this could be a trap game if this wasn't SC. I don't think the Wave will have any trouble getting up for their in town rival. This game is circled in red every season. These kids played mid state together, some played middle school ball together and now they want to beat each other!
  18. Gallatin has made it a point in each of the first three games to find a way to steal a possession or two early on and jump out to a quick lead. That will be vital for the wave friday night. Oakland isn't the type of team that will lay down, but an early lead could be the deciding factor in a match up of two excellent defenses.
  19. Gallatin is owning the devils at halftime 27-0. Unofficially, the wave has held the devils to -5 total yards of offense!
  20. With Gallatin being down several players with the suspension, this could be a very interesting match up. Gallatin is strong on both sides of the ball but will the suspension set them back too far? Can anyone elaborate on wilson central this season?
  21. I'm confused about this post. You picked Gallatin last week which would indicate you thought they were the better team less than a week ago, but now you are picking Hendersonville this week because "they are the better team". What in last week's game caused this change of heart? I for one, would have picked Hendersonville last week but now feel quite confident Gallatin is superior. After all, the only battle Hville won last week was the turnover battle. Just an observation.
  22. I can't wait to see those stadium lights come on at the Wave Yard! Its been too long. GO BIG G
  23. This is an interesting matchup. To be quite honest, I'm not sure anyone knows just what exactly either of these teams have one week into the season. MJ played a sub par at best McGavock team and shut them out, all the while turning the ball over left and right. Meanwhile, Gallatin played an outstanding Canton Ohio team and got beat by a decent margin. Yet, the Wave accounted for alot of Canton's scoring by coughing it up inside their own territory. If either team turns the ball over as much as they did in the first game, it will be a runaway for the opposing team. However, I expect to see the mistakes cleaned up on both sides this week and thus an excellent football game at the Wave Yard!
  24. GAME DAY!!!!!! I think it is awesome that the Patriot fans are coming over to Sumner Co. tonight to cheer on the Wave. I have never met a classier bunch of fans in all my years of high school football. Get there early guys, it is goin to fill up very early. This is going to be a matchup for the ages! Gallatin has the emotion on their side but Beech has been steam rolling opponents since these two last met. I absolutely cannot wait for this game! GO BIG G
  25. In most cases, i would agree that if a player gets alot of his yards on one or two carries that it isn't as attractive, but when he is ripping off one or two huge ones every single week, you can't discount that yardage. That is the kind of runner Perry is. You might bottle him up for a while, but sooner or later he is going to juke you right out of your shoes and the next thing you know he has five steps on the closest defender.
