  1. Agreed. This is Jay Salato, ex-FRA Panther. Even though we had some intense battles, I have always respected Andrew House as well as the other CPA Lions. What a class group of guys! Congrats on the season. After our guys lost, I was cheering for y'all to win it all. I'm sorry it didn't happen, but thanks for the memories. It was an honor to play against you, Andrew. Otherwise, good luck next year to everyone else.
  2. I hear Unaka has 10 players that play regularly, subbing in and out at will. If this is true, their depth may be a problem for FRA. Is this true?
  3. What about that game implied that FRA couldn't "hang" with physical defense? The final score? 58-43. I think they hung with the physical defense pretty well. Maybe that's the way y'all can play in your district and region, but against, yes, "disciplined" teams like FRA and CPA, it doesn't work. Proof: CPA 88 Wayne County 74. FRA 58 Summertown 43.
  4. Haha. "A lil body bump" That's funny because the last time I checked the rules of basketball that wasn't defense. In fact, "a body bump" is more often than not considered a foul. Good thing for Summertown that the refs let them play, or else, they would have had 28 fouls in the second half rather than ONLY 18. FRA finished the game with 3 second half team fouls, and Summertown didn't score a point in the first six minutes of the fourth quarter. Maybe that was good defense. Just an observation.
  5. Coach Glen Tackett of FRA is a pretty good coach in his own right. Congrats, Coach! I believe this is his first trip to Murfreesboro as a head coach in 34 years of coaching. I can't think of anyone who deserves it more.
  6. Yes, you are right. CPA is one of if not the best teams in 1A. I'm very happy for Rockwood. I've seen them in baseball in state for many years. They are a classy group of players and fans. However, I am happy that you are happy to have gotten to state because (with all due respect) you will not be advancing past the first round. As a non-biased fan, I must say that any team, not only Rockwood, will have to play out of their minds to play in the same gym as CPA.
  7. I feel sorry for whoever gets in CPA's way on their way to the title. The only team that has given CPA a game recently has been FRA.
  8. Coach Ken McDonald of Franklin Road Academy is undoubtedly one of the best soccer coaches in the area, not to mention a classy individual, which is hard to find these days. Pulling double duty as girls and guys head soccer coach, Coach McDonald has taken a mediocre soccer program at FRA and placed both the girls and the guys teams at the top of District 9A, competing at the state level annually.
  9. They will lose 3 seniors, Midfielder Michelle Street, Forward Anna Black, and Fullback Ashley Martin, all starters. But they have alot of talent coming back, and you never know what can happen when a team gels. I'm sure many people didn't think they could do it this year, especially with a slow start, but they came together well. It's gonna be hard to deny a special team like this one.
  10. I am the Coach of Ridgeway High and i agree FRA played a great game. They have so much heart and intensity. Congratulations to all the members of that team and to their coaching staff. It has been an enjoyable run in A-AA. We move up to AAA after this year. From our team to the ones we competed against thank you. You have showed A-AA is a division to be proud of. See Ya You, sir, are a class act. I must say I was a little shocked that some of your girls chose not to shake hands at the end of the game, but I definitely noticed which ones did. Looking back on the situation, it was a very emotional game, and being dissapointed is understandable, especially for seniors. But for you to come out and say that about our FRA team was very classy. You have a great team, and good luck in AAA next year.
  11. Hey Chixian, maybe I was caught up in the moment. It took alot for you to admit you were wrong on your picks, but I guess it would have been hard to say you were right. That's why we don't make predictions, and let the play shake out on the field. I understand they were for fun, and that's all good. But still, you say that FRA pulled off some "upsets" Well, maybe they don't look at those wins as upsets. That's precisely why this team is so special. They believe they can beat anyone, and I wouldn't put it past them. This is one awesome team!
  12. The Franklin Road Academy Lady Panthers, in the most exciting game EVER, defeated CCS in two sets of penalty kicks. As a fan, I must say it was a rollercoaster of a game!! The CCS fans, players, and coaches conducted themselves with the utmost class. In the end, the Lady Panthers overcame ALL odds...even those placed on them by the referees (HORRIBLE!) and chixian, an "intelligent" soccer fan on this message board who predicted a ridgeway win in "no contest" by "at least 2 goals" wow, was he wrong!!! Congrats, champs!! We love you!!
  13. Contrary to most predictions, the winners of the semifinal games were Chattanooga Christian School and Franklin Road Academy. Scores: CCS 2, CAK 0 FRA 3, Ridgeway 0 Looks to be a great game tomorrow night. Any predictions?
  14. hmm good question...maybe they didnt score as many goals as fra did
