The two threads concerning the up-coming AE/Fulton game have been merged together to keep all the talk in one central location.

In order for AE to make it to Murfreesboro their offense has to do more throwing the ball. If AE Gets past Seymour & Fulton past LC. This will be another exciting game like last season.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Region 2-3A sweep Region 1. Seymour vs. Kingston and Lenoir City vs. North will be 2 good games. We all know what Fulton will do to Pigeon Forge, and the fate of Union County playing at Dusty Lennon.

Powell is a big physical team up front. They really like to run it and then set up the pass to their TE #6 Smith.

I just think it's kinds bizarre how this game has a bearing on playoff lives of a BUNCH of teams. Carter vs. Halls has an effect on Regions 3-4A, 1-5A, and 2-5A 3-4A If Knoxville Halls wins, Knoxville Halls is fourth. If Knoxville Halls loses, Knoxville West is fourth. 1-5A If Karns wins, Jefferson County wins, and Sevier County wins, Karns is second, Sevier County, Campbell County, and Jefferson County are tied for third with 4-3, 6-4 records. It goes to the second tiebreaker. In the second tiebreaker if Knoxville Halls wins, Sevier County is third and Jefferson County is fourth. If Knoxville Halls loses, Morristown West wins, and Morristown East loses, Sevier County is third and Jefferson County is fourth. If Knoxville Halls loses, Morristown West loses, and Morristown East wins, Campbell County is third and Sevier County is fourth. If Knoxville Halls loses, Morristown East wins, and Morristown West wins, then it goes to the third tiebreaker. Sevier County is third and Jefferson County is fourth. 2-5A If Hixson loses and Knoxville Halls or Karns lose, Ooltewah is second, Soddy Daisy is third, and Farragut is fourth. If Hixson loses and Knoxville Halls and Karns both win, you go to the third criterion. Soddy Daisy is second, Farragut is third, and Ooltewah is fourth.

Halls has to beat Carter. If Carter beats Halls then West is #4 in 3-4A. That would put them all tied up with the same region record, and head to head is tied, so they go to Overall and West is 6-4 If Halls beats Carter, Halls is #4.

Former Carter Coach and Principal Bob Pollard passed away this weekend. Coach was beloved in our community. Pollard served our community and our school for almost 40 years and will be missed by all.

After watching them both play this year I'd give the nod to Helton over Watts.

Rezoning in 97 didn't hurt any either.

Our Band doesn't play Rocky Top (THANK YOU!), but they do play that GO GEORGIA BULLDOGS Thing (which I HATE ). Also, our band plays TEQUILA about 60 times a game for the last 3 years. I've had enough Tequila let's try something else. They are going to play at the NOKIA Sugar Bowl this year so they must be doing something right.

Is there any question that the state championship game will be played between two 3-4A teams? I mean no one in Region 1 or 2 can sniff Maryville. In region 3 there's Central who will be the best competition for Maryville all year and then there's Region 4 and nobody in that region can hang with the Rebs. I wonder who's lurking in the Mid-State and the West-State? For you doubters Yes, they are that good.
