boorelly-You seem to know alot about Graham. Are you Graham? I agree that you have to sell other coaches on players that have potential. Many times players are taught things, as well as coached, and become better, but isn't that your job with all the players. You apparently did well with EB, but he has went on to other things and places, please don't call him out. He is a great kid.

Maryville vs. Halls I don't give Halls much of a chance here. Halls can not afford to lose much more. Could be much like the Comcast game between Maryville and Carter, real one sided. Maryville by 42 Central vs. West This is gonna be the battle that might decide the regions 2nd best team. both teams very versitile, but the team with the better defense is gonna come out. Sorry Central , West by 6. Powell vs. Morristown East This might be a pretty good game. I do give Powell the advantage ( huge line). Although it did not help against Webb. Campbell Co. must have improved this year to have beaten Morristown East last week. Predictions were that this was the year for East to finally beat West. Not if you get beat by Campbell Co. Powell by 10. Clinton vs. Carter Both these teams took a beating, a very embarrasing beating during week #0. Carter must have bounced back to hold the extremely quick and talented Fulton Falcons. While Clinton has a firey new head coach, they have lots of work to do. Should be a pretty good matchup for the struggling teams. Each team is fighting to get out of the basement and into the win column. Carter by 12

I don't know for sure, but I think he felt ________-on by Helton when Helton had the defensive coordinator call offense too during the games Helton missed last year. It was like he did not trust him. I think many felt that way.

I think that the past two years that Fulton has had success has brought on massive transfer of athletes to the Falcon camp. They have always had some pretty good athletes, but success has doubled it.

I don't think that Central realizes how skilled that WB is. Meadows is a great coach and does well with great athletes. He is worth 21 points more per game as most coaches with the same team.

How will the Region fair. during week #1 1. Maryville will defeat Alcoa 42- 21 2. Carter will lose to Fulton in a closer than expected game. 3. Halls will lose to Sevier Co. by 21 4. Central will lose to William Blount by 7 5. Clinton will get beat by Oak Ridge, but former friends will take it easy on ex-wildcat. 6. Powell will once again lose to a team with better athletes. tennstar33-are you still calling for Halls to change the offense? Last year you stated several times that the offense should be changed. How is it going so far from what you've seen of the Halls Red Devils?

90% of these times have been hand times. You always add .2 seconds onto a hand time. Many Senior camps do pro timing and that is when you tell if someone is fast or not. If it gets the coaches at the camps attention, you will know that you are fast.

I find myself agreeing with BIGCAT2, when he said that Halls has so many kids that mature young, and do so well up to the middle school level. In the 7th grade they are 5'6" and 135 lbs, which is big for 7th grade, but never get any bigger. I am not at all putting down the Halls players or the community. That is just what I've seen over the past several years.

Several people have come on to CoachT and said they have so many talented athleles that are not playing football, I am just really curious to why they would not. I have not seen the basketball team play yet, but continue to hear how athletic they are. Have they started interviewing yet for football?

Why haven't those talented athletes that run so deep been playing football?

How much time should a coach be given to turn his program around? Is 5 years long enough, how about 15? What could a person do to help a program develop into a winning program? What are teams like Halls, Powell, Farragut, Bearden, Webb, Carter, South-Doyle, Karns, Gibbs, and Knox West doing to come out of the slump they are in? Football is about good athletes, good coaching, and players believing in the staff. Of the KIL schools what are some problems each school is having? Once again I am not at all trying to cause any disturbance or hard feelings, but what is the Gibbs coaching staff doing to keep their jobs. Not that anyone would do anything any way. They have not been successful in the past 10 years, what are they doing different now. What has to happen to get them in the above 500 range?

They will soon be moving up to 4A football, as well as AAA basketball, baseball, track, etc. What is the current coaching staff doing to make sure they are going to win in region 2-3A next year. Do they have a chance against Fulton, AE, Anderson Co., Kingston, Lenoir City,or Scott Co? Will they be able to compete with Region 3-4A in 2005 against, Knox Central, Halls, Powell,Morristown West, Clinton, Carter, and maybe even Maryville, or Knox West? One other person said all the players were playing baseball, and basketball. Why has the football staff not been able to get these athletes out. I know that Randy Carroll works hard, and his staff does as well, but until you are competitive in your region then people are gonna be on your tail. Many have said how it could not get much worse than it did with Catlett, but the last 5 games without Catlett looked like backyard ball. No I would not even call it that. If Shultz was coaching or Jim Davis, whoever was doing it needs to give the money back because, because they were getting paid to coach and basically they just stole the money. When Shults or whoever was coaching there seem to be even more confusion. Hire someone from outside the program. That is if you want to be successfull.

Why would Bill Wilson want to coach again. I guess it is the one time a coach has a chance to make money. Retire from one place and go to another. That might effect his state retirement though. I don't think that would be good for him. Chait might be the one that applies.

We have to coach a different kind of kid today. That I see is the problem. If you can't learn to deal with today's kid then maybe you need to change. It would be nice to have all those kids like we had 20 years ago, that played no mattter what, but we don't. Either learn to deal with today's kid or get out. Apparently Fulton, AE, Central, and Maryville, and many others have it.

Where is Nothwest? Are they not in West Tenn?
