  1. After tragically losing to the Collierville Lady Dragons 3-2 on Cinco de Mayo, the Germantown Lady Red Devils rebounded on May 6 by whooping the Houston Lady Mustangs 7-0 . Tomorrow, the Lady Red Devils will face their rival Collierville, once again, for the district title. Good luck Lady Red Devils!
  2. Until today I had no idea that Germantown handed the number 6 team in the nation (Congratulations Farragut) their only loss. Goodness to Betsy....that's crazy!
  3. Well, with new coach Joey Nesbit taking over for Phil Clark, many didn't know how productive Germantown would be this year. So far they have been successful ...They have won 29 and lost 8. This last weekend they beat the pesky Collierville Dragons 7-0 in District play and now they crawl towards a galatic showdown with their archrivals the Houston Mustangs.... ! Good luck y'all!
  4. It should have read "One of the best high school....." not "One of the better high school" because you are comparing many high schools not just two. English lesson for the day...........YEAH!
  5. yep, she is..........such a sweetie.......!!!
  6. After winning an exciting game against the Collierville Dragons on Tuesday night, the Germantown Lady Red Devils stormed back into action against the ferocious Lady Wildcats out of Bolton High. In the bottom of the fifth Germantown scored two runs and outmatched Bolton all the way to the seventh.......and last inning. Germantown defeats the Dandy Dozen number 2 Bolton!
  7. In an exciting softball event today, the Germantown Lady Red Devil softball team defeated the Collierville Lady Dragons 5-4 in 7 innings. In the top of the fourth Collierville was winning 1-0, then Germantown made it 1-1. In the 5th Collierville bounced out to a 3-1 lead and Germantown scored two, making the score even at 3-3. In the bottom of the sixth Germantown scored twice off two doubles to make the score 5-3. Then in the seventh...the Lady Dragons scored one run....but it wasn't enough.........Germantown defeats the Dandy Dozen number one Dragons 5-4..............WOOOHOOO! 8. Little Mr. LordInfamous.......... Um, okay, on April 5, 2003 I corrected my Special Education moment and put that it was StudentSports that ranked Germantown #46, then #42, and then finally, fell out So, bazammmmmmmmmmm!
  9. Well, let's see..........I believe you must look at the Classification of the school to truly know. Take Briarcrest, for example. Yeah they have been to the finals the past five years and won it this past season but honestly there are better teams in Memphis (no offense to my homedogs at Bcrest!) Personally, I believe Germantown has had the most productive past five seasons......(in Memphis obviously because we haven't been to the 'Boro). 1998--------Great season.......BEST OF Times beat houston 1999----------not so great........but fun beat houston 2000-------------8-3.........dirty season, lost in first round to cdova.....beat houston 2001---------10-3, nasty houston losses, but overall good 2002--------13-1, GREAT SEASON, 42ND IN COUNTRY AT ONE POINT, BUT LOST IT ALL TO THOSE PESKY BRUINS.....SEMIS.....WHOOOP WHOOOPPPP!!!!!!
  10. Only to the add to the effect, monsueir..... GO FRENCH! I take French in high school........lol!
  12. Ummmmmmmmmmm. ooooooooooooooopsiessssssssssssss.my fault..............such a re-re! I meant Student Sports.............blonde moments with peroxide

    USA Classic

Germantown got their freak on and whooped up on some Florida booteeeeeeeeeeeee! Go RED DEVILS....... Back-to-Back USA Classic Champions! 2002 & 2003!!! 2001 Classic Runner-up.... 2001 State Champions.......2002 # 4, 5, 14, and 42 in the country, at different times. The tradition continues...................................
  14. Ummm..... if you are going to even spout off about Memphis teams Germantown should be included if you include Houston and Whitehaven. At one point last season Germantown was 42nd in the StudentSports poll for high school football (of course until tragedy betook us at 9:00 PM, November 29, 2002). WE beat Houston and Whitehaven by a total of 117-24 last season (we faced Whitehaven twice). Although Germantown will definitely not have the same talent and depth.....you can expect the Red Devils to put up a great fight. P.S. Abe Felix will be leaving the Houston Mustangs and thus, Houston will not be nearly as potent next season. [Edited by houstonsdead on 4-7-03 8:37P]
  15. Dena Dodson, yeah.....she's the best ever!
  16. Germantown slapped the Lady Mustangs tonight as the Lady Red Devils improve to 12-5! Look for the Red Devils to be a contender for the first time since 1985! [Edited by houstonsdead on 4-2-03 6:55P]
  17. Okay, first of all..... it was close upandin.......it's not like either Germantown could not have won, kay! Houston hit well in the 8th, wow, and they won.......so....Gtown was actually leading y'all.......so sit it down and park it up........

    Germantown

Um.....okay actually....all people in general live on history considering it is the origin of whence we came. Secondly, I made a mistake by putting Kyle Norrid on there, okay, Mktgmanperson. Coach Clark is gone, so what. That is not a reason to throw in the towel. We can compete with Houston. Cordova beat Houston 5-1, Germantown beat Cordova 8-7. Therefore by the transition property Germantown has the capability of defeating Houston. eat it!!! [Edited by houstonsdead on 3-24-03 3:25P]

    Germantown

Okay, I'll tell you exactly what Germantown has this year! After faltering last year when ranked in the top five in the country by USA Today, Germantown knew they would have to recover. With a new coach, Joey Nesbit, Germantown has to build off players with less high school experience than before but still has a great program. Seniors Kyle Norrid, Drew Smith, Matt Zakrewski, Derek Chapman, Preston Burleson, Jarrod York, Wes Melton, and Alex Kliman will lead the way for the Red Devils. Germantown has numerous underclassmen whose brothers played last year and in the years before. Watch out, could be a suprise team in 2003!
  20. Sorry Opperman, but as a Shelby County resident I am forced to correct you on one thing....... White Station has brought home two consecutively (in a row) because Fairley upset them in 2001 during regionals. However, they did win in 2000....so that would make it 3 out of the past 4. Bartlett won the 2001 state title.
  21. GERMANTOWN 10..... SMYRNA 7
  22. Just wondering who won the Germantown-Oakland matchup today!
  23. just wondering what the score was.............
  24. Hey, I don't really care about wrestling but I thought I would correct slingshot on his spelling. The word "pacify" is not spelled like "passify".......just thought I would help you out.
  25. what is coach robertson like, he teaches world history at our school and a lot of people say he is nice but will he be a good coach for Germantown......... seriously...
