Don't know the man or his work but it sounds like the inference is that he is not a true reporter, unbias and factual, but because he is so loyal to the team he is actually an editorial or opinion writer. The example cited here "Ones Mans Trash is Another mans Treasure" apparently about Shelbyville sounds like an opinion piece.

Has anybody lost to Eagleville yet? Take a break on the fact they didn't have their starting qb. Forrest put up 14 points in the first and just sat on it the rest of the night. The defense was all over Eagleville starting qb or not.

I don't know about the sub 4.4 but he is fast. With that being said why would Coach Stacey start a Freshman over a very fast and experienced Senior?

Thats why nobody from either of these schools started this thread. Both these schools have great respect for one an other and neither are going to go this way.

I believe the reference and the compliment was to NC from last year to this year. If I remember Forrest put 70 on NC last year. Good game both teams. Forrest you have to quit giving those zebras a reason to throw that flag.

Who plays or doesn't play doesn't really matter. If Eaglevilles players get themselve kicked off the team thats not Forrest's problem. You get one shot a year and the team thats on the field is the one you got. Forrest has had plenty of players hurt at times and it doesn't matter. This isn't woulda, shoulda, coulda. The record stands. And if you really think Eagleville's defense shut Forrest down after they went up 14-0 in the first quarter, well, nevermind, just keep thinking it.

I would figure Forrest would be tough for you guys to get a handle on this year. They crushed a first year team 36-0 in just one half of play. WWH was a good game but I didn't really sense Forrest was in danger of losing it and Eagleville....well I want my money back. After standing in line almost the whole first quarter to get in, Forrest goes up 14-0 and just sits on it for three quarters. Most boring game I ever watched. Their defense just punished Eagleville. I understand not showing everything you have since everyone gets film but come on...put two more scores on the board and let the underclassmen play. I take Forrest over Nashville Christian by a touchdown.

Sounds like you got it right. Looks like they were hoping to get someone to pick it up figuring no return was set up and they would either cause a fumble or at least get the ball further down field than their punter would.

I can't believe after 40 plus games and Forrest literally spanking the district that you don't think every coach in the district didn't know about this girl and knew she was eligble. I'm sure someone has asked the TSSAA at some point this year.

I'm always very careful when stating how hard a pitcher throws. Saying a 15 year old girl throws in the low 60s is like saying a 15 year old boy throws low to mid 90s. Check what the college girls are throwing, the 19, 20, 21 and 22 year olds.

I'm confused. Why would a team with a winning record be more underrated than a team with a terrible record making an upset.

But if he was given an error then the offical scorer (and I assume it was not from either team) is contradicting what everyone else is saying, well not everyone else. And if he was calling off the left fielder then it must have been routine. Wasn't there don't know just putting posts together and analizing. Another thing that puzzled me and this may have happened but, someone posted that Coach Hardison had to be calmed down and restricted to the dugout. Very uncharacteristic of Coach Hardison. In fact I would say he doesn't get up in the umpires butts enough. I hope these two play again so they both go to region. Good luck to both teams.

No I'm not trying to stir the pot. I was just commenting on what goes on all the time between these two schools. Both sides get too carried away sometimes and alot of times posters add things that didn't really happen just to make one side or the other look worse. Good luck to both teams.

I didn't see it so I can't judge, but I have a question. Both these programs teach very sound fundamental baseball. If this ball was the left fielders ball why wasn't he calling off the shortstop to make a easier play? If the left fielder could get to the ball he has all the advanges. Easier catch, better visablity of the ball and the field, baserunners etc. Was it really the left fielders ball? If so why didn't the shortstop let him have it? He did drop it right? He just lucked into a play.

Didn't see the game. I am a Forrest fan, but this is typical of what goes on between Forrest and Cascade in any sport. Its been my experience that usually the situations aren't what is written in these posts. And of course we have to add classless and say how little some coaches know about baseball. Last year we didn't hear alot from Cascade Fans during baseball, even when their biggest fan was run out of Forrest by the umpire before the first inning was over. Is it because Forrest dominated last year. This year Cascade has a good team (they were good last year also) so now here come the "classless" remarks again. Can't just leave it on the field.
