  1. Hey Beave, This post is really stupid, I agree, however when we look at your alma mater against common opponents, it "ain't" to swift. Gibson Co., how does Westview lose to Gibson Co., and Milan beat you by 10 the day before they beat D'Town. Yet, if the Skyhawks can get to .500, then it could be possible for the Lions. Monday against South Fulton, the Lions will go for their first district win since 1999. It should be interesting, and if they pull it off we can listen to Gwin Cry.
  2. Hey Purple Dog, Last time I checked you are beating almost everybody by 10 in five, so don't pick on the Single A teams on your schedule when you have one of the best AA teams in the West state.
  3. Dresden is still weak, however, the talent level will increase with this years freshmen class and the two classes behind them. The Clements kid, however, is the real deal and has as much talent as any freshmen pitcher that I've seen in a long time. If you want to get technical the kid keeps the ball down, throws hard and keeps the ball on the infield. The problem with this is that the infield is as weak as any team you will see. Against Halls and Gibson Co. Clements kept them in the game, but your middle infield can't have seven errors every time out. So don't be scared of Dresden, but you better prepare for them and be ready to play.
  4. Brandon 2006 has entered the realm of Yoda (DyerC0.) and SFFAN (South Fulton). This is the realm of the idiots who come in and post total garbage, and really have no clue. Therefore, ignore everything that he says.
  5. TOP TEAM: USJ, USJ, USJ, USJ!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. That says a great deal about the quality of the public schools in Chattanooga, and teachers for that matter.
  7. Another public school falls to the wayside, GO GREENFIELD!
  8. Just wanting to show some support to the Yellowjackets, in 1984 no one gave the guys from Greenfield a chance, except for those from Greenfield. Coach Glisson may again be able to pull off that same magic, Good Luck Jackets, in your journey through state.
  9. Please remove Humboldt from your top ten Turkey, just because they are better than years past, they dropped two at Union City, and played very poorly. They also got spanked at Crockett Co. Just because Humboldt wants to have a rivalry with Lexington, does not make them Lexington.
  10. After the BGA v. BHRC championship game, he ran right out of the stadium in fear of the blue and gold and never was seen again.
  11. George, Camden's field needs clay from Alabama, that stuff in Camden is fine for whatever else it is used for, but it does not have the clay content necessary to maintain a field. Camden's infield mix also beaches out after one year, and doesn't present a solid surface.
  12. bbcoach, didn't realize that Haywood moved down, and was comparing it to other AAA fields, in that case I will go with it being a normal field, and totally agree that there are no bad fields in AAA.
  13. Beave, Did you notice the guy from Lake Co., how could you forget them, they haven't won anything in any sport since the mid-90's, how in the world could you have overlooked their exceptional athletes. Especially in baseball, where I am sure that they put up "great numbers" every year. I guess if they didn't have those two great two lane highways into town, we would all go to Tiptonville just to see the baseball exhibition.
  14. No one on this post must be from West Tennessee, because if you had been to the following places you would know that the fields you are talking about, are not that bad, thus here is a list of the worst fields in West Tennessee: Class A: Bradford Class AA: Gibson County Class AAA: Haywood County
  15. Once there was a boys team at Central, I guess now there a football school that has a good girls team.
  16. Whomever puts this garbage about South Fulton on these threads lives in fantasy land, South Fulton has had great history only due to the great scheduling that they seem to have had for so long. They used to play several Kentucky schools, and then one day started losing to them, so they headed to Missouri and Illinois. You don't know how bad those teams are. As for the kid from Lake County, you people haven't seen good football since 95', and you have history, Five State Championship Appearances, Two State Championships, numerous All-State First Teamers, and you buy into South Fulton being great, shame on you. There is no history there except in the four years Trey Pearson played basketball. That's not FOOTBALL HISTORY, the days of the Reelfoot Conference are over, move into the next century and continue to live with your mediocrity.
  17. Sure, South Fulton will have a great season next year, everybody in the district will be down, even Bruceton, but don't count on that win. Likewise, with this being a new contract year look for Woods to make sure that he can compete in all non-district games, as he has done for years and years. It will be a great season, but the postseason will not be as exciting.
  18. WesCharge, you said it would be good, and I forgot to go to the game, yet in Tennessee where almost everybody gets to advance it will work out with one of the three(Obion, Gibson, Westview) battling it out for one of the two spots, don't know how it will work, but think back to the early 80's, perhaps 83: Dist. Championship- Obion v. Humboldt, Region Championship-Obion v. Humboldt, State Championship: Obion v. Humboldt; this scenario could arise once again, but who knows which ones it will be; however, my bet is still on the Lady Chargers. By the way Humboldt won all three games.
  19. Get ready this will be the game that sets the tone for several rematches later on. Both are top ten, no doubt about that: By the way, Westview came from behind and blew Dyersburg off the court.
  20. Good to see everyone lists Cavin at Westview, she is the real deal. Last night with the Lady Chargers behind, she took over the game making several key shots, and keeping the other players fired up. She is a court leader, and finished the night with Lions Club tournament MVP.
  21. News Flash: Do it once, shame on you, Do it twice shame on me, Do it thrice shame on DC. Everybody knew how he was going to win, and how he would build the program, and now the DC crew has abondoned him. He is not a cheater, he is a coach that works the system, and now that he is gone, you can enjoy the next couple of years, but then get ready cause the ride will be over, and you will "stink again."
  22. Paul knows the game, and should have gone into coaching from the beginning. He is level headed, and pays strict attention to detail. It would be in the best interest of Westview to secure him for this position.
  23. The greatest battle between two schools who have limited class and zero sportsmanship is what you might think is a rivalry, but not quite. I can remember when Dyer County was too scared to even think about playing Dyersburg, but then again you have never thought to stop the rivalry with Lake County, especially when they are down. Greatest Rivalry in the state, NO!, greatest rivalry in Dyer County maybe, but then again Finley vs. Holice Powell was always real exciting too.
  24. What does Coach Clark have coming into the Bartlett job, and how long will it take him to reach the level of success that he reached at Germantown. Is it possible for him to win the District in his first year at Bartlett, and when do Germantown and Bartlett play. Thanks.
  25. Who replaced Coach Clark, and what does the 2003 edition of the Red Devils look like. Good Luck Devils...........
