i think white county will win, coming off of their huge upset of Oakland, they should have little or no problem with Lebanon, especially since the horrible refs from the Lebanon home games are not going with them

that is awesome, two major upsets last night, this and Cookeville beating Riverdale

now i dont feel so bad about Siegel losing to Lebanon, we play Riverdale at home friday, last time they played the game stayed within 1-2pts until 5 minutes left in the game and Riverdale won by 11, i think Siegel has a good shot at beating them good job Cookeville

Siegel plays at Lebanon tomorrow night. when they played at Siegel, Lebanon won by 3 or 4 and it was a very exciting game. these teams are basically playing for the #4 seed in the district tournament. Siegel will bring a good sized, rowdy student section to Lebanon that will play a big factor in deciding the game if it is close. Siegel is undefeated on the road when the student section travels with them (3-0) (warren county, Cookeville, and Centennial) this game will be one of the best of the night, im going to have to go with Siegel by 5, they've been playing great lately, and keith ramsey will have another big game what are your predictions?

it would be different if white co was at home, but they are not, Oakland by 20+

Riverdale has had a rough couple of games recently almost losing to white county, and then being destroyed by Riverdale, they really need to step it up the last few games, they have Siegel at Siegel in a little while

tomorrow night we play white county at home for homecoming, that is going to be a tough game, our girls have really improved, the whole team consist of all freshman and 2 sophomores, 4 freshman start, its tough to make it to their away games because the majority of harris' hooligans play other sports and have conditioning, and practice after school till 5 or 530

were not worried about the good ole' days when you went to school, plus Oakland was a big part of the attendance at Siegel, i don't understand why you are so worried about it two papers are not going to lie

2000 sounds better considering that Siegels gym holds more than Oaklands and the max capacity including the area outside the gym and concession stand at Siegel is 2400, after that it is a fire hazard and no one else can be in that part of the building, i believe that, the paper said recent history, like last 10 years, so i guess it was like 91-94 but i wasnt there then so i dont know for sure

yea, at the beginning of the year, no one came to games because our football team was 0-10, being our 1st year, no one thought we would be good at basketball either we were picked to finish last in the district with 5 overall wins finally when people realized that we were pretty decent, they started coming i think we played you guys our second home game, everyone that was at Cookeville was there the last game at Siegel, but we were very unorganized, it wasnt until we played Lebanon a couple of weeks ago that we sounded like a real student section, like i said in another post, or maybe this one, we had around 2000 fans at the Oakland game, and that was a record for a rutherford county high school game(Smyrna, lavernge, Riverdale, Oakland, Blackman, now Siegel) but we've put together a pretty good group, we have shirts coming too, we'll have fun playing next year even though we'll probably compete for quietest student section to stay out of jail (lol) what really turned us around was when 5 of us made the trip to warren county that was awesome, you can read about it in the middle of the warren county thread

about our cheers, have you really seen other schools do the "man, did you see that mess", DANG and the little roll of what not after free throws, and also the quack quack quack, i thought those were oringinal, who else has done it?

i can understand that this is our first year and weve already had very many freedoms taken away from us, so we can never be as rowdy as the first few games, thanks for not being a jacka** about the situation like some of the other students and parents, i still can not beleive what your principal told ours though, we hadnt had one of our sro officers at the game to tell our principal what really happend, we would have been in deep sh** before they heard our side of the story from our sro and our bball coaches, all 20 of us who went to the game were possibly going to be suspended from all school related extacurricular activity for 1 year, but we got things worked out, beat warren county for us if you havent already because we hate them, they did the same thing to us as some of yall did but worse see ya in sparta Siegel crew

there definitely needs to be like a 45 second shot clock in hs bball, it ticks me off when a team runs out the clock for like 2 1/2 minutes, it is ridiculous there especially needs to be one for the girls, dear god, i have only been two 2 girls games worth watching, i have seen girls games where both teams were single digits at halftime, the rest were terrible and ive caught the second half of dozens waiting for the guys game sorry for bringing up girls bball on the mens bball post but i had to do it

im sure Centennial has a large student section for big games, but so does everyone else, when Siegel played Oakland last week, an attendance record was set for a basketball game in rutherford county, estimated 1700, probably closer to 2000 including 800 students combined between the two, on a tuesday night, and i agree Centennial played like crap against us but a win is a win and a loss is a loss. Id love for Centennial to bring a bus load of kids to Siegel later on in the year and see what its like when were at home, just ten of us made more noise than the rest of the whole crowd saturday at home we'll have about 200 or so students for a non-district game, so bring alot of kids to mboro when we play, it makes the game a lot more exciting when there is actually a student section to cheer agaist hope to see you at that game Siegel CREW

not just the students, but the faculty, and parents also, we were cussed at, and flicked off by multiple partents and students, the principal grabbed one of our students who was TALKING TO ONE OF OUR PLAYERS PARENTS, and told him he was threatening someone from Cookeville, he must really be an idiot, we were not disrespectful at all we cheered our team, sang goodbye like any other team does when they win, had a couple of signs that said goodbye, and left, next some of Cookevilles students proceed to follow us to our van and threaten us, oh no, they scared the crap out of me.....not then they got into their trucks and threw crap at us, why? because they were embarrassed to let a first year school with 4 starting sophomores and 1 junior beat them, again, and let about 18 Siegel students be louder and more into the game than them, i heard so much crap about Cookeville being a hard place to win, BS our players thought we were playing at home, and we even toned it down a little because we know how crazy you dang cookevillians are we did not want to get shot or anything so you actually didnt get a full dose of HARRIS' HOOLIGANS(student section nick name) i really hope we play you psycos again in districts

i dont think you have much to worry about, even if Oakland does not play as well as they did against Riverdale, id say Oakland by 12

Cookeville was nothing, i thought it was supposed to be tough to win there, yea the gym is huge, but no one was there, their student section didnt even stand up, we brought 20 guys to the game and got into Cookevilles heads very easily, there fans are very weak, or at least tonite they were, Siegel won by 9, i think it was 54 to 45, Cookeville had only 5 points the whole first quarter, Oakland, you were right about police, they kicked out one of us for no reason, and threatend us before the game, but this was ridiculous, we owned Cookeville, then there terrible students acted like they were going to jump us and did a drive by throwing bottles at us, they didnt do anything, they are weak and scared, i was very dissapointed to see such a small quiet crowd

i heard that Oakland won by 25 and brady had 33 points(7 threes) im not sure if thats right, but that is what i was told

i still do not understand how megaphones fit into the noisemaker category, they do not make any noise, they're not like clappers, or air horns, its just your voice that stinks about booing the refs, we were at an away game saturday night, and the refs loved us, 10 of us were loud as a whole student section and that schools principle took away our posterboard, megaphones, and told us we coulnt even hold up signs, the players parents at the game stood up for us and held the signs for us now i can understand why Centennial only had about 75 fans at that game, but these refs thought we were great, even though we were on their butts most of the 1st half

i am a student from Siegel highschool, and i am behind our girls 100%, but they are not good at all, but when me and 9 buddies made the trip to Centennial to see our guys beat their guys, we did not expect our girls to win, our girls team is all freshman and 2 sophomores, not a single junior or senior, 4 freshman start, and we slaughtered Centennial, we usually lose by 25+, but when we got to the game in the 3rd quarter, we were up like 47 to 21 is Centennial girls young too, or do they not have good coaching, or did Siegel just have a good night saturday night, or did Centennial just have a bad night?
