I think several people have answered your question in depth...but you don't seem too believe what the majority has spoken. In my opinion your gonna ask the question until someone tells you what you want to hear...so here goes nothing. I have no doubt that AE can beat or compete with any school in this great state. Talent,size,speed and money can't always overcome the Heart...Courage...and Determination of the AE Roadrunners. Hows that???

I think MBA would have won...but I think it would have stayed pretty tight...maybe 17-7.

Unless Collierville really steps up i think Germantown walks into the Semi's...who fills the other half I'm not so sure about...my guess would be Franklin or Brentwood.

Orange Mound combines some of the best and the worst to truly make a unique place to play. Besides watching some great football in an electric atmosphere...you get to hear the band(playing Rap R&B Hip Hop) and see the huge crowds...its like a mini Southern Heritage Classic every Friday night. Things that make it not so good...The field is in pretty sad shape...in fact last time I played at Melrose in the Mid 90's(could have changed) there was asphalt in one end zone, glass all over field and bullet casings next to our bench. Most people will also tell you Orange Mound is not the safest part of town...I myself have never seen anything too make me question my safety but if you watch the news it doesn't paint a flattering picture. Now that I've moved to Knoxville I look forward to watching games at DB,Oak Ridge and Maryville this up coming season...then i'll be able to put my west Tennessee prospective on these east Tennessee favorites.

Much like Div II AAA has a big edge in Wins against 5A...I'd be willing to bet The gap between 5A and 1-4A is just as large. If anyone has access to this data I'm sure it would add to this discussion.

Depth,Size,Money...same reasons DIV I NCAA football teams beat DIV II,JUCO and the likes on a regular basis.

I would love to see that hapen....Oak Ridge,DB,Riverdale,BA,MBA. Would be great games not to mention great gates....heck Melrose and CBHS have played in the Liberty Bowl infront of huge crowds last couple of years. Just Imagine week 0 DB Vs Maryville @ Neyland-I'd be there for sure

Coach White @ Germantown= 1 year 1 Title...I realize it wasn't a rags to riches campaign considering the 2002 squad made it to the Semi's...but in one year he accomplished what hadn't been done in 20.
