Lol, I probably should pick the opposite. I've been a kiss of death for teams playing Clarksville. Gallatin got blown out. I'm sure Luna thanks me for picking Gallatin. And now Johnson probably hates I picked Franklin against Cville. I guess I still have a bad taste in my mouth from a no call(Shawn Marion over the back) on a missed free throw (Clarksville) put whites creek out of the substate(Marion tipped in the game winner on the play). Not sure of the yr. But I know Marion and Hassell were both playing. It was Marion's sr yr. I think it was 96'.

I'm going with Franklin in the upset. The 3's will reign for Franklin as they break out of their shooting slump.

Way to go Antioch! Its amazing how many losing teams complain about the refs. From the box score seems like WC couldn't guard the "gnat"(30 pts). Next time use OFF.

Whites Creek sleep walked the first half. Shot waaaaay to many jump shots and to much one-on-one. Their defense is what won the game for them. I don't know how Nollner gets them to play so hard on Defense....................

game will still be played, unless the gym is destroyed. gametime is 7pm. all watches should be over by 6pm.

Most of these teams are still left. In AAA, WC plays Franklin they are tied for 6th.

They may press a little bit, which I think affected Franklin's 3 pt shooting against McGavock. Neither team wants to go to Clarksville(if Clarksville wins) to try to get to the state. Franklin's crowd was great.

Two things. 1. Franklin won't shoot 0-17 from three on Thursday. 2. Jamie should be well rested, didn't do much against Antioch. Plus he had 4 fouls and he actually had to come out of the game(he normally plays the whole game). Will Franklin play man-man defense? If they do they will try to draw charges on WC, because, the creek will beat any of Franklin defenders one-on-one. Jamie will have a field day too. Depends on how the officials view it. Will Franklin be allowed to hand check(same for WC). Both teams grab cutters going to the basket. Whites Creek struggled against the motion offense early in the season against Beech. Creek only plays man-man so Franklin will get plenty of scoring opportunities. Which Calvin Roberts(WC) will show up. He had 0 points against Antioch. Obviously F. Laronde stepped up. Can Josh Eddy neutralize Derek Batts. Lots of questions............ He was an assistant. Cornelius Ridley was the head coach that yr.

Franklin was very well prepared. Franklin ran the motion offense very well. There were numerous lay-ups on back door cuts by Franklin. They also did an excellent job of defending Don Woods. He did not get loose. Batts is a load down low. Franklin handled McGavock's pressure all night. No way can you knock Franklin and the coaching staff. They were well prepared. And unfortunately those shots will probably fall against Whites Creek. No way they shoot that poorly again. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Also Coach Simms did a great job of keeping his composure. He has done an outstanding job with the group from McGavock. I don't blame him for some of the plays the players made on the court in the final 40 seconds. He also had a lot of faith to put in Fred Lee(10) who is only a Freshman. He and Danny another freshman(who didn't dress) will make sure McGavock recovers quickly. On to Thursday, I look forward to the game. By the way Simms was on the Whites Creek team that lost to Jay Johnson in 89.

Thats the second time that "junk" defense, box and one has somewhat stunned Jamie. In his last two games against antioch he has averaged 5.5 points...............Give Antioch credit for making adjustments from the first game. Again each game I walk away more impressed with Kyle Upton(no. 20) antioch. That kid is the real deal. He came to play. His knifing move in the 4th quarter which the ref called a travel was so fast the ref assumed he took three steps. Antioch will be the team to beat next year.

I agree Donothan. I can't explain it. Both teams seemed to be going through the motions............like robots.

Kilcrease hit a 3 at the end of overtime against Franklin. No pushoff this time, but time expired right before he launched. Shot didn't count.

Being a cobrafan, I would love to see it happen. But it TAKES a lot of skill and GOOD luck to win it all. I don't know how we can do it with Jamie playing so many minutes. NO way can he do it in Murfreesboro on a college court, 3 games in 3 nights. Not saying the team can't do it, they just need to get Jamie some rest and keep him fresh. Good luck to all teams in Region 6. FranklinHS fan i agree i will root for whoever comes out of region 6.

Yes, it is hard to believe. But that kid has improved leaps and bounds since he left glencliff. He looks comfortable on the court. I think the language barrier probably helps him. I don't think he takes it personal when Simms screams at him, lol.

Beware of Yo-Yo. For those that don't know, he is Galuak Gai. He has come on strong for McGavock.

Kyle Upton is the heart and soul of Antioch. So he goes antioch goes. He led all scores with 23. Kyle was the guard no. 20. Kyle you played one heckuva game. Centennials guard play killed them. Nothing from their guards...all night. Cent. guards made poor decisions all night. Cent. did play hard. I was very impressed with Kelley. He will be one to watch the next two yrs.

The score on coacht is incorrect. I'm sure they will correct the score soon. Franklin won.

It was a crowded group for Mr. Basketball. They also left off a kid from Science Hill. Of course I would Argue for Graham. Hopefully he'll use it as motivation and it will carry them all the way. Football has helped him become a better basketball player. The previous three yrs, he always had some injury during the season. This year has been injury free. knick-knack injury-free I should say. The weight training has helped his body take a lot of body contact. Yes the kid for JFK was outstanding. JFK was to quick for MLK's normally reliable man-man defense. JFK was very aggressive from the outset. Nailing two 3's and as you said never looked back. MLK's center shouldn't have been MVP, he didn't finish well this game around the basket and wasn't much of a factor. I expected much more out of him since he started last yr as a 7th grader.

Congrats to Meigs on a tremendous season. Meigs and HG Hills clearly had the two best girls in the city. Meigs - Gooch, who will attend hume fogg. HG Hills - Harrison, yet another Harrison and yes she's tall. she'll probably end up at Hillsboro. Unfortunately for Hillwood.

If that was the case, He better think again. Haynes barely beat Brick Church for 3rd place....................... Congrats to JFK, clearly the best team in the city this yr. Haynes was good, but coaching.............................and outside shooting.
