  1. Up here at school, in KY, I have three teammates from Trinity in Louisville. They're a classy, good group of guys, and I have all the repect in the world for Trinity. They are the dominant fotball program in KY (along with St. Xavier in Lousiville). For an example of the type of talent this school has, U of L quarterback Brian Brohm is a Trinity grad. There's some controversy in the state right now as to whether or not Public schools and Private schools should play in the same division (as they do now) or move to a system like that in Tennessee.
  2. Haha. Whoever makes that website called OR the Bobcats. Bet that upsets Central fans more than anyone. Why isn't the Ravenwood mascot the Raven? Raptors go extinct after 4 years. OR by 21.
  3. As much as I enjoyed seeing Clinton get thumped, I was disappointed to see OR still throwing passes well into the second half and even with a 51-0 lead. With "passing no longer being an afterthought in Oak Ridge", I remember more balls being thrown in the second half than in the first.
  4. In addition, Bingham had a pick returned for a touchdown in the 1st Sevier County game, and he just powercleaned 280lbs. at last night's "Night of Champions". Look for him to be an even bigger part of the secondary than some may think.
  5. What kind of offense does the JV run. It seems the Varsity is centered around the abilities of Ferguson and Williams. Are there up and coming players to take over this offense in the future, or will they eventually go back to the more option oriented offense of years passed?
  6. 2003 state 5A semi-finals. Riverdale at Oak Ridge in the snow. Riverdale has the ball on about the 50, with the lead 17-13 and about a minute to go. It's over. Yeah right. Fumble, OR recovers, converts a fourth down, completes a pass to the five, and spikes the ball. On the last play, OR is five yards away from Murfreesboro, Riverdale runs a zone blitz, linebacker tips the ball End intercepts. Ball game. Worst night of my life.
  7. Anyone have the final score of the Oak Ridge @ Bradley Central game? I heard it was going to be a good one.
  8. Contender, I'm #77 that broke my leg last time we played. I'm doing really good and I'll definately be back next year. I dont know if anyone noticed, but I was dressed in full gear last night and a game captain to really motivate my team. There's nothing more I could have wanted than to see my teammates go out there and beat the Indians. Congradulations to DB for a great season, but now it's time for the Wildcats to roll!
  9. And make sure you notice #77 with the limp.
  10. I was confused by that call. What rule does a wrong shoulder violate?
  11. I'm not sure since I never saw the rest of the game, but it seems if we had a time out we'd have called it. I wish we would have had our fast break offense that we have now back then. Oh i'm glad he's alright. He can probably go really far someday.
  12. Actually, I was going out to make a play on #1 but got hit in the leg by one of our backers. It just got planted and broke my right tib and fib. I had surgery that Sunday in Oak Ridge and got s rod and some screws put in, but I'm off crutches now and I'll be back by spring practice. And I'd also like to say DB is a real class act. The day after my surgery I got a call from the trainer at DB asking how I was. How did Lamon get hurt? I hurt he fractured his ankle or something.
  13. Going back to DB, I've only been here since my feshman year, when OR didnt make the playoffs, so I've only played DB twice. Even though we lost both times, I love to play DB. It's such a great atmosphere to play in against an always great team. How long have DB and OR been playing? Anyone know the total win/loss count? And one more thing, anyone think we'd have one back in September had I not broken my leg?
