I have heard that as many as 7 players may be leaving Ole Miss, I am not going to say names, but I do know of a few others that are for sure leaving.

I think what bothers me the most about this whole situation is it seems to me like they didn't even look at the whole situation in depth. The guy who game him the jerseys was never questioned about reasons for giving it to him. I mean, wrong is wrong, but at least make sure that the situation is what it appears to be and not assume. James is appealing the ruling and I hope he gets to play. James has helped his team and school a whole lot by bringing them recognition and by getting the players exposure to 1000's of college coaches by his name and reputation only. I do realize that everything has a consequence, but is assuming something then reacting spontaneously over the assumption worth a kid's career. The post earlier on about, "getting by already with the H2 thing" is ludicrous. Be honest. You are a loan officer, and Lebron James' mother walks in. Regardless if you like her, respect him, or anything else, face it, he will make millions someday soon, either as a star, or the most over rated player ever. You mean to tell me that you wouldn't approve a LEGAL LOAN to her? His signing bonus will cover the car, yet you wonder if she will pay the loan back. I think any loan officer would have approved the loan on any terms that would fit James' mother due to the fact, he will be making the money some day. So did he get by with anything it that case? NO... He just has a luxury that none of us could ever fathom.

I am not at all fixing to promise a victory. But we have a great shot at beating westview. I mean, sure, ya'll are solid- but what happened last time we played? We didn't even have our whole team. But go ahead, overlook us, do what you want. We are only a single A school. Regardless, hope your ready, it won't be easy. and that is a promise

I don't see the problem with him getting a loan for an H2. I mean, he is a soon to have more money than he will know what to do with. His mom gave it to him. He has worked hard to get where he is at now. Maybe I'm to young to understand, but i don't see the problem with him planning on his future income. He is already making other people rich, why not treat himself?

SFFAN- Ever since you were first on this board last year I, along with a few other players doubted you actually being from South Fulton. If you are or if you aren't that is a stupid statement. We win 1 big game all year and you say that. I want people to know that nobody else, especially on the team thinks we are the power of the region. However, I do feel that we have proved that we are alot better than our record and that we may be gelling at the right time. 1 game doesn't prove anything. It is only a stepping stone for us as a team. Big win, yes, very big, but its doesn't prove anything if we don't follow it up with more.

In my opinion the coach may care a little bit more about winning. If it was all that cared about he wouldn't have even thought to have the teams opinion considered. I play high school ball and I start. If a player didn't play at the beginning of the year and then came on and took my position it would make me want to work harder. The best players should play and if feelings get hurt then so be it. I would see the selfish opinions towards the coach if the team would have voted it down then the players were let on the team. However, he made a TEAM decision and let them have the over all say so. I have no reason to back Ezell I just feel the coach is getting bashed for doing what the TEAM thought was best.

I think that it is a crying shame that everybody can make money off of LeBron James but him. I mean, should he get payed to play? NO, but the state of Ohio could have 10 H2s if they wanted them only because of James. Now be realistic, if you are a load officer and LEBRON JAMES walks in and asks for a loan for a vehicle no matter what the price, do you not think that you wouldn't try to make money off of him as well. James will be worth millions regardless if he is a bust or not, heck, if he is signed for the minimum (his signing bonus will be over that) he will still be able to pay it off. Nike, Adidas, Ohio, ESPN, ESPN2, etc all get rich off of him, but when he trys to take advantage of WHERE HIS HARD WORK HAS HIM, HE IS BASHED BY EVERYBODY UNDER THE SUN AND ITS A SHAME. LET HIM LIVE AND IF YOU DON'T AGREE TO HIM BUYING STUFF THEN DON'T WATCH AND CONTRIBUTE TO HIM HELPING OTHERS GET RICH.

Yea, i'm guessing that i'm going to have to get used to it. I'm sure that you guys at DC are used to it by now b/c i read every day the bashing that ya'll take. Good luck this year to ya'll and i know that ya'll will make noise come tourny time.

I'm not on here defending any single person. However, let me know what kentucky team we started losing to that we dropped, then let me know WHO THE HECK FROM MISSOURI OR ILLINOIS that we have played EVER! I don't think you can do that becaue there isn't any. And goto the basketball board, i play ball for south fulton and yes, we did start 0-10 but i bet nobody wants to see us come tourny time, believe that, y'all are some hatin people. i try to be nice most of the time and now you are on here hating. m16 where are you from? you enjoy us going 0-10 holla at us come tourny time when we finally get all 5 of the noraml starters on the court, you know we haven't played 1 game this year with our regular players....who's fault..ours..but we will be okay..stop hating...and get facts straight before you talk. i know it goes both ways, but i ain't hyping anybody up or talkin anybody down...you just need to know what you are talking about

I have kept all of my replies and post on here clean. As of now i don't play for SF, I don't know if i will this year. But going out to hurt a player is pathetic, regardless of what he says on a message board. I tell you what, i bet he will be the one busting heads and it will take a shot to put him out. and remember, dirty play is responded with dirty play, and you wouldn't want one of your players out for a season or anything would you because you coming on a board saying things like that will get that done easily if the "wrong" person reads it...better be careful or your going to get somebody hurt...maybe even you

I think that the WR William Minor, and the LB Mitchell Maynard will lead their team to just more than "a few games" next year. They are young stars and have been in the past. They have expierence under their belts and I think they are ready to carry this team on their backs (thats if William stays out of trouble and there have been rumors that he wont be playing for SF next year b/c he's moving). If all goes well, I think ya'll will be proud of SF.

I am a deep fan of the south fulton football team and I too know about the sports life. I know that sometimes you can go into a slump and everybody gets down on you. Maybe this is what is happening to this team. They have young talent and great expierence on their team. They have had some problems in and out of the lockerroom. Next year I think the class of 04' will lead their team atleast to the 2nd or 3rd round but they cant do it by theirselves. It takes a team effort. This spring I am going to watch them in their spring training and see what is happening and if they are focused for the up coming year. If they play focused and like they should I think many of the comments on this website will be changed...

I think there should be a rule that to post a message you should know something about the game of basketball. But, thats just me, i don't know anything, just thought it may help to know a little.

Just as the thread is dying down and people are forgetting about it you come and make another post. Speculations are just that, speculations. Who cares if they are right or not. And by the way people were bashing Ben, did you think that all people believed him. Man, here we go again with this thread..........................

I have just a simple question for people on this thread that are accusing Ben of basically all things and everything including a thug. Have you ever made a mistake, maybe something you look back on and think...why did I do that? I'm sure Ben wouldn't have touched Coach Smith if he had to do it over again. People talk like he slapped coach smith in the face and then kicked him repeatedly right before he set his office on fire and left him to burn. I hope that all of these post were made by high school students because it would be a crying shame for an adult to act so childish over a situation that probably didn't effect them in any way and i would venture to say that they wouldn't have ever heard of it unless they read it on this board. Ben was wrong he admits it. He is acting more mature on this board than basically anybody else. I am going to wish Ben the best of luck in whatever he does down the road. I don't know him but I do know how it is to be misunderstood. Good luck.

I want to right now take the chance to applaud Ben for standing up against a "giant". It's a shame when people say that he (Ben) should have been hit in the mouth, or that criminal charges should have been brought against him, and that he has no respect. If you are judging a man by a post that he has made on this message board then maybe you should be hit in the mouth. I know that him going against Smith automatically gave him 3 strikes regardless of the terms he was on before. It's a shame that a person is talked so bad about because he did what he thought was right. Not that he rebelled, not that he broke a rule to just break the rule, he did what he thought was right. Basketball is not fun to play if you don't enjoy the people you play with or the coach you play for no matter how good you are. And many coaches and players can make practice and games a living heck and it wears you down mentally and physically. High school is the best 4 years of your life and regardless if you are good at anything or not if you don't enjoy it then you shouldn't play. It seems that people are upset that Ben isn't being the Ben they wanted him to be. But what's even worse than that is people are criticizing him for being the Ben that HE wants to be! I hope people don't get Ben down easily because it would be easy for it to happen with the way people talk. Trey is taller then 6'1" it may be hard to believe but he is alot closer to 6'4" than he is to 6'1" He is about 6'3" maybe pushing 6'3"1/2. I know when he came back from ole miss this summer he had gained alot of weight and muscle. Barnes told his dad that he has a very realistic chance of started this year and will for sure see alot of playing time.

I read the article about Frederick and I also read what Coach Smith said. And I completly see what the previous post was saying about "calling him out" it seemed to me like they may have caught coach at a bad time and he said something that maybe needs to be taken back. I have never heard direct statements towards a player at the highschool level in any public press article. I think the biggest thing, and I'm completely ignorant to both of the people and the situation, my assumption is that people wanted Ben Frederick to be and do something that he wasn't or didn't want to be. Being good doesn't make the game fun. I just hope that people don't give him a bad name without knowing the situation and without realizing there are two sides to all stories and it isn't our place to judge Frederick for decisions he has made regardless of how we feel.
