  1. WH is a multi dimensional team with alot of TEAM speed. Whoever is saying WH does not stop teams with speed havent seen them play. I understand we got beat pretty badly by Alcoa but I do not believe they killed us with speed. To give you a few stats. Our QB has passed for around 1900 yards with 25 passing TDs and 3 rushing TDs. We have two very good running backs. One (Demarcus Payne) has rushed for 1200 yards with 18 TDs and the other has rushed for 550 yards with 10 TDs. We also have a very good recieving corps that run routes very well and have good speed. Our leading reciever has right at 600 yards with 7 TDs. Our second reciever has about 450 yards with 9 TDs. We have a very large offensive line that gives up very few sacks. Our anchor is Blaine Boone which is 6' 3" and weighs around the 350 mark. He is a beast and is being highly recruited. Overall our offense is very good averaging 36 points per game. We run out of several formations however I have seen them run shotgun a little more lately. On the defensive side of the ball we operate mostly out the 50 but rotate with the nickel, 4-3, and dime packs with multiple secondary looks. Our secondary is the strength of the defense in my opinion. Overall we are giving up about 16 points per game. Alot of those points coming on late scores when starters have been out. There has only been 5 close games for WH this season. We have a great kicking game that pins people deep into their own territory. Our field goal kicker is good from about 50 yards and in. He has an extremely strong leg and is very accurate. He is 5 of 7 for the year and the two he missed were over 50 yards. WH is a very good football team. From what I have heard and seen so is Knox Catholic. It sounds like it will be a great game either way. I plan on making the 4 hour trip to see this great game. Please share with us WH fans what Knox Catholic likes to run and tendencies. You can see alot of things about our team on our website @ www.whitehousefootball.com
  2. You guys beat the heck out of us last year, so until we show something different we can't say anything. You all are a very good football team and would probably beat just about everyone in the state. I am not saying we will beat you all but I think it will be a lot closer than last year. Your team gets all the respect in the world from me. Who is starting at QB for you this year? The kid last year was a stud!!! What happened to the Sommers kid that committed to TN but then got into trouble?
  3. What about Rogers Gaines? Has he signed yet? Who is he expected to sign with?
  4. WHsports//// You hit the nail on the head.
  5. Who are you to speak about titles? Have you all ever won a state championship? And if you are talking about region championships then we do have a couple in this decade. Please do not get this started.
  6. Coach Porter does not call the offensive plays. Coach Granthem does. He is our offensive coord. and Coach Honeycutt is our defensive coord. Porter is a great coach and knows WH's strengths and weaknesses. They will not make the same mistakes they did before. I am not saying WH will win (even though I think they will) I am just saying the gameplan will be a little different than last time. Anyway I think it will be a balanced attack with the run being a little more predominant. I also think that will open up the play action pass which could create some big plays. Good luck and hopefully no injuries on either team.
  7. Tim what is your name. Just wanting to see if I know you. I think I may have asked you this before. Sorry for the repitition
  8. Cat you can't say that all the WH fans do these things, because there are only a select few that even post on here. We have a lot of tradition and are very well coached. I believe you all are pretty much the same type of program. WH (the players and coaches) realize how tough the region is and also realize that anytime you can be beat. We respect our competition so do not be fooled by the people posting on here, because what it all really comes down to is the players and coaches anyway. Fans can talk all they want and bash people all theywant but it still will not change what happens on the field.
  9. Now be careful I believe the year that Greenbrier won the region and went to the state championship Wh blew them away. I do see where you are coming from Big Country, but give respect where respect is due. I understand you dislike some of the people on this board but do not blanket all WH fans and please don't question our program. We have won consistenly year in and year out. We have not won the state championship every year or anything but we usually are contenders. So please just give some respect. Thanks
  10. This is coming from an ex WH player, please everyone let it be. Why go back and forth, and why threaten each other when you all know good and well neither of you all are going to fight. THIS HAS BECOME RIDICULOUS, and I was not going to say anything but since I do not think it will stop I thought I could jump in. Ben you said you played for WH. Just for curiosity sake, and you do not have to tell me if you do not want to, what is your name? I was wondering if you played on the same team I did. This is Josh LeLoup. Well anyway just let it be. Let me retract my statement I thought you said you played for WH. I am not 100% for sure if you did say that or not.
  11. I know WH usually broadcasts the game via the internet, but the feed is bad you can barely here it. Is anyone else broadcasting the game? Maybe Pearl has a broadcast or something....
  12. I am not condoning what the kid did, but there should be room for second chances. I played football for White House from 98-01, and had something similiar happen to myself. I had been out partying one weekend my junior year after a football game with some people I should not have, and did some things I should not have and I got caught. Well that Monday morning Coach Porter called me into his office and let me know he knew what had happened and that I should explain myself. Well I told him the truth about everything. I mean about drugs, drinking, etc. I had started on the football team since my sophomore season and I also played a important role on the football team as far as leadership. More than anything football played an important role in my life. To be honest it was the reason I kept my grades up and up until that point tried to stay out of trouble. Anyways he said that he would let me know his decision after practice whether I could stay part of the football team or not. I met with him and he said he would give me a second chance under a couple of circumstances. 1. Do not continue hanging out with the people I had been hanging out with. 2. I would be suspended for one game. 3. I would have to meet every morning at 5:30 A.M. and do conditioning. He said that if I would do those things I could get a second chance. If anyone of those things were broken then I was gone. It was the best thing that could have happen to me. I straighted my life up and finished playing at WH and enjoyed every minute of it. Not only that if I would have just been kicked off the team, then there is no telling what would have happened to me. I could have went down the wrong path with no guidance. Luckily Coach Porter believed in second chances. I do believe this is a case by case scenario though. Brian may have already have had his second chance and if that is the case it is understandable.
  13. I paid 20 bucks to watch this online and as a WH supporter this is the worst I have ever seen them lose. WH did show some positives on the offensive side though with long drives on the Alcoa first team D. They made it to the Alcoa 11 yard line on their first series but got a field goal blocked. Second drive they fumbled on the Alcoa 35 yard line and the third they threw an interception. The main problem was the QB from Alcoa. He is ridiculous. We would have him down in the backfield and he would break a tackle and boom he is gone!!!! Before WH could blink it was 21-0. I don't think this is the showing of WH has to offer, but that is my opinion. Alcoa is a great team and will probably will have no problem with anyone in 2A or in the state other than Maryville. And from what I hear they had a chance to beat them and were not able to put it together. Alcoa have you thought of moving up a division just for the heck of it. I know you can move up but not down at your own will every couple of years. You all are one heck of a football team. Thank you for that lesson and I hope it helps WH in the future.
  14. Does anyone know if this game is going to be broadcast over the internet. Usually the WH games are on their website but it was not working last week.
  15. I must agree. I played against Gerald and he was the best player I ever played against. It was very sad to hear about his death. I was still playing at WH at the time and our team mourned for our arch rival. He will never be replaced at Portland nor should he.
  16. I think we are all taking this a little out of proportion. SC is a good football team. I was never saying they were not. I played at WH high school from 98-01 and what I meant was that we personally throughout those years never scrimmaged nor played SC. That is why I had really never heard of them. You guys over the years apparentlly have been really good and no one is taking that away from you all, but come on when is the last time that WH played SC in a real game. I would dare to say it has been well over 15 years. I may be incorrect but I would say that this is true. Lets all end this mess right now and move on. The scrimmage on Tues was just that a scrimmage and apparently WH lost period..... It does not matter whether or not they came out flat or not. However on the flip side it still does not mean a thing. No one gets credit for winning or losing scrimmages. So really who cares now. When I was playing my senior year we literally beat the ###### out of Hendersonville in a scrimmage. That was the same Hendersonville team that got beat in the 5A state championship game that year. So my point is scrimmages are just glorified practices between two teams to see where they are at before the season starts. Good luck to SC on the upcoming season and lets make sure that this whole thing is over.
  17. I was a senior that year. You must have played for Sycamore. We lost two games in the regular season that year and they were both by 1 point. I was #39. What position did you play for sycamore? You all had a good team that year and if I can remember had only been a high school for a few years. Correct me if I am wrong.
  18. Singray, You do not know what the heck you are talking about. I played for WH and can tell you that we work out and practice year round except for the dead period. So please before you speak know your darn facts.... WH is from a little old school. You know hard work, lots of heart, and winning. WH just started scrimmaging SC for the last few years before then we never scrimmaged you all. In fact I had really never heard of SMITH CO. Not to say anything bad of you alls program but we you were not even on our radar. WH bust their tale every to win a state championship. PERIOD. Not anything else. As far as having alot of players on the team, it is because players want to play for WH and will do anything to stay on the team. If you come out in 9th grade you are on our team as long as you can do what is asked and keep your grades up. If you don't come out then, but try to come out when you are an upperclassmen it near impossible to make the team. We are a sound football year in and year out. We have made the playoffs something like 23 out of the last 24 years. That is impressive. That does not come LAZYNESS. Please just know your facts next time........ Thats all.

Tim I really don't know why I am replying to your statement, but of course I am. Once again I played at WH and what you have to say is the farthest from the truth. You are right they do have some really good players this year and have a great chance at a state championship, but please don't start in on the coaches again. As far as the statement that Wes Proctor was better than Gaines I will have to disagree. I believe but am not sure that I played against him in 2001. Please correct me if I am wrong. He was a good player, but nowhere near the athlete or player that Gaines is now if it is who I think it is. I think he played harder than Gaines but better not even close. Not a downgrade to Proctor, but Gaines is potentially a major D1 talent. If he goes to a big school is yet to be determined.
  20. Does anyone know the score of this game?????
  21. PEARL COHN YOU ALL ARE A VERY GOOD FOOTBALL TEAM. THIS COMING FROM A FAN OF THE TEAM YOU ALL JUST BEAT... (WHITE HOUSE) ALTHOUGH IF YOU WANT TO GO ANY FURTHER YOU HAVE TO CUT DOWN THE STUPID MISTAKES. YOU CANT GET PERSONAL FOULS, UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCTS, ETC. YOU HAVE TO BE A LITTLE MORE DISCIPLINE. YOU HAVE ALL THE TALENT IN THE WORLD AND IT SOUNDS TO ME THAT YOU ALL HAVE A PRETTY DARN GOOD COACH. CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS CUT DOWN ALL OF THE PETTY STUFF AND WE COULD BE SEEING YOU ALL ON THAT COLD DECEMBER SATURDAY PLAYING FOR IT ALL. DO NOT GET ME WRONG I WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE SEEN WH PLAYING FOR IT, BUT AFTER LOSING TO YOU ALL AND SEEING THE TALENT YOU GUYS HAVE I AM JUST SPEAKING THE TRUTH. DO WELL THE REST OF THE PLAYOFFS AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO PLAYING YOU GUYS NEXT YEAR. I THINK THE OUTCOME WILL BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT THEN... HAHA.
