  1. Harpeth Hall has to be the best girl's team in the state. They have beaten everyteam in TN they have played. Their coaches do a great job; they are the first in the state & their coaches are the best.
  2. tnvols23 where is Alcoa & who do yall play?
  3. Coach Vest at Harpeth Hall is my vote: she has done a lot to expand girls lax here & has built up one of the best(if not the best) programs in the state...
  4. Haha, I meant fans that waste their time on coacht, not fans in general. And I have never heard of Harpeth Hall being a fouling or rough team?? Has Oliver Springs ever played Westview, Shelbyville, Upperman, Brentwood Academy or any Kentucky team? If they have, they should know that Harpeth Hall's aggressiveness is completely controlled and definitely would not be classified as rough. I love how Oliver Springs people just keep coming with the excuses.
  5. All the people from Oliver Springs need to just drop this thread and stop accusing everyone of everything and making excuses. I wasn't at the game but I do know this. Harpeth Hall is a very good team. Oliver Springs is a very good team. Laura Hall is a very good player. But I don't understand why you guys have to keep bringing up excuses as to why you got beat. Doesn't make sense to me...And I haven't seen Oliver Springs play but its sad that all anyone talks about is Laura Hall. I am sure she is a great player but one player doesn't make a team. I feel sorry for the other OS girls who probably never get credit. Thats why HH is so great. Because they are sooo balanced. There is no superstar. They are all superstars. On any given night they've usually got 4 or 5 players in double digits. Another thing, Harpeth Hall fans and players don't really read or post much on here so you guys are talking and making excuses to yourselves. You got beat, yes, by a Division II team, and believe it or not, they don't recruit, the principal doesn't even take much interest in sports because it is such an acedimically focused school. So don't even accuse them of recruiting. They just happen to have a really talented group of girls. Ok, im off my soapbox now.
  6. Urell has a 3 point average because she didn't need to score at Harpeth Hall. HH is stacked and everybody who has seen them play knows that. When you've got 5 players on the court who can score at all times, and 3 players who are always in double digits, the roles for the other two players out there must change a little bit. Therefore, the only reason Urell isn't in double figures right now is because thats not her role on that team. Put her on any other team in this state and she would be a top scorer. Her defense is remarkable and she has heart and guts. Stephanie Urell is going to be a huge asset to Westmoreland's program and could possibly carry them to the Murphy Center.
  7. WATCH OUT FOR JPII OUT OF DIVISION II. THEY ARE FRESHMEN AND SOPHOMORES AND ALREADY DOING PRETTY WELL FOR HOW YOUNG THEY ARE...I JUST FEEL SORRY FOR THEIR COMPETITORS IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS!!!! AND THEIR COACH IS THE BEST IN TOWN.
  8. I have been reading all of these posts about who is underrated and overrated and the fact is, in high school basketball, there are a lot of teams who could be a lot of teams on any given night. At this age, the consistency of teams and individual players is so irregular that it is hard to say who is better unless it is completely obvious. I was at the HH/Upperman game. The reffing was bad, point blank and no one can deny that. Harpeth Hall fans were embarressed by the refs because Upperman had never played there and so from an Upperman standpoint, I can easily see how you could say, "well the private school paid the refs". But, for Harpeth Hall's sake, the refs didn't give Upperman 34 points. The blowout was a combonation of things: Harpeth Hall was hot, Upperman was not, Harpeth Hall's defense was on, and Upperman's press defense didn't shake HH. On another night it could have been a different game. But that night, Harpeth Hall was clearly victorious. And my statement goes back to what I said in the beginning, on any given night, one high school team can be better than the next. No one can look at who beat who and what the scores were to make an evaluation on any basketball team. As far as private schools recruiting...people get on CoachT all the time and say how bad DII basketball is. DII is not given very much credit, and granted, there are definitely teams in DII that do not have quality programs. But how can you constantly underrate DII basketball, yet when you lose to a DII squad, you blame it on the fact that they recruit? Aren't you contridicting yourself? If DII recruits, why aren't they the best division in the state of Tennessee? Why aren't they given any credit? And in conclusion to recruiting, there was one program that recruited kids. And by the way...Upperman is a little county with 300 students...Harpeth Hall's high school has 300 kids as well. This post is very long, but these issues that need to be addressed. So to recap everything I have written above, TEAMS CANNOT BE LABELED, UNDERRATED, OVERRATED, OR BADMOUTHED ON THIS SITE. And, I like most of the people posting on this site are grown adults and I think that we all need to have a little more dignity and remember that the kids we write about on here are reading everything we say. Its a game. Its an intense game that gets players to college, gives them hopes and dreams and takes them places. It needs to be fun, because it is life. I'm finished now.
  9. Fine you want us to talk football- We predict MBA-27 McCallie- 10 -We know Fisher aim is on, got a feeling about #6 Koban and Kompany will get their Friday night fix. -Dawson and Noel will throw you back across the line, McCallie boys stink and those harpeth hall girls are fine. -Rutledge is the coach his first name is Jeff last week in the game vs BA he had a problem with the ref. -The big red army is looking for a fight... you better watch out or they will give you a nasty bite. love, shannon! Red or DEAD! anything but BLU ROLL RED! p.s. BAJ just to clue you in your name rhymes with VAG
  10. Nader- Its your favorite Harpeth Hall sweeties... did you get our e-mail? just to let you know...."Ms. Ashley" aint all that and a bag of chips... she may have some game on the field...but she doesnt stand a chance on the "REAL" field. see ya tonight
  11. Division 2 should be a great match up between Harpeth Hall & Briarcrest... Harpeth Hall is strong this yr. & has a VERY deep bench; another advantage is that they didn't lose a single starter last yr. Briarcrest did; it'll be a rematch but the honeybears will take home the gold ball......
  12. PS..... Mathew Jacques (#5) paddles my canoe! I predict an interception or two or 10 Nader- we'll be looking out for you. ROLL RED The terrific trio- Grace^2 and Mace
  13. As a current Harpeth Hall student, I am VERY interested in " a real Mccallie man" report to the student section of the MBA side the first 3 or 4 rows will be loaded with HOT CHICKS!! but dont forget the cheerleaders... they will putting on a spectacular half time performance. My prediction.....you dont get a HH girl because you post about hitting on them on coacht message boards. -Love- two very proud MBA fans ROLL RED ROLL
  14. coach t- what about the girls??
  15. hey muffin- this is not the track board. you're talking to cross-country people.
  16. no way--john yarbourgh is unstoppable. he will continue to dominate this event.
  17. whats one good reason why the spring fling wasn't held in nashville?
  18. great game. it's a shame though how one person can make a bad name for an entire team because of poor sportsmanship
  19. id think miss basketball would come from either father ryan or harpeth hall. they are both great teams; but its a little too early in the season to guess
  20. Defy Gravity, I just read a lot of different papers and I didn't see the Harpeth Hall vs. Riverdale scores in any of them. I was wondering what paper it is in or if you were at the game, what happened and what the score was?
  21. The competition in Div. II is really growing; the number one spot will probably be a fight between harpeth hall and ryan again; however the competition between bga and ba will be far better then it has been in the past.
  22. BA's Little is a pretty good player
  23. Little for BA is a pretty petite girl but she is definately the leader of the eagles, it being such a young team. There are some other little players out there who are talented. Sisk for harpeth hall can't be very tall but she is pretty talented. reibling also is a pretty good shooter.
  24. I think that the ba team is one to watch out for; they have a lot of new freshman coming up and they are a really young team with a lot of sophmores with experience. They might be able to at least compete with the Ryans and harpeth halls now
