Upperman is ahead of Marion Co. and Humboldt right now. I don't think they will get in at 4-6...though. If they beat York...they will probably get in at 5-5. Sweetwater is also still in the hunt.

Or just multiply open zone or tuiton paying publics too. That should be done...or do away with the multiplier. Open zone publics in higher populated areas have the same advantage as small privates in higher populated areas.

I don't think that's clear. It just says there will be a top and bottom bracket. It doesn't say the teams will be divided from top to bottom. You are right that is seems the middle will be divided.

After week 8 it looks to me that all 3 region 5 teams will go east. The west is overloaded. Richland could go to the southeast if they get in. If they don't...I think 2 region 5 teams will go to one east quadrant...and 1 team will go to the other east quadrant. Of course...that could change in the next 2 weeks.

This is a big game for SC. If SC can win out...their seeding will be much better if they don't. It could mean the difference between traveling or playing at home in the 1st round.

FC is 1-7...SC is 7-1. FC has lost a lot of close games to good opponents. SC has struggled the last few games against weaker opponents. What kind of crowd will FC bring to the HOLE?

Could and do are two different things. This is not a public/private debate. The vast majority of rural schools are zoned by their location. Alcoa is not one of them.

They have a defined zone. They can accept students from outside that zone if they pay tuition to attend. Therefore...they can pick and choose who they allow to attend. Open zone means anyone can attend at no extra cost. They have no defined zone.

They are not open zoned. They have tuition paying athletes.

There's no head scratching for me. They have all of Blount...Knox...and several other counties to potentially get players. They have the same population advantages Goodpasture...CPA...DCA do. Granted...they are competing with other Blount schools and the Knoxville private schools for those players. They have had DI talent out the ying yang over the last few years. Don't allow tuition paying athletes...and see how they do.

LA and Upperman are ahead of YAI...but YAI will have a good team too.
